Abstract

Indonesia’s Digital Talent Scholarship (DTS) program aims to enhance digital workforce readiness but struggles with sustaining engagement and knowledge retention in online training. While gamification (e.g., badges, leaderboards) has shown promise in education, its effectiveness in professional training and across diverse regional contexts remains unclear. This study examines how gamification elements influence engagement and retention in DTS’s Cloud Computing course, while assessing regional variations in outcomes. A quasi-experimental design compared 1,200 participants (gamified vs. standard LMS groups) using pre/post-tests, ANOVA, and regression analyses. Data included engagement surveys, retention tests, and demographic questionnaires. Engagement levels were consistent across provinces, but retention varied significantly, with weak correlations between gamification elements and outcomes. Regional disparities suggested contextual factors (e.g., resources, culture) outweighed gamification’s direct impact. The study underscores the need for context-sensitive gamification strategies tailored to regional and cultural differences, challenging one-size-fits-all approaches. It calls for future research on longitudinal effects, qualitative insights, and narrative-driven gamification to optimize professional training.

Abstract

Sexual violence remains a pressing concern in Indonesia, with thousands of cases reported annually, yet only a fraction proceed to trial due to the withdrawal of reports by victims. This study investigates the factors that influence survivors of sexual violence to withdraw their legal complaints, and the subsequent impact on the legal process, particularly within the jurisdiction of the Central Kalimantan Regional Police. Employing an empirical juridical research method, this study collects data through in-depth interviews with survivors, police officers, and representatives from victim support institutions. The findings reveal that social stigma, fear of retaliation, distrust in the legal system, and insufficient legal or psychological support often lead victims to abandon legal proceedings. Despite the legal framework provided by Law No. 12 of 2022 on Criminal Sexual Violence, procedural barriers such as evidentiary requirements and inconsistent application of victim protection laws persist. The research underscores the need for a stronger integration of legal support mechanisms, survivor-focused policies, and community education to ensure justice. These findings contribute to understanding the real-world limitations of the TPKS Law's implementation and call for systemic reforms to support victims more effectively.

Abstract

The Power of Attorney to Sell can be used as the basis for drafting a Sale and Purchase Deed if the seller cannot be present during the signing. However, in practice, the Power of Attorney to Sell is often misused for purposes that violate the law, such as the illegal appropriation of land by individuals or groups aiming to seize ownership of others' land unlawfully, as well as the use of falsified Powers of Attorney to Sell as the basis for drafting Sale and Purchase Deeds before the Land Deed Official. This study examines and analyzes the legal consequences and the application of the principle of prudence by Notaries and Land Deed Officials in relation to the forgery of the Power of Attorney to Sell in the drafting of Sale and Purchase Deeds. It also evaluates the legal standing of falsified Powers of Attorney to Sell as the basis for creating Sale and Purchase Deeds, which can result in criminal, civil, and administrative sanctions. This study's findings demonstrate that applying the principle of prudence by Notaries and Land Deed Officials is crucial to preventing misuse and maintaining public trust in authentic deeds.

Abstract

Education quality is a crucial element in the sustainability and reputation of schools, while student transfers can serve as indicators of dissatisfaction with the educational services provided. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the factors influencing education quality and its relationship with student transfer rates at Pelangi Kasih School, North Jakarta. This study employs a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the school principal, educators, and students who had transferred out of the school, involving a total of nine informants. To analyze the data, the researcher used NVivo 12 Pro software to assist in processing and examining the interview results. The findings reveal that factors such as the quality of teaching, teacher–student relationships, school facilities, and school management significantly influence perceptions of education quality. Additionally, external factors such as distance to school and academic pressure also contribute to students' decisions to transfer. The study suggests the need to strengthen school management strategies, improve teaching quality, and adopt a holistic approach to student well-being in order to maintain education quality and reduce student transfer rates. The implications of this research are expected to provide valuable insights for school administrators in designing policies that support sustainable education quality.

Abstract

Caesarean section is a surgical procedure that requires the use of prophylactic antibiotics throughout its implementation. Providing prophylactic antibiotics before surgery can reduce the risk of postoperative infections. The most common short-term complications of a caesarean section are wound infections. This research aims to ascertain the profile of prophylactic antibiotic use in caesarean section patients and to review the incidence of infections. The method used is a literature review. A total of eleven papers met the inclusion criteria for review. Based on the results of the article review, all of the research conducted were randomised controlled trial (RCT) studies. Randomised controlled trials (RCTs) are the gold standard for assessing the benefits of a treatment. Cefazolin, the first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, is the most commonly used antibiotic for patients undergoing caesarean section. This aligns with the recommendations in the guideline. The highest prevalence of post-cesarean section infections is wound infections, with a percentage of 11.8% or 437 caesarean section patients. The most common microbiological pattern causing these infections is Staphylococcus aureus.

Abstract

Third-party Infrastructure, Facilities and Public Utilities (PSU) liabilities arise from Space Utilisation Permits received by third parties to utilise land they own. Many liabilities for Space Utilization Permits have not been submitted, even though the Space Utilization Permit has expired, and the land is being utilized by third parties, who should be using public facilities. Risk management is made so that the risks in managing these liabilities can be reduced to an acceptable level, and the objectives in managing third-party PSU liabilities can be achieved. In implementing risk management, this study uses the ISO 31000: 2018 framework to guide the risk management process. The process starts from identification, analysis, evaluation, and risk treatment. The method used in risk evaluation is assessing the likelihood and impact. Based on the results of the research, 24 risk events were obtained, which were then analysed and evaluated, showing three risk events in the very high category, four risk events in the high category, 8 risk events in the medium category, and nine risk events in the low and very low categories. For risk events with medium to very high categories, this research provides suggestions for risk mitigation actions that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government can take to reduce the occurrence of these risks.

Abstract

The global consulting firm is urged to undergo a digital transformation trend driven by Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), enabling the automation of complex tasks and enhancing decision-making, which overlaps with traditional consulting services. This study examines the impact of Generative AI on the global consulting firm by analyzing macro trends of Generative AI and the core competencies of the global consulting firm, inviting business owners from several industries and Generative AI consultants for interviews. Adopting a qualitative method, this research generates a SWOT analysis and proposes an adaptation strategy for the global consulting firm. Findings reveal that Generative AI can automate some tasks, such as analytics, but cannot fully replace traditional consulting due to functional limitations. Challenges—including data security, unstandardized processes, and workforce resistance—hinder adoption, which means it cannot substitute traditional consulting services immediately. The global consulting firm should leverage its strengths—AI expertise, global partnerships, and comprehensive service—to support client challenges as business opportunities.
