Abstract

Psychological well-being in individuals with diabetes is a crucial yet often overlooked aspect of disease management, as it directly influences glycemic stability, adherence to treatment, and the risk of complications or mortality. Despite its importance, variations in demographic, psychosocial, and environmental determinants remain insufficiently synthesized in the literature. This study aims to identify factors influencing psychological well-being in people with diabetes through a systematic review of 33 peer-reviewed journals (N = 20,282) retrieved from Google Scholar, PubMed, Crossref, and Scopus. The review examined determinants including age, gender, socioeconomic status, self-efficacy, self-management, religiosity, mindfulness, self-compassion, gratitude, coping strategies, social support, supportive environments, and access to healthcare. The findings indicate that individuals with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus face persistent psychosocial stress due to lifelong insulin use, whereas those with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus are more affected by lifestyle-related factors. Overall, higher levels of psychological well-being were associated with better glycemic control, improved treatment adherence, and reduced risk of complications. The study highlights the need for effective psychosocial interventions, integration of mental health support in diabetes care, and the development of comprehensive measurement standards. These implications are critical for policymakers, healthcare providers, and community-based programs seeking to improve the holistic well-being of people with diabetes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Firm-specific, Industry-specific, Macroeconomic factors, and Risk Based Capital (RBC) on the profitability of life insurance companies in Indonesia. This study uses secondary data, namely financial statement data of life insurance companies in Indonesia, macroeconomic data, and other information available on company websites, AAJI, OJK, and other sources. The data period used covers 2019 to 2023. The analysis method applied is regression analysis. Findings show that previous research conducted by Killins (2020) in Canada found that firm-specific factors such as liquidity and economic growth influence company profitability, while company size has a negative relationship with profitability. Industry-specific factors did not yield significant results related to profitability. Macroeconomic factors such as GDP growth and equity return show a significant influence on company profitability. In a study conducted by de Haan and Kakes (2010) in the Netherlands, it was shown that insurance companies with high profitability tend to have better solvency levels. The findings of this study can provide insights for life insurance companies in Indonesia regarding the factors that influence their profitability. This study contributes to understanding how Firm-specific, Industry-specific, Macroeconomic factors, and Risk Based Capital (RBC) affect the profitability of life insurance companies in Indonesia.

Abstract

Polri Super App is a digital innovation developed by the Indonesian National Police to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of public services. This study aims to analyze public perception of the Polri Super App in optimizing public services. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through live and online interviews involving users of the application. The findings reveal that, while the Polri Super App is designed to simplify various administrative services—such as SIM renewal, SKCK applications, and police reports—many users still encounter significant challenges, including system malfunctions, registration errors, and limited public awareness or socialization. These issues contribute to low levels of user satisfaction and hinder the overall adoption of the application. The results highlight the need for technical improvements, better user interface design, and comprehensive public education to increase accessibility and trust in digital public services. The implications of this research underscore the importance of continuous evaluation and user-centered innovation in supporting the National Police’s efforts toward digital transformation and effective e-governance in Indonesia.

Abstract

Climate change and stakeholder pressure have driven companies to adopt sustainability strategies, including sustainability reporting and environmental innovation. Both are considered effective in enhancing corporate reputation amid growing public awareness of social and environmental responsibility. This study aims to systematically review scholarly literature that discusses the influence of sustainability reporting and environmental innovation on corporate reputation. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a descriptive qualitative approach, identifying 25 articles from leading scientific databases published between 2021 and 2025. The results show that both variables positively influence corporate reputation, whether examined separately or in an integrated manner. The integration of sustainability reporting with environmental innovation is perceived to build stronger public perception of a company's credibility and commitment to sustainability. Several factors, such as industry characteristics, regulatory pressure, organizational culture, and public perception, were found to moderate the strength of this influence. In conclusion, modern corporate reputation is largely shaped by how well a company combines transparency in reporting with tangible actions through continuous environmental innovation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Employee Satisfaction and Work-life Balance on Employee Performance at the Pati Regency Transportation Office, with Employee Engagement as a mediating variable. The method used is quantitative with the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. Data was obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to 120 respondents who are State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Transportation Office. The results of the study show that Employee Satisfaction and Work-life Balance have a significant positive effect on employee performance. However, Employee Satisfaction has no significant effect on Employee Engagement, while Work-life Balance has a significant effect on Employee Engagement. Employee Engagement also does not significantly mediate the effect of Employee Satisfaction on performance, but has a negative mediating effect on the effect of Work-life Balance on performance. These findings contribute to the literature on human resource management in the public sector and become the basis for formulating policies to improve the performance of civil servants through strategies to increase job satisfaction and work-life balance.

