Abstract

Introduction: Street children are a highly vulnerable group with limited education, lack of family support, and restricted access to accurate information on sexual and reproductive health (SRH). These conditions place them at higher risk of unintended pregnancy, unsafe abortion, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV/AIDS. Objective: This study aims to explore the experiences and understanding of street children regarding sexual and reproductive health. Method: A qualitative design with a phenomenological approach was employed. Ten street children in Jakarta were selected as participants using snowball sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews using a semi-structured interview guide and audio recordings. Thematic analysis was conducted through transcription, coding, grouping of subthemes and themes, and using strategy member check, peer debriefing, audit trial and thick description to ensure credibility Result: Analysis generated 32 initial codes, which were grouped into 14 subthemes and condensed into seven major themes: (1) street life and lack of family support; (2) fragmented and myth-based knowledge of puberty and SRH; (3) early sexual experiences and child marriage; (4) sexual harassment and violence on the street; (5) limited knowledge and negative perceptions of contraception; (6) misconceptions about HIV/AIDS and STIs; and (7) unequal sexual and gender norms. These interrelated factors increased vulnerability to risky sexual behaviors, early pregnancy, and exposure to violence. Conclusion: Street children have limited and often inaccurate knowledge of SRH and are highly exposed to risky sexual behaviors without adequate protection.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought significant changes to public administration and public policy in the era of Society 5.0. This study analyzes the opportunities and challenges of implementing AI in government using a qualitative approach through literature review and policy analysis. The study finds that AI has the potential to improve the efficiency of public services through automation, policy data analysis, and intelligent government systems. However, there are complex challenges to its adoption, such as regulatory gaps, data privacy concerns, bureaucratic resistance, and the digital divide. Key findings from this study identify three critical issues: (1) the urgency of AI ethics and data protection accountability, (2) a phased approach that prioritizes specific sectors (health, education), and (3) public education to build understanding and trust. This study also highlights the potential of AI to improve government accountability through fraud detection and public-private partnerships. This study advocates a human-centered AI governance model that balances technological innovation with public transparency, citizen engagement, and principles of social justice.

Abstract

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) play an important role in regional infrastructure, including Spatial Data Management, Spatial Analysis, Infrastructure Mapping, Supervision and Monitoring, Infrastructure Planning, Risk Reduction, and Efficiency Improvement. The existence of adequate infrastructure in a region has a positive and significant relationship with the food security of that region. The mechanism of this positive relationship can take the form of: increasing accessibility and productivity; improving distribution networks and availability; developing added value from each production output and supporting the independence of communities or regions. The enormous role of GIS in Regional Infrastructure Development is also considered essential in supporting the food security of a region at the national level. The advantage of GIS is its ability to analyze and display data in a spatial context (Geographic Coordinate System), so that it can determine things such as location, conditions, trends, patterns, and modeling. This enables interactive and rapid simulation and spatial analysis of a region.

Abstract

The use of presurgical antibiotics is common, but adherence to guideline is low. Improper use can lead to antibiotic resistance. A preliminary study was conducted at RSPI Bintaro Jaya hospital between October and December 2023. The study found that the correct type of antibiotic and the timing of administration (30-60 minutes before incision) were both below 60% adherence. Research objectives is to analyze the appropriateness and rationality of pre-surgical antibiotics prescriptions and to evaluaste the causes of noncompliance. The research used a mixed-methods approach. Descriptive statistics to analyze prescribing patterns. Semi-structured interviews to understand the reasons behind prescribing practices. Research finding: Adherence to prescribing guidelines for antibiotic prophylaxis was less than 60%. While doctors had the capability and opportunity to prescribe correctly, concerns about infection risk and surgical outcomes influenced their motivation, leading to potentially less judicious use of antibiotics.

Abstract

The food crop subsector plays a crucial role in regional development by contributing to food security, farmer welfare, and rural economic stability. West Pasaman Regency, one of the main food production centers in West Sumatra, has significant potential but faces challenges such as productivity fluctuations, land conversion, and socio-economic issues among farmer households. This research, titled Analysis of the Development of Food Crops in Supporting Sustainable Agriculture in West Pasaman Regency, aims to identify the economic, social, and environmental conditions of the subsector and formulate holistic recommendations for supporting sustainable agriculture. The study employs secondary data analyzed descriptively, quantitatively, and qualitatively, using trend analysis and Shift Share to evaluate competitiveness. Results indicate that the food crop subsector in West Pasaman is projected to grow by 1.67% in 2024, higher than the provincial rate of 0.57%. The positive Competitive Effect suggests a local competitive advantage. However, unstable rice GDP and productivity, an increasing poor population, and ongoing land conversion remain threats to sustainability. Based on the analysis, strategic recommendations focus on three pillars: (1) economic—boosting productivity through eco-friendly technology, diversification, and downstream processing; (2) social—strengthening farmer institutions, regenerating agricultural labor, and ensuring food-based social protection; and (3) environmental—protecting productive land, conserving resources, and promoting sustainable cultivation practices. Overall, the development of the food crop subsector must adopt a holistic approach to enhance regional competitiveness and achieve sustainable development goals.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia often face limited marketing budgets, making cost-effective strategies crucial. One emerging approach is leveraging nano and micro influencers, who maintain closer engagement with audiences than larger-scale influencers. This study analyzes the impact of influencer credibility—attractiveness, trustworthiness, and expertise—on parasocial interaction (PSI) and purchase intention (PI), and compares differences between nano and micro influencers. Using a quantitative design, data were collected from 170 respondents through an online survey targeting skincare industry followers. Analysis employed Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and Multi Group Analysis (MGA). Results confirm that influencer credibility positively and significantly affects both PSI and PI (H1–H6 accepted), while PSI also significantly influences PI (H7 accepted). Comparative analysis shows no significant differences across most hypotheses (H8–H14 rejected), except H13, which reveals that nano influencers’ expertise exerts a stronger impact on PI. These findings demonstrate that influencer credibility directly drives PSI and PI, with PSI reinforcing PI. Practically, the study highlights the value of both nano and micro influencers as viable digital marketing strategies for MSMEs, with nano influencers’ expertise offering a distinct advantage in boosting purchase intention.

Abstract

Manufacturing competition demands improved quality and efficiency with the lowest possible defects. This study optimizes the pants production process at PT Magnum Attack Indonesia through the integration of Six Sigma DMAIC and TRIZ. Secondary data for July–December 2024 were analyzed to map CTQ, calculate DPMO and sigma levels, and identify root causes using Pareto and fishbone; Improvement recommendations are formulated through the TRIZ contradiction matrix and inventive principles. The results showed a total production of 6,951 units with 430 defects (DPU 0.06186; Final Yield 93.82%; total DPMO 127,024; average sigma 4.45). The dominant defects were suture (43.95%) and precision (31.86%) which accounted for 75.81% of the total defects. Key solutions: layout/ergonomics and visual aids (principle 17), enforcement of inspection SOPs (principle 10), local quality in critical embroidery areas (principle 3), and digitization of CAD-based techpacks (principle 28). This approach suppresses defects without sacrificing productivity and provides a basis for continuous improvement for increased competitiveness.
