Abstract

This study focuses on optimizing the ship routing for Indonesia’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) logistics network using Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP). Indonesia's pivotal role in the global LNG market underscores the need for efficient logistics, especially given the challenges of limited port capacity, infrastructure, fluctuating demand, and environmental impact. MILP techniques were applied to address these challenges by optimizing vessel routes, minimizing costs, and reducing emissions. The research identified bottlenecks within Indonesia's logistics network and proposed optimized shipping strategies that enhance cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency. The findings contribute to sustainable energy logistics and provide actionable insights for stakeholders managing Indonesia's LNG supply chain.

Abstract

This study explores the influence between financial literacy and digital literacy, on investment sacam awareness among university students in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach and the Structural Equation Model Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS), data was collected from 288 university students from 38 provinces in Indonesia through an online questionnaire survey. The results of the analysis show that both financial literacy and digital literacy have significant indirect effects on investment scam awareness through the mediation of cybercrime awareness. The findings support the importance of a good understanding of financial literacy and digital literacy in countering the risk of investment scams, especially in today's digital era. However, this study also found differences in the effect of financial literacy on investment scam awareness based on economic and non-economic educational backgrounds, highlighting the importance of considering demographic factors in efforts to increase investment scam awareness among university students. These findings make an important contribution to the understanding of investment fraud prevention efforts and highlight the need for a more inclusive educational approach focusing on financial literacy and digital literacy at the higher education level in Indonesia.

Abstract

K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) is a method that belongs to the group in classifying data that is simple and easy to implement, effective on larger data, and can classify data appropriately. One of the advantages possessed by the K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm is that it can be applied to large amounts of data and has a lot of noise so this method is quite easy to implement. This study aims to utilize the advantages of the K-NN algorithm in data-based classification to increase efficiency and accuracy in the employee selection process in determining suitable employee candidates by the criteria determined by the company. The results showed that the results of employee presets received from 21 testing data were 51% and for employee presentations that failed as much as 49% while from the entire data set of 140 data, the accuracy level produced after being tested using rapid miner tools resulted in 82% accuracy. So it can be concluded that the percentage accuracy of 82% shows that most prospective employees have been predicted or classified correctly by the model. This high level of accuracy can be an indication that the K-Nearest Neighbor method used in combination with Rapidminer can handle prospective employee data well.

Abstract

Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is a type of malignant soft tissue neoplasm that develops from mesenchymal cells of skeletal muscle origin. This condition comprises multiple subtypes with distinct histologic characteristics. While cases of RMS are uncommon overall, they are more frequently diagnosed in children, although adults can also be affected. Treatment options for RMS include radiotherapy, with the specific therapy and dosage determined according to the IRS Group classification system. This study was conducted by collecting secondary data of RMS patients from the medical records consecutively who had been diagnosed and received radiotherapy. The data resources were from Radiotherapy Department and Anatomical Pathology Department of RSUP Dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung and RSUD Al-Ihsan Bandung, between 2017 and 2023. A total of 31 patients were documented. The age of patients ranging from 3 to 66 years old (mean=34.6), with each of age group (children, adult, elderly) consists of 10, 10, and 11 patients respectively. Based on histologic subtype, most cases of RMS recorded are embryonal subtype (n=10) followed by alveolar RMS and pleomorphic RMS with 6 patients each. The extremities were the most common location (n=13) followed by the head and neck region (n=10). After radiotherapy, 20 cases were accounted as radiosensitive and 11 cases were radioresistant. Thirty one patients with rhabdomyosarcoma have received radiotherapy at two referral hospitals in Bandung between 2017-2023. The tumors in pediatric and elderly patients were more sensitive to therapy. Pleomorphic RMS were the most sensitive subtype, and the larger a tumor, the more sensitive it can be.

Abstract

This research discusses the validity of divorce judgments issued by civil courts against Catholic couples from the perspective of Canon Law. Canon Law itself, as the internal legal system of the Catholic Church, does not recognize divorce as a means to end a valid marriage. Marriage is considered sacred and indissoluble. Although civil courts have jurisdiction to issue divorce judgments according to state law, this research examines how such judgments are viewed from the perspective of Canon Law and their impact on the religious status of divorced couples. Through analysis, this research finds that divorce judgments by civil courts do not alter the marital status in the context of the Catholic Church, which still considers the marriage valid and binding. This finding highlights the legal dualism between state law and Canon Law and its practical implications for Catholic individuals facing divorce. This research recommends the need for a deeper understanding and sensitive handling of divorce cases involving Catholic couples to avoid legal and religious conflicts.

Abstract

The NEET rate in Indonesia is the highest among other ASEAN countries and has increased in 2022, coinciding with the first year JKP benefits can be claimed. The purpose of this study is to see and analyze the effect of JKP on the percentage of NEET in Indonesia. Using August 2022 sakernas data and 2021 podes data in the form of cross-section data, this study was conducted using the Ordinary Least Square method. The analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis in the form of regression analysis. The results of the analysis show that a 1% increase in the number of youth JKP recipients in the district/city reduces the percentage of NEET youth by 0.62% in 2022. Suggestions for the government are to increase JKP participation among youth aged 15-24 years. Review the requirements, claim procedures and obligations of JKP beneficiaries, to mitigate the risk of moral hazard.

Empirical data were collected from 332 millennial generation employees in Indonesia using an online survey assessed through a 7-point Likert scale. The study was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and confirmatory factor analysis to test seven proposed hypotheses. The study's findings indicate that organizational embeddedness and perceived organizational support are positively related to affective commitment both directly and through work engagement mediation. This research is expected to contribute to human resource policy-making to enhance affective commitment among millennial generation employees in Indonesia.

Abstract

Globalization and foreign direct investment (FDI) have made host country corruption a critical consideration for firms expanding internationally. This study investigates how perceived host country corruption influences the market entry mode choices of 207 Indonesian firms across 25 host countries between 2012-2022. Utilizing logistic regression analysis and grounded in transaction cost theory, we examine the likelihood of firms selecting joint ventures (JV) over wholly owned subsidiaries (WOS) in response to corruption risk. Results indicate that higher levels of perceived corruption in the host country significantly increase the probability of firms opting for JVs as a risk mitigation strategy. While strong country governance is often assumed to deter corruption, our findings suggest that it may not significantly reduce the perceived risk for firms entering foreign markets. This has important implications for policymakers seeking to attract foreign investment and for businesses developing strategies to navigate corrupt environments.
