Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the profiles of peddlers in Malalayang Dua Village, Malalayang District, Manado City. The research was carried out in the Malalayang Dua subdistrict, Malalayang District, Manado City. The research was conducted for three months, from August to October 2022. The data collected in the research were primary data and secondary data. Primary data was collected through direct interviews with mobile vendor respondents and direct field observations to see how mobile vendors interact with their buyers, then data triangulation was used to check data through interviews. Secondary data was obtained from documents from the Malalayang Dua Village which are related to research such as libraries and data from certain relevant agencies. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis where the collected data will be presented in tabular form and explained in descriptive words. The results of the study show that the profiles of mobile traders in Malalayang Dua Village, Malalayang District, Manado City are traders who sell various kinds of vegetables, spices and fish by traveling around for 8 hours every day. Traders from outside the region (Gorontalo and Makassar) trade in Manado for 7 to 20 years. The motivation to trade is due to encouragement from within and from outside the trader, such as the desire to move forward and generate income and family needs.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to compare the income and expenses of farming households in Tolok Village, Tompaso District in one growing season. The research was conducted for 3 months, from January to March 2022. The data analysis method used in the research was descriptive statistical analysis, namely by calculating the average income and tabulating the data to find out income, income of paddy rice farmers and expenditure on food and non-food consumption. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through direct interviews with farmers who were research respondents using a list of questions that had been prepared. Secondary data was obtained from related institutions, namely the village office, the internet via Google Search and Google Books, articles and scientific journals. The results of the study show that farm households still depend on income from farming. The average income earned by respondent rice farming households in Tolok Village is greater than that spent by farmers for their household needs. The total income received is IDR511,115,000 so that the total income per year is IDR1,022,230,000 and the total expenditure for farming households is IDR105,480,000 each year. The income of lowland rice farmers is sufficient to meet the needs of lowland rice farmers and their families. This also provides opportunities for the respondent farmer households to save money, open a business or send their children to school.

Abstract

The research aims to compare the marketing of Sambal Hj.Ani products using marketplace and social media platforms. The research was conducted from December 2021 to April 2022. The data used was digital marketing data for Sambal Hj.Ani obtained through interviews with Sambal Hj.Ani business owners and distributing questionnaires using the Google form to 15 consumers. Analysis of the research data was carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner. The results of research on differences in the marketing of Sambal Hj.Ani products on the marketplace platform have various variations with different wholesale prices and COD payments are available, users can find special prices and coupons, also offer cashback, postage discounts, and vouchers. Compared to marketplaces, social media platforms only offer sambal roa, cakalang chili and squid sambal products at fixed prices but there is no choice of COD payment methods. Sambal Hj.Ani's social media provides more precise, fast and expressive interactive with buyers as well as a neat and attractive display of designs, including contacts and addresses, highlighted with customer testimonials. The marketplace admin only needs to handle complaints, submit orders, and track marketplace inventory. Sales in July-September 2022 through the marketplace sold 210 bottles. In contrast, 56 bottles of the same product were sold via social media channels during the same time period. This shows that more effective marketing efforts lead to an increase in product popularity in the market.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the income and feasibility of Stevia farming in Tountimomor Village, West Kakas District, Minahasa Regency. The research was carried out for 3 months, from May to July 2022. The respondents in the study were determined deliberately. The data used are primary data collected through interviews based on questionnaires and secondary data obtained through Google Scholar in the form of books. The results showed that in the first 6 months the revenue did not cover all the costs incurred by farmers for the production of Stevia because all costs were incurred for 1 planting period which was for 6 years, so the income was still negative. Therefore, the second stage was continued, namely financial analysis to determine the feasibility of Stevia farming using the criteria of NPV, IRR, Net B/C and BEP. The results of the analysis of the feasibility of farming are feasible or Stevia farming in Tountimomor Village, West Kakas District, Minahasa Regency is feasible to implement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the income of mustard greens farming "pakcoy" in Rurukan Village, East Tomohon District. This research was conducted for 2 months, from August to October 2022. The data analysis method used in this study was descriptive analysis. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The primary data was obtained by means of a survey through the face-to-face stage using a questionnaire which contained a list of questions regarding the identity of the respondent, the input and output of the "pakcoy" mustard spoon farming. Secondary data obtained from books or literature related to the problem under study. The results showed that the total production of mustard spoon "pakcoy" obtained in one harvest of mustard spoon "pakcoy" was 759.09 Kg with a cultivated area of 0.162 Ha. The price that applies to farmers is IDR21,818/10Kg. The total costs incurred by farmers in one harvest of the mustard spoon "pakcoy" average IDR609,741. The total income of the "pakcoy" spoon mustard farmers in this business averages IDR1,381,818. The total income of mustard greens farmers with an average "pakcoy" spoon is IDR772,077 and the results of the R/C ratio analysis in one harvest show that the "pakcoy" spoon mustard farming is profitable for farmers so that it can be continued and developed.

