Abstract

This systematic literature review explores the convergence of digital transformation and innovative business models in achieving a sustainable competitive advantage. As organizations increasingly adopt digital technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and the Internet of Things (IoT), they are transforming their operations and enhancing customer experiences. Simultaneously, there is a growing emphasis on integrating sustainability into business strategies, with a focus on economic, environmental, and social sustainability. This review highlights the critical role of business model innovation in leveraging digital tools to create value while addressing the environmental and social impacts of business activities. The findings underscore the importance of combining digital transformation with sustainable practices to drive long-term growth, improve operational efficiency, and meet evolving regulatory and consumer expectations. Ultimately, businesses that successfully integrate these two forces are better positioned to thrive in an increasingly competitive and eco-conscious market.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the relationship between Online Customer Experience (OCE) and TikTok Shop users' Customer Satisfaction (CS) and Repurchase Intention (RI), with CS serving as a mediating variable. As social media-based e-commerce has gained popularity, especially among Indonesia's youth, TikTok Shop has emerged as a prominent online marketplace. As part of a quantitative approach, a survey was completed by 100 respondents who had made purchases on TikTok Shop over the last six months. The data was examined using multiple linear regression and mediation tests using SPSS 26. The results show that OCE has a positive and substantial impact on CS. RI is also significantly impacted by CS. However, when CS is included as a mediating variable, the direct effect of OCE on RI is minimal, indicating that CS fully mediates the relationship between customer experience and repurchase intention. These findings highlight how important it is to offer a comprehensive and satisfying user experience in order to foster customer loyalty on digital platforms. This research recommends that TikTok Shop businesses focus their strategy on enhancing customer happiness and experience quality in order to retain consumers, given the growing competition in the e-commerce industry.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Single Index Model in forming an optimal stock portfolio using IDX80 index constituents from January 2021 to January 2025. Using a quantitative descriptive approach and purposive sampling, 42 consistently listed stocks were selected. Secondary data were sourced from the IDX, Yahoo Finance, and Bank Indonesia. Each stock’s return, beta, alpha, and residual variance were calculated, and stocks with Excess Return to Beta (ERB) values above the cut-off point (C*) were selected. The results identified seven optimal stocks: MAPI, ITMG, AKRA, MEDC, ADRO, BMRI, and BBNI. The resulting portfolio achieved an expected return of 1.82% with a low risk level of 0.11%, indicating investment efficiency. The findings demonstrate that the Single Index Model is a practical and effective tool for portfolio construction, especially for millennial and Gen Z investors seeking structured, data-based investment strategies amid digital market trends and shifting investor demographics.

Abstract

This study examines the levels of teaching motivation and job satisfaction among first-year school teachers in Indonesia, highlighting their implications for future career development training. Using a mixed-method design, the research gathered data from 400 primary school teachers across various provinces through structured questionnaires and open-ended responses. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and t-tests, while qualitative data underwent thematic analysis. Results indicate that both motivation (mean = 3.45) and job satisfaction (mean = 3.38) were at moderate to high levels. Professional commitment, confidence, and goal orientation emerged as the most influential motivational factors, whereas compensation and benefits received the lowest ratings. Significant differences were found across teacher demographics, particularly in terms of age, experience, and educational attainment. Qualitative findings highlighted the need for recognition, mentorship, and relief from administrative burdens. The study concludes that while intrinsic motivation remains strong, systemic barriers—especially inadequate compensation and bureaucratic workload—continue to suppress overall satisfaction. It recommends demographic-responsive career development programs focused on stress management, pedagogical advancement, and work-life balance to enhance teacher performance and retention.

Abstract

The present research focuses on examining, from the perspective of maqashid sharia, the role of e-money usage and Shopee Paylater on the impulse buying tendencies of FEBI UINSU students. A quantitative approach was employed, using purposive sampling to select 60 respondents. This study aims to examine how the use of e-money and Shopee PayLater influences impulse buying behavior among FEBI UINSU students, while also assessing its implications through the lens of maqashid sharia. Data information gathered through surveys was evaluated using multiple linear regression analysis. The study results show that both e-money and Shopee PayLater have a notable effect on students’ impulse buying tendencies. The result is the use of electronic money positively influences the impulsive buying behavior of FEBI UINSU students. The ease of transactions and attractive promotions offered by electronic money platforms encourage unplanned purchases. Similarly, the use of Shopee PayLater also shows a positive impact on impulsive buying, as its discount features and deferred payment options stimulate greater consumer spending. Furthermore, the combined use of e-money and Shopee PayLater significantly increases students’ tendency toward impulsive purchases. From the perspective of maqasid sharia, this behavior can be assessed through five dimensions: protection of property, intellect, life, lineage, and religion. Impulse buying, particularly when excessive, can result in waste and inefficient use of wealth, which contradicts the Islamic principle of prudent financial management. Moreover, such behavior often overlooks rational decision-making, which should form the basis of consumption choices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development strategy of home industries based on Islamic economics using the SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, and Results) analysis approach, with a case study on the rattan basket business in Kualuh Selatan District. The rattan basket home industry has significant economic potential due to its foundation in local wisdom and alignment with Islamic economic principles such as justice, blessing, and collective welfare. This research uses a qualitative method with data collected through literature reviews and direct interviews with local craftsmen. The findings indicate that the main strengths of the business lie in the availability of raw materials and the skills of the artisans, while opportunities include increasing market demand and government support. The result is this business relies on traditional skills and local raw materials, and makes a significant economic contribution to the surrounding community. However, various obstacles remain, such as limited capital, traditional equipment, and limited market access. Using the SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results) analysis approach, this study shows that internal strengths such as artisan skills and abundant raw materials can be combined with external opportunities such as government support and digital marketing. The aspiration to improve product quality, expand employment opportunities, and introduce modern technology are the main drivers for this business’s development.