Abstract

Technological advances and the Internet transform the way humans interact, learn, work, and access information. Cyberloafing is one of the emerging phenomena, where employees use internet access during working hours for personal activities. Many factors influence cyberloafing, including psychological capital (PsyCap) and conscientiousness. Research uses a quantitative approach to the type of correlational research. The research was conducted at one of the health departments. Sampling uses probability sampling, where every individual in the population has an equal chance to be selected as a sample. In this study, data collection techniques use online questionnaires or Google Forms distributed to respondents as a selected tool. In this study using descriptive data analysis techniques, the subsequent test pre- conditional analysis precedes the normality and multicolinerity test, and finally the double regression analysis. The results of categorization in the field showed that high levels of psychological capital correlated with lower rates of cyberloafing in the workplace. Field data showed differences from previous predictions, where both levels of cybersecurity and conscientiousness both had a picture of very low categories. Analysis shows that cyberloafing is affected by both variables by 48%. As for the advice to the agency is to organize a training program aimed at improving the psycap and conscientiousness of employees. The effort to develop the psychcap and consciousness can be seen as a strategic investment in strengthening the well-being and productivity of employees, in addition to effectively reducing the likelihood of cyberloafing behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the correlation between consumption values, attitudes, and sustainable purchasing intentions among Muslim millennial consumers. Using a quantitative approach, data was collected from 225 respondents who were active on social media and had eaten at a halal-certified Japanese restaurant. Analysis using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) showed that concerns about food safety, health awareness, as well as prestige, affordability, visibility, and emotional values had a positive influence on attitudes towards halal certification and sustainable purchasing intentions. Price values also significantly affect continuous purchase intentions, although they do not affect attitudes. These findings provide important insights for halal food business players, especially Japanese restaurant operators, to refine marketing strategies in attracting and retaining halal conscious consumers in Indonesia.

Abstract

Cognitive development is a crucial aspect of a child's overall growth. This process refers to the stages in which the child undergoes changes that help them remember, understand, process information, and solve problems. One of the key factors in enhancing cognitive development in children is exclusive breastfeeding, defined as breastfeeding without any complementary foods since birth. This systematic review aims to determine the optimal duration of exclusive breastfeeding for cognitive development in children. This research is a systematic review focusing on journals published between 2012 and 2022, using the keywords ("duration" OR "month" OR "months") AND ("exclusive breastfeeding" OR "exclusive breastmilk feeding") AND ("cognitive development" OR "intelligence quotient" OR "cognitive abilities") in the PubMed, ScienceDirect, and ProQuest databases. The review was conducted based on the PRISMA guidelines and evaluated using the JBI Critical Appraisal tools. The results identified three relevant journals. Research by Jedrychowski et al. (2012) and Cando reported that exclusive breastfeeding for six months led to greater cognitive development improvements in children compared to durations of less than six months. In contrast, Choi et al. (2018) found that exclusive breastfeeding for less than six months resulted in higher cognitive development gains compared to six months. This systematic review indicates a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and improvements in cognitive development in children. This association is likely attributed to the nutrients found in mother's milk, such as omega-3, which are beneficial for supporting children's cognitive development.

Abstract

Public health awareness has grown alongside technological progress, as broader access to information now enables individuals to easily obtain health knowledge from diverse sources. This study aims to examine how attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, destination image, electronic word of mouth, and perceived risk influence medical tourism visit intention. This research seeks to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing individuals’ intention to engage in medical tourism abroad. The study employed the PLS-SEM method. Data from 304 respondents were collected cross-sectionally using an online questionnaire. The results of this study confirm the hypotheses regarding the relationships between attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, electronic word of mouth, and destination image with visit intention. All five variables individually have a significant positive correlation with visit intention. The findings of this study support the improvement of attitude and subjective norms as priorities in developing Indonesia’s medical tourism sector.