Abstract

This study aims to determine product flow, information flow, and financial flow of potato commodities in Makaaruyen Village, Modoinding District, South Minahasa Regency. This research was conducted for 8 months, from March to October 2022. The data analysis method used in this research is descriptive analysis using tables and charts. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through direct interviews with respondents using a structured questionnaire. Secondary data were obtained from offices, districts, village offices, related agencies and journals relevant to research. The results showed that the potato supply chain in Makaaruyen Village consisted of farmers, collectors, traders and retailers. The flow of potato products starts from farmers who produce potatoes, collectors who buy potatoes from farmers, then retail traders who sell potatoes to end consumers and there are inter-island traders. The price level in the product flow varies in each supply chain actor. The financial flow starts from retailers who buy potatoes to collectors, then collectors buy potatoes from farmers with a payment system made entirely in cash. The flow of information flows from two directions, the first direction is that farmers inform collectors about the products harvested, collector traders inform inter-island traders and also inform retailers about the number of requests to farmers. The second stream of collecting traders informs farmers about the volume of crabs requested, the purchase price, the time to return the product and information about the supply of the product.

Abstract

This study aims to calculate the income of coconut farming in Jiko Belanga Village, Nuangan District, East Bolaang Mongondow Regency. This research was conducted during September 2022. The data used in this research are primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through direct interviews with 10 respondents using a questionnaire. And secondary data obtained through books, journals, and literature related to this research topic. The results of this study indicate that the average income received by the farmers of Jiko Belanga Village, Nuangan District, East Bolaang Mongondow Regency with coconut farming for one harvest/per quarter (3 months) with copra production of IDR4,956,517. and income per hectare is IDR2,065,215.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the supply chain and product flow, financial flow and information flow of cloves in Rerer Village. The research was carried out for 3 to 4 months. The research location was carried out in Rerer Village, Kombi District, Minahasa Regency. was chosen because it is one of the clove-producing areas. The data collection method uses primary data obtained directly through observation and in-depth interviews with informants using questionnaires, then uses secondary data obtained from literature books, research journals and/or articles or from agencies concerned with research. The research sampling method was by using Snowball Sampling with the number of samples in the study as many as 25 farmer respondents and 2 collector traders respondents. The results show that the supply chain moves from upstream to downstream with the flow of goods from farmers as producers to collectors and distributed to factories.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the profits of vegetable traders in the Pinangsungkulan Market, North Karombasan. The research was carried out for 3 months, from March to May 2020. The research was conducted at the North Karombasan Pinasungkulan Market. This research uses primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through interviews using a questionnaire (questionnaire) to vegetable traders at Pinasungkulan Market, North Karombasan. Secondary data was obtained from books available locally, the internet and accessing articles from various scientific journals. Revenue is obtained from the number of purchases of vegetables or the amount of production multiplied by the number of sales of vegetable traders for one week. The results of the study show that the vegetable traders in the Pinasungkulan Karombasan Market, Wanea District, Manado City can be said to be profitable. The total profits obtained from 15 respondents amounted to IDR 23,949,845 with an average of IDR 1,596,656 for selling vegetables in one week. This income value is quite enough for one week's income, it is possible that it will increase if vegetable buyers increase, especially on holidays which require the local community to buy more vegetables.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out what factors exist in the internal and external environment and to determine the right marketing strategy for the "Bunga Ditepi Jalan" ornamental plant business located in Winangun Satu Village, Malalayang District, Manado City. The research was conducted from October to November 2022, taking place in the Winangun Satu Village, Malalayang District, Manado City. The data collected is the collection of primary data obtained by conducting direct interviews using a questionnaire to the owner of the ornamental plant business "Bunga Ditepi Jalan" and consumers. The research sample was taken from 13 respondents concerned to fill out the research questionnaire. SWOT analysis has 4 (four) stages, namely data collection, SWOT determination, strategy formulation and decision making as well as business positioning. Based on the SWOT analysis that has been carried out, it shows that the ornamental plant business "Bunga Ditepi Jalan" is in Quadrant I with a score of (1.1:0.8) which means that the business is in a very profitable situation. This market has opportunities and strengths so that it can make the best use of the opportunities that exist. The right marketing strategy is the SO strategy, namely maintaining the quality and variety of ornamental plants, expanding online promotions, taking advantage of market opportunities and selling at affordable prices and expanding markets outside the region.
