Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of Biosaka utilization on the increased income of rice farmers in Pulau Sarak Village. Biosaka is an innovative biotechnology-based product designed to enhance rice plant productivity. The research methodology involved field surveys, farmer interviews, and income data analysis. Data was collected before and after the implementation of Biosaka to compare changes in farmers' income. The findings of this research reveal that the utilization of Biosaka has yielded a positive impact on the income of rice farmers in Pulau Sarak Village. Rice plant productivity significantly increased following the use of Biosaka, ultimately leading to higher harvest yields. The larger harvest outputs have significantly contributed to the farmers' income. Income data analysis also indicates that farmers utilizing Biosaka experienced a higher increase in income compared to those not using the product. Furthermore, factors such as farmers' comprehension of Biosaka utilization, technical support provided, and environmental conditions also influence the effectiveness of Biosaka usage. This study provides critical insights for the development of innovative products in the agricultural sector and offers perspectives on how biotechnology can contribute to improving farmers' income. In conclusion, Biosaka utilization holds the potential to considerably enhance the income of rice farmers in Pulau Sarak Village. However, the successful implementation of this product also hinges on farmers' understanding, technical support, and environmental factors. The results of this research are expected to serve as a reference for agricultural development policies in similar regions and can motivate the development of similar products to support the well-being of farmers worldwide.

Abstract

The Integrated Community Service Program (KKN Terintegrasi Abdimas) in Menaming Village, Riau Province, is a student-driven initiative to harness the area's tourism potential. KKN represents a multidisciplinary approach to community service, aiming to benefit the local populace. The focal point of this endeavor is Menaming Dam, a crucial element in the daily lives of the villagers. Students successfully crafted a comprehensive plan, which involved constructing water turbines for a basic power source and implementing nighttime illumination. They also ran awareness campaigns promoting environmental hygiene and positioning Menaming Dam as a tourist hotspot. Consequently, Menaming Dam's allure as a tourist destination has notably surged. Qualitative research methods, including field surveys, observations, tourism poster creation, gate construction, and social media promotion, were employed. Results show that KKN Terintegrasi Abdimas has achieved resounding success, positively impacting Menaming Village. To fully capitalize on its considerable tourism potential, the local government should extend support. Government-sponsored training and facilities are anticipated to aid the village in tourism development, fostering local economic growth. Continual optimization of tourism potential and available natural resources is vital for a more advanced and modern future.

Abstract

Located in the Meranti Islands Regency of Riau Province, Alahair Village is a part of the Tebing Tinggi subdistrict. Alahair Village faces a number of data-related issues, such as data that isn't validated according to the field, unstructured data, and the need to find data quickly; requests from agencies at the sub-district, district, and provincial levels for data from the village; and the fact that when staff changes occur in the village, the data stored in the soft file is lost. Soil types, political boundaries, roads, irrigation zones, altitude, weather, and population can all be stored and managed with the help of spatial and non-spatial data. QGIS 3.22.4 is one such GIS-based program, and it can be used to make maps. Service to the community is accomplished through the following procedures: obtaining a statement of willingness to collaborate and partner; identifying village data needs; collecting village data; processing village data; creating thematic maps; discussing the results of thematic maps; holding workshops to discuss thematic map findings. Lecturers, students, and partners involved in mentoring in the field carry out this community service activity, producing a thematic map with generational, occupational, and educational classifications. Making a thematic map is the presentation of village data in the form of a map which contains village data which will later be easily accessed as a basis for information for the spatial needs of the village's sustainable development plan.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to discover the extent of students' interest in sports activities. Through questionnaires, the needs and improvements needed for these students' sports education may be seen. Lack of special attention within SDN 011 Sungai Baung and SDN 022 Titian Tinggi on the students' interest's guidance specifically on sports has motivated the initialization of this research with the purpose of optimizing non- academics potentials. This research will be conducted using quantitative and Joyful Learning methods where the samples are taken from the students of SDN 011 Sungai Baung and SDN 022 Titian Tinggi. Those students will be observed specifically within the scope of sports activities in order to see the correlation of academics' role in influencing the students' interest in sports. The results showed that the role of Riau University students was quite capable of increasing students’ interest in sports by 19%.
