Abstract

The piodalan ceremony at the Pura Kahyangan Dalem Banjar Dakdakan was carried out in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic by continuing to put forward the government's recommendations and implement and adhere to health protocols. Ambivalence occurs in the community due to this pandemic. There is such a variety of reasoning processes in society, ranging from the attitude of the community that takes Covid-19's pandemic lightly to the point that there are people overreacting in addressing this pandemic and leading to excessive fear (paranoids). This can occur as a result of the many issues circulating about this pandemic whose reality of truth is still being questioned and its validity and reliability have not been tested. The condition of society which is still low in critical reasoning makes it easy to be consumed by disinformation or hoax issues. The above problems will be examined based on the perspective of Bhakti Marga to be able to uncover ambivalence that occurs in the community related to the impact on social life and religious community, especially the people of Banjar Dakdakan and to find out the level of public reliability of the stakeholders in the Banjar Dakdakan region when carrying out the piodalan ceremony in the Pura Kahyangan Dalem Banjar Dakdakan.

Abstract

Eschatology is a teaching that seems new in Hindu religious nuances, a term that is not yet popular but widely applied in society, there are various texts that describe the teachings of this eschatology, one of which is the Tutur Gong Besi text. The Tutur Gong Besi text is a text that describes this process in a comprehensive manner. details, starting from the stage of the ceremonial process, which consists of Nanem, Ngaben to Ngeroras, then the time of the ceremony which involves the calculation of Sasih and its formulation using Hindu or Wariga astrological systemics. to the qualification of the pemuput which specifically describes the competencies that a religious leader should have in presiding over the ceremony. It is hoped that a detailed description of the text will serve as a guide for the Hindu community to understand the dimensions of belief in life after death.

Abstract

This article explores the shrine or sacred place in the middle of the yard according to Balinese culture. Balinese buildings have a very complex structure with various other philosophical concepts. Surya Natah is an element of one of the sacred buildings in the middle of the yard that is able to provide energy in every human life. Based on this study, a Hindu cosmological concept was formed which is contained in Lontar Asta Bhumi as a reference or reference in building and positioning a pelinggih that can provide prosperity and prosperity in the yard of the house.

Abstract

Currently there are many challenges faced by humans, one of which is environmental problems. There have been many environmental damages which ironically have been caused by humans themselves. Land damage, air pollution, water pollution, forest fires, and so on are disasters that arise from human mistakes and desire. As religious beings, humans are very obedient in carrying out worship, but often forget the existence of other people. The teachings of theo-ecology offer a solution by harmonizing the relationship between humans and their creators and each other. Theo-ecology teaches humans to treat nature equally with other God's creations. Even in Hindu theo-ecological teachings, nature is not only God's creation but the existence of Himself. God permeates all of creation so that is appropriate for humans to treat nature with love. This concept is applied by Balinese Hindus through the celebration of Tumpek Bubuh as a day for all kinds of plants. On Tumpek Bubuh day, humans build harmonious interactions with plants through religious rituals.

Abstract

The problem of juvenile delinquency has special attention from various parties and other relevant agencies. But some parties consider that is not something extraordinary. The naughtiness is considered as a psychological phase that is natural and everyone will experience at a certain age. Teen ages are considered as the puberty phase where they are looking for self-identity. When looking for that identity, teenagers or students are often misdirected or misguided. In a traditional doctrine contained in the Lontar Śilakramaning Aguron-guron which is one of the sources literature used as a rule of study. This article aims to explore, elevate, and introduce sources of local wisdom as a source of information to increasing the knowledge. The meaning of the Lontar Śilakramaning Aguron-guron text as one of the guidelines for realizing students who have high character, including students are obliged to dutiful and obedient to teachers; students are able to uphold the principles of truth; students are able to distance themselves from inappropriate characters, attitudes, and behaviors; students must use a polite, clean, and neat clothing; students are required to have pure hearts and minds; students are able to control the passions.

Abstract

Hinduism is an Art religion. In simple terms, art can be defined as the result of a creation or the fruit of human thoughts and feelings that are expressed in form or form, sound and others. Which can give happiness to the heart and life. Therefore, through works of art such as sculptures or others, Hindus pour their beliefs and feelings into Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa. Through this work of art, Hindus concentrate more on worshiping the infinite greatness of God and are more concentrated on worshiping God who is unmanifest, unthinkable and inconceivable by this limited human mind. In order to always have a harmonious relationship between creation and creator, human limitations must be recognized. Based on this, there are two ways to appreciate God, namely: Sagunam (manifested) which is immanent and Nirgunam (unmanifested) which is transcendent. Man realizes that God has power beyond the limits of human strength and the human mind itself. There is nothing that exactly defines God Himself. And for most people it is very difficult to imagine (menuja) such a God, so the Vedas provide two methods of worshiping God, namely Pratika-Upasana or Sagunam-Upasana and Ahamgara-Upasana or Nirgunam-Upasana Starting from this, worship uses good symbols. it is in the form of statues, pictures, offerings and others that are often seen in various rituals of worship of Hindus in general, including the Sagunam-Upasana worship.

