Abstract

The development of science and artificial intelligence (AI) has brought fundamental changes in the way humans learn, work, and interact. This transformation has not only impacted the technical aspects of education, but has also raised increasingly complex ethical, moral, and humanitarian issues. In this context, Islamic Religious Education (IRE) has a strategic role in guiding students to be able to deal with technological developments critically, ethically, and responsibly. This article aims to analyze the role and relevance of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum in responding to developments in science and artificial intelligence as part of contemporary global issues. This study uses the library research method by reviewing Islamic education literature, national curriculum policies, and relevant national journal research results. The results of the study show that the PAI curriculum needs to be developed contextually by integrating Islamic values, digital ethics, and critical awareness of technology. Islamic Religious Education is not positioned as a discipline that rejects science and AI, but rather as a foundation of values that guides the use of technology to remain on the side of humanity and benefit. Thus, Islamic Religious Education contributes significantly to the formation of digital ethics and moral responsibility of students in the era of artificial intelligence.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (PAUD) plays a crucial role in shaping children's basic character, particularly independence and responsibility as the foundation of their future personality. From an Islamic educational perspective, character formation is not merely theoretical but must be instilled through habits and role models from an early age. The Ra'in Hadith, which emphasizes that every individual is a leader and will be held accountable for their responsibilities, serves as a relevant normative foundation for strengthening children's character. However, the reality on the ground shows that some children aged 5-6 still rely on teachers to complete simple tasks, and character education has not been optimally integrated with Islamic values. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Ra'in Hadith interpretation methodology through a thematic and contextual approach to strengthening the character of independence and responsibility in 5-6 year old children. The study used a descriptive approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included the principal, group B teachers, and students at the Al-Muhajirin Early Childhood Education (PAUD) in Tempuran District. The study was conducted over eight weeks using a saturated sampling technique. The results showed that in the initial stages, children's independent and responsible character traits still needed strengthening. Children tended to rely on teachers, were less consistent in following rules, and had not yet demonstrated a full awareness of their responsibilities. After implementing the thematic and contextual interpretation of the Ra'in hadith methodology, positive changes occurred in children's behavior. Children began to be able to complete tasks independently, tidy up play equipment, and demonstrate concern for the classroom environment through habits linked to the value of trust. The study's conclusions confirm that integrating the values of the Ra'in hadith through a thematic and contextual approach, accompanied by teacher role models and consistent habits, is effective in strengthening the independent and responsible character traits of early childhood children in PAUD institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the concept of early childhood innate nature from an Islamic educational perspective and explain how innate nature can serve as a foundation for developing learning in early childhood education institutions. The study employed a literature review method, reviewing Islamic education books, works by classical and contemporary scholars, and relevant journal articles. Content analysis was conducted to identify the concepts, patterns, and implications of innate nature-based education. The results indicate that innate nature encompasses children's fundamental potentials, such as faith, reason, morality, play, and learning abilities, all of which require developmentally appropriate stimulation. Early childhood education that aligns with innate nature results in holistic child development, encompassing spiritual, cognitive, socio-emotional, and moral aspects. However, practice still demonstrates the dominance of early childhood academic learning that pays little attention to children's natural potential. This study emphasizes the importance of curriculum development, learning methods, and the role of early childhood teachers, who serve as educators in maintaining and developing innate nature. The conclusion of this study is that innate nature-based education is considered relevant for building children's character and intelligence in a balanced manner within the framework of Islamic values.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (PAUD) is an important foundation in shaping children's character and behavior. This study aims to analyze strategies for strengthening the 5S habit in early childhood through the application of modeling techniques (exemplary behavior) as a concrete form of implementing the Amar Ma'ruf value (encouraging goodness) in the AL-MUAWAROH Tanjung Mekar Tanjung Pura PAUD environment. Early childhood is in a golden age where they are highly susceptible to imitation, making modeling techniques by teachers and adults the most effective method for instilling moral values. The 5S habit, which is an essential part of social ethics and a symbol of peace, plays a role in developing friendly, socially sensitive characters and creating a harmonious and conducive environment. The method used was qualitative, with case studies through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study results show that teachers' consistent and sincere model of the 5S, combined with positive reinforcement, can foster a friendly and socially aware character in children. This success aligns with the essence of the teachings of Amar Ma'ruf (Committing Good and Ethical Conduct) and creates an Islamic, friendly, and compassionate environment. Instilling character values in early childhood at AL-MUNAWAROH is a fundamental aspect in shaping human personality. The 5S culture (Smile, Greet, Greet, Polite, and Courteous) serves as a strategic approach in developing the social, moral, and religious character of early childhood. This article aims to analyze the implementation of the 5S culture in early childhood education at AL-MUNAQAROH, integrated with the concept of amar ma'ruf nahi munkar (enjoining good and forbidding evil) through the role models of educators. The research method used a literature review with a descriptive-analytical approach. The study results indicate that consistent implementation of the 5S culture can create a positive learning environment, enhance children's social-emotional development, and instill Islamic values aligned with the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

The background of this study is based on the rapid development of technology and information, and students having a strong moral foundation. Islamic Religious Education (IRE) packaged through educational entertainment such as Islamic animated series is considered capable of attracting students' interest and instilling moral values in a fun way. This study aims to determine the use of Islamic animation content, the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI), and the relationship between the two in PAI subjects at SD Negeri 004 Balikpapan Barat.  This study is based on Arsyad's theory, which states that audiovisual media such as animation can increase students' attention and understanding of learning. This is supported by Piaget's theory of child development, which states that elementary school students find it easier to understand information through visuals and concrete stories. Meanwhile, according to Zakiah Daradjat in Ashari et al., Islamic Religious Education is a planned process to shape pious individuals who are able to practice Islamic teachings in their daily lives. The research method used was quantitative with data collection through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The research population consisted of 77 students with a sample of 40 respondents selected using simple random sampling. Data analysis was performed using the Spearman Rank Correlation formula with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics Version 27. The results of the study showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.001 < 0.01, a calculated r value of 0.506 > r table (0.312), which means that there is a positive relationship with a moderate correlation between the use of Islamic animation content and the implementation of PAI. Thus, H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between Islamic animation content and Islamic Religious Education for students at SD Negeri 004 Balikpapan Barat. The use of Islamic animation content has a positive impact on improving the quality of learning, religious attitudes, and student interest in learning, although its effectiveness still needs to be optimized in terms of cognitive, psychomotor, and activity in religious activities.

Through direct education, providing examples, and getting used to worship from an early age, the family becomes the main environment for instilling Islamic values. The role of parents as examples of positive behavior and involvement in religious activities has a significant influence.
