Abstract

This study aims to examine the strategy of empathetic da’wah communication implemented by female preachers in fostering spiritual and emotional relationships with mosque congregants. The research focuses on the experience of Ustadzah Sri Maryatun, a senior female preacher at Nurul Iman Mosque in Jakarta. The method employed is descriptive qualitative research, using in-depth interviews and literature review as data collection techniques. The findings reveal that empathetic communication—manifested through personal engagement, non-judgmental listening, and appreciation of the mad’u’s life struggles—is key to the success of community-based da’wah. The female preacher in this study functions not only as a religious messenger but also as a companion and familial figure to her congregants. Moreover, her spiritual resilience in facing internal family pressure reinforces her dedication to da’wah. These findings indicate that an empathetic approach in da’wah offers a significant contribution in addressing the psychosocial needs of congregants and is worth developing within contemporary da’wah practices. This study also presents a fresh perspective on gender-based da’wah communication grounded in humanistic values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the persuasive communication techniques used by Ustadz Luqmanul Hakim in a lecture on the Munzalan TV Official YouTube Channel entitled "Allah Teaches the Way to Double Your Provisions!" The study uses a qualitative content analysis method with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained through lecture video transcripts which were then analyzed based on Aristotle's rhetorical theory including ethos, pathos, and logos. The results show that Ustadz Luqmanul Hakim combines these three aspects harmoniously: ethos is seen from the credibility and exemplary nature of his preaching, pathos appears through emotional touch and familiar language, while logos is seen from logical arguments sourced from the Qur'an and hadith. The application of this persuasive technique makes the preaching message not only informative, but also inspiring and encourages changes in audience behavior

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi transformasi pengelolaan masjid melalui pemanfaatan teknologi, dengan menekankan pentingnya efisiensi dan transparansi dalam mengelola tempat ibadah. Celah penelitian terletak pada kurangnya studi yang secara khusus mengkaji penerapan teknologi dalam konteks pengelolaan masjid. Kebaruan penelitian ini adalah penekanannya pada dakwah yang inklusif dan relevan, serta strategi penggunaan teknologi untuk meningkatkan partisipasi jamaah. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam dengan Ketua Dewan Kemakmuran Masjid (DKM) Jami’ Baitul Muslim. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pengurus masjid telah memanfaatkan media sosial dan aplikasi digital untuk meningkatkan komunikasi dan transparansi keuangan, meskipun tantangan tetap ada dalam melibatkan generasi muda. Kesimpulannya, optimalisasi teknologi dapat mentransformasi masjid menjadi pusat pemberdayaan masyarakat yang lebih efektif dan selaras dengan kebutuhan kontemporer.

Abstract

In this digital era, da'wah strategies have also undergone a transformation, from conventional methods to more modern and creative methods. Therefore, the background of this research is that many young people are reluctant to listen to advice such as lectures because they are considered boring and time-consuming. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the use of Podcasts in delivering da'wah is able to make young people, in particular, return to listening to lectures. This research was conducted qualitatively using a descriptive research design. Based on the results of the study, it shows that Ustadz Felix Siauw utilizes the Escape podcast as a digital da'wah medium that is adaptive to technological developments and the characteristics of young audiences. Through a persuasive, dialogical, and contextual communication style, he successfully conveys Islamic messages in a light but meaningful manner. The da'wah strategy implemented emphasizes a balance between emotional and rational aspects, and is supported by strong narrative skills.

Abstract

This study examines Al-Jam'iyatul Washliyah's moderate da'wah strategy in strengthening national insight in the digital disruption era. Al-Washliyah, established in 1930, has historically served as a mediator between traditional and modern Islamic thought. In the digital disruption era, challenges to religious moderation have become increasingly complex with online radicalization, religious hoaxes, and social polarization. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with library research approach. The findings reveal that Al-Washliyah implements moderate da'wah strategies through four main pillars: education based on religious moderation, rahmatan lil alamin da'wah, inclusive social charity, and economic empowerment. In the digital era, Al-Washliyah transforms its strategy through social media platform optimization, religious digital literacy development, cross-organizational collaboration, and strengthening moderate cadre networks. These strategies have proven effective in maintaining interfaith harmony and strengthening Pancasila national insight. Abstract

Artikel ini berupaya mengungkap gaya bahasa dalam dakwah Gus Elham pada akun TikTok @mt.ibadallah. Masalah utama penelitian ini adalah bagaimana gaya bahasa digunakan untuk menyampaikan pesan dakwah agar mudah diterima oleh masyarakat, khususnya generasi muda. Penelitian menggunakan metode analisis isi (content analysis) dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif berdasarkan teori gaya bahasa Gorys Keraf. Data diperoleh dari sebelas video dakwah Gus Elham yang diunggah pada bulan Agustus 2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Gus Elham memanfaatkan gaya bahasa campuran antara bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Jawa dialek Jawa Timur, dengan bentuk gaya perbandingan, repetisi, metafora, dan retoris. Penggunaan gaya bahasa tersebut menciptakan komunikasi dakwah yang akrab, persuasif, dan membumi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan retorika dan pemilihan diksi yang kontekstual mampu memperkuat efektivitas pesan dakwah di media sosial.

Abstract

This study examines aspects of visual design and game element concepts within the framework of enhancing the learning experience and student motivation. The focus is on traditional Al-Qur'an education, where learning is often textual and monologic, thus tending to decrease student learning motivation. This article develops a theoretical framework for the gamification of Al-Qur'an learning that integrates interactive visual elements to improve student engagement. The research method is a literature review based on Design-Based Research (DBR), a research paradigm that systematically designs, develops, and evaluates practical solutions. The results of the study produce a gamification design that considers Islamic values and the characteristic needs of the digital generation. The proposed framework includes a needs-based adaptive process, the utilization of digital platforms, and the strengthening of Islamic narrative elements. With appropriate design, gamification can transform Al-Qur'an learning from static text into an enjoyable visual experience, thereby expected to increase learning motivation in Islamic educational environments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berupaya merumuskan konsep media infografis berbasis ayat-ayat tematik pendidikan, mengintegrasikan fungsi sebagai media pembelajaran sekaligus media dakwah. Kajian ini bersifat konseptual dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi pustaka tematik (maudu‘i) terhadap ayat-ayat pendidikan dalam Al-Qur’an serta analisis prinsip desain komunikasi visual dan teori pembelajaran multimedia. Penelitian menghasilkan kerangka konseptual mencakup landasan teologis dan pedagogis dalam pemilihan ayat-ayat pendidikan, prinsip integrasi antara kandungan ayat dengan elemen visual yang sesuai dengan kaidah desain informasi dan etika visual Islami. Artikel ini menawarkan model rancangan infografis yang mengurai proses transformasi teks suci menjadi visual informatif, serta perspektif pemanfaatan konsep ini baik dalam konteks pembelajaran formal/non-formal maupun dakwah digital. Konsep yang dihasilkan diharapkan menjadi pedoman teoritis dan praktis bagi pengembang media pendidikan Islam, dai, maupun desainer komunikasi visual dalam menciptakan media dakwah-pembelajaran yang efektif, menarik, dan tetap menjaga kedalaman serta akurasi pesan Al-Qur’an.