Abstract

Implementation ngestu the cremation ceremony is one effort that was built in the tradition of the community to be able to unite ourselves on the social status, class, social stratification, and social attributes in the social life of the religious. In its implementation uphold a sense of solidarity and togetherness to build egalitarian values ​​for all citizens with the same service. But the objective reality and historical indicate that the Balinese social structure divided into traditional classes where each class has a class solidarity, prestige, and attributes that can be used as a class identity. All of the attributes relating to the status inherent in a person and has important implications on the establishment of a hierarchy of social and previledge which refers to the position of high-low as well as superior and inferior in leader ship of the network system, where the higher grade is considered to have power and authority over spacious with others in the social and religious life in the community. The difference can be deconstructed with realistic thinking with reference to the literature, ie essentially every human being is the same, because it comes from God. Therefore, there is no human reason to distinguish itself with other human beings, because of the social realities on the social attributes of a product of human culture as a result of erroneous interpretation of the teachings of the holy book of the Vedas.

Abstract

Hinduism in conveying the teachings of his religion is not only always conveyed through dharma discourse, but also done through literary works, one of which is the story of Atma Prasangsa. This story tells the spiritual journey of Bhagawan Penyarikan. During his journey, the bhagawan saw how the atma was treated in such a way, there were those who were given gifts but also were repeatedly tortured. Therefore the author is interested in examining the story of this Atma Prasangsa to find out how the Atma Prasangsa story is, and what Hindu theological concepts are contained in the Atma Prasangsa story. This study uses a qualitative design, in conducting research on the story of Atma Prasangsa using research methods that are designed first determine the object of research, determine the source and type of data, determine research instruments, determine data collection techniques, conduct data analysis and test data validity. From the results of the study it was found that the contents of the story of Atma Prasangsa tell the story of the spiritual journey of Bhagawan in the extraction and recounting the karma pahala of Atma obtained at the time of the Atman world. In general, the story of Atma Prasangsa contains the concept of Hindu theology in the form of tattwa, susila and acara.

Abstract

The entry of Sanskrit into Indonesia was a language contact and cultural contact known as the bilateral relationship between the Indian and the Indonesian archipelago. At that time, the dominant archipelago was the ancient Javanese people. When Sanskrit entered, it was followed by literature in India, so that in the archipelago, it was known that literature originated from India. During the reign of the kingdom of Kediri, whose king Darmawangsa Teguh Anantawikrama Tunggadewa, as king issued a policy, namely by discussing Indian literature in Sanskrit into Old Javanese, so that the syncritism process in Old Javanese literature was carried out by using Sanskrit into the text. Then gave birth to acculturation so that the language known as Kawi language emerged. The theory used to dissect this problem is the theory of linguistic landscape and uses the method of literature study and the method of reading and taking notes. The results of this study are related to the use of Kawi language in state institutions today, because it can be interpreted by history because at that time Hindu kingdoms dominated the archipelago more and could even expand outside the archipelago. The use of Kawi language in the motto of State institutions is a spirit of dedication to society and the State. In addition, the implementation of Kawi language in the slogan of this state institution shows that Kawi language still has an important, noble and main position in the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

After the second world war, the increase in the world's population was so rapid that it raised issues of environmental damage, food security, and increased crime cases. This causes some densely populated countries to limit the number of births. The birth of a child leaves a carbon footprint of up to 58.6 tons/year. This is what causes the Childfree movement to emerge as one of the solutions offered by modern humans in overcoming environmental issues. The driving factors include environmental awareness, to a consumptive lifestyle due to capitalist ideology. Hinduism in its teachings views that having children is a obligation for parents because children can be the glue of husband-wife relationships and having children who are suputra is the main Yajna. Intelligent children will be able to solve the problems they face, including environmental issues which became the initial basis for the Child free movement. So not having children is not the only solution to overcome environmental damage. The method used in this article uses a qualitative method and uses a phenomenological approach which is described descriptively. The data in this article was obtained through literature studies, both from articles published in journals, Hindu religious sacred texts combined with analysis of data obtained and sourced from the internet in the form of documents, news to videos that are shown on the YouTube platform.
