Abstract

A scrotal hernia is a continuation of an inguinal hernia that enters the scrotum. The prevalence of this case is most common in developing countries at 67% compared to developed countries of around 6%. Risk factors that trigger this disease are age, occupation, gender, congenital and previous surgery history. In this case, it was reported that a 48-year-old male patient came with complaints of a lump in the right testicle since 10 years ago. The lump will appear and enlarge especially when the patient coughs, strains or does heavy activities. The lump will disappear and re-enter if the patient lies down and rests. There is no history of trauma and other complaints in the patient. In the examination of the localized status of the dextra scrotum, it was found that there was a round mass or lump with a size of 7x5x3 cm, a dense elastic consistency, the same color as the skin, firmly bounded, intestinal noise (+), inflammatory signs (-), and a lump could be inserted into the abdominal cavity. The operative therapies performed for hernia cases are hernioraphy and hernioplasty.

Abstract

The implementation of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 in the manufacturing industry aims to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and environmental compliance. This study explores the driving factors and benefits of ISO certification through interviews with five manufacturing companies in Indonesia. The findings indicate that certification adoption is driven by customer requirements, government regulations, and international partner demands. Additionally, ISO certification is utilized to standardize production processes and improve quality and environmental management systems. However, companies face challenges related to employee engagement, changes in ISO standards, and the complexity of external audits. Despite these challenges, the benefits of certification outweigh the difficulties, particularly in improving efficiency, regulatory compliance, and business competitiveness. This study suggests that companies should enhance employee involvement, optimize audit systems, and conduct continuous evaluations to maximize the effectiveness of ISO certification.

Abstract

The 15th Malaysian General Election in 2022 is a democratic celebration in Malaysia which is held every five years. What was interesting about the 15th General Election was the political drama, because there were no political parties or coalitions that achieved a minimum majority, namely 122 seats out of 222 seats. Barisan Nasional and UMNO conducted a Unity Kingdom with Pakatan Harapan after the 15th General Election. In this research, researchers looked at qualitative methods for this case. Unity Politics is considered to be a new political constellation in Malaysia. This is because UMNO and Barisan Nasional have more experience than the other competing parties. Therefore, this research looks at how Pakatan Harapan was able to win in the 15th General Election and the joining of Barisan Nasional-UMNO to Pakatan Harapan.

Abstract

Abstract

Traffic accidents are a serious problem that requires in-depth analysis to identify patterns and risk factors that influence them. This study applies the clustering method in data mining techniques to segment traffic accident profiling on the Bakauheni - Terbanggi Besar Toll Road. Two clustering algorithms, namely K-Means and K-Medoids, are used to divide accident data into three zones, namely the safe zone, the alert zone, and the danger zone. The main objectives of this study are to identify accident distribution patterns and evaluate the performance of the two clustering methods. The results of clustering using the K-Means method show that 29.7% of the data are classified as the danger zone, 38.9% are in the safe zone, and 31.4% are in the alert zone. Meanwhile, the results of clustering using K-Medoids show that 32.8% of the data are in the danger zone, 34.2% are in the safe zone, and 33.1% are in the alert zone. To evaluate the quality of the clustering results, testing was carried out using three evaluation metrics, namely Silhouette Score, Davies-Bouldin Index (DBI), and Purity. In the K-Means method, the Silhouette Score was obtained at 0.365, DBI at 1.117, and Purity at 0.617. While in the K-Medoids method, the Silhouette Score was obtained at 0.273, DBI at 1.440, and Purity at 0.436. Based on the evaluation results, the K-Means method showed better clustering performance than K-Medoids, with a higher Silhouette Score value and a lower DBI, indicating better cluster quality.

Abstract

To cluster institutions that utilize the digital signature service provided by BSrE, with over 200 million digital signature transactions involving 750 institutions, this study conducted an RFC (Recency, Frequency, Conversion Rate) analysis, which is an adaptation of the RFM (Recency, Frequency, Monetary) framework and the K-Means clustering algorithm. The purpose of this analysis is to find significant clusters that reflect user activity patterns. The study found four clusters by using the Elbow Method to determine the ideal number of clusters. It is expected that these findings will help BSrE optimize resource allocation, increase the adoption of digital signature services, and support Indonesia's digital transformation. The findings contribute to the literature on clustering techniques in the context of public services and provide actionable recommendations to improve government policy strategies.

Abstract

Since 2018, the Indonesian government has issued a policy regarding Electronic-Based Government Systems. One of the steps taken is to transform documents into electronic documents. The security aspect that can be applied to electronic documents is the digital signature. After the enactment of this policy, digital signature users and transactions have increased. Increasing dynamic electronic signature transactions needs more attention. To deal with this increase in usage, anticipating and predicting the trends in digital signature usage is crucial. Trends prediction data can be used to consider capacity planning of infrastructure resources and improving user experience. The Prophet algorithm is a forecasting tool that has the ability for robust handling of time series data with strong seasonal patterns. The prophet algorithm can analyze patterns in digital signature transactions by accommodating irregular time series. Our research uses a comprehensive set of the Indonesian government’s digital signature transactions over a period of time. This dataset contains seasonal trends, like holidays, weekends, and special events. This condition makes the dataset fluctuate. This research aims to forecast trends and seasonality of digital signature transaction volumes in the future. This research demonstrates the implementation of the Prophet algorithm to digital signature transaction data. It is hoped that the forecasting data resulting from this research can be used as a model in the digital signature sector. Then this model can be used to determine infrastructure resource allocation.

Abstract

The Question Answering System is an important component of Natural Language Processing applications, allowing for efficient information processing and improving user experience. Despite the fact that BERT has provided additional work in QA tasks, the fact that it only supports up to 512 tokens has reduced its effectiveness in large-scale scenarios. This study addresses the problem by introducing a new algorithm that integrates hierarchical and dynamic memory networks with BERT. The method used to collect broad contexts into chunks that may be used for independent research, ensuring that no important information is missing. The dynamic memory module integrates and stores information in real time throughout the system, allowing for comprehensive context understanding. Depending on the SQuAD v2.0 dataset, the model achieved an Exact Match score of 78.10% and an F1 score of 87.27%. The F1-score value of standard BERT with a value of 81.9% increased to 87.27% with this approach. This research investigated the potential of structured and memory networks to overcome the weaknesses of BERT, provide solutions, and adapt to QA tasks.
