Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of contextual material development in Aqidah Akhlak learning at MTs Baiturrahmah as an effort to improve students’ learning motivation. The background of this research lies in the low motivation and lack of active participation among students in Aqidah Akhlak classes, which negatively impacts discipline and academic achievement. This research employs a qualitative approach using descriptive methods, with data collection techniques including direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of the ongoing learning process. The results indicate that the development of teaching materials directly connected to students’ real-life contexts effectively enhances understanding of religious values, fosters empathy, and increases student engagement and learning enthusiasm. The use of the sociodrama-based learning method also contributes to creating an interactive, enjoyable, and meaningful classroom atmosphere. However, limited classroom time is a major constraint that hinders the comprehensive implementation of this method. Therefore, this study recommends adjusting the allocation of learning time and strengthening contextual learning strategies to improve the overall effectiveness and quality of Aqidah Akhlak instruction in a more holistic and sustainable manner.

Abstract

The educational messages given to Luqman by Allah are immortalized in the Quran as a lesson for future Muslims, because fundamentally, monotheism education is one formula to protect students from committing corruption and injustice on earth. The pedagogical element in Surah Luqman, verses 12-19, concerning monotheism education, can be measured by examining the foundation of monotheism education in the Quran, Surah Luqman, verses 12-19. Likewise, it is measured by the objectives of monotheism education, which aim to achieve balanced growth in the total human personality through training the spirit, rational intellect, and feelings and bodily sensitivity. This is placed in the realization of perfect submission to Allah, both individually, in communities, and throughout humanity, and fosters balance in the human personality, not only intellectually but also emotionally and spiritually.

Abstract

Social-emotional intelligence development is a fundamental aspect of early childhood growth that influences their ability to interact, manage emotions, and adapt to social environments. During the golden age period, particularly in the 4-6 years age range, children experience a critical phase in forming social-emotional skills that become the foundation for personality development in the future. The digital era brings new challenges to children's social-emotional development, particularly regarding the impact of excessive screen time that can hinder social interaction and emotional regulation abilities. This study aims to analyze strategies for strengthening social-emotional intelligence of early childhood in the digital era at TK Pembina Tanjung Batu. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with research subjects consisting of 16 children in group B (aged 5-6 years), 3 classroom teachers, and the school principal. Data collection techniques include participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing stages. Research results show that 82.1% of children achieve social-emotional intelligence development in the categories of very well developed and developed as expected. The strategies implemented include collaborative project-based learning, use of educational digital media such as cartoons about patience and self-control, strengthening direct social interaction activities, and parental involvement through digital literacy parenting programs. The aspects of social interaction ability, cooperation, and verbal communication show the highest achievement (87.5%), while emotional regulation and sharing ability require special attention (75%). This research recommends developing a digital era-responsive curriculum, strengthening parenting education programs, and optimal balance between technology-based learning and direct social interaction to optimize social-emotional intelligence development in early childhood.

Abstract

Al-Farabi was a Muslim philosopher who systematically laid the foundation of the basic Islamic philosophy in detail and easy to understand for later generations. His philosophical thoughts were influenced by the Greek philosophy. According to him, the world occurs because the first entity (Allah) was abundant in stages called emanation. Philosophers acquired the truth by using the power of reasoning, while the prophets acquired it through God revelation to humans He chose. His thought in politics such as a major state resembles Plato's concept of ideal state. The leader is the first actor who brings citizen to happiness just like the function of the heart in a body with other organs acting as assistants to achieve the desired happiness.

Abstract

This study examines parental responsibilities in early childhood education from the perspective of QS. At-Tahrim Verse 6 and the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and their implementation at Bunda Karawang Preschool. Parents are positioned as the primary educators responsible for fostering morals and child development from an early age. QS. At-Tahrim Verse 6 emphasizes the obligation of parents to protect themselves and their families from misguidance through proper education, while the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) reinforces the concept of parental leadership, which carries the trust of their families. These values serve as an important foundation for the implementation of early childhood education oriented towards character and spirituality formation. This study uses a qualitative approach in the form of mini-research through in-depth interviews, light observation, and documentation review. The research focused on patterns of parental involvement in children's religious education, forms of collaboration between home and school, and teacher strategies in internalizing Islamic values through habituation activities at Bunda Karawang Early Childhood Education (PAUD). Data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion-drawing techniques to obtain a comprehensive picture of educational practices based on the teachings of the Quran and Hadith. The results indicate that parents have a normative awareness of the importance of spiritual responsibility for their children's education, but their implementation remains varied and inconsistent within the home environment. Bunda Karawang PAUD strives to strengthen this through religious habituation, such as daily prayer, simple etiquette, and Islamic social behavior. The main challenges lie in parents' limited time, differences in religious understanding, and a lack of continuity between home and school. This research emphasizes the need for ongoing synergy between parents and PAUD institutions to ensure the effective implementation of the values of QS At-Tahrim verse 6 and the Hadith in developing early childhood character. These findings contribute to strengthening the Islamic values-based family education model as the basis for care and learning in early childhood.

Abstract

Early childhood education is the primary foundation for developing children's character and morals. In Islam, the Prophet Muhammad is the primary role model for implementing educational methods that are humanistic, holistic, and in accordance with the natural development of children. This article aims to examine the Prophet Muhammad's educational methods according to the hadith described in Ibn Kathir's Tafsir and analyze their application in early childhood education at TAAM Mandiri Cikampek. This research used a qualitative approach with a field study. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews with educators, and documentation of learning activities. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the Prophet Muhammad's educational methods, as derived from the hadith in Ibn Kathir's Tafsir, include exemplary behavior (uswah hasanah), habituation, advice (mau'izhah), dialogue, and education based on compassion and gentleness. These methods are relevant to the characteristics of early childhood and align with the principles of child development. The application of the Prophet Muhammad's educational methods at TAAM Mandiri Cikampek is evident in activities that foster worship, instill noble moral values, use polite language, teachers' role models in daily behavior, and an educational approach that emphasizes compassion without violence. The implementation of these methods has a positive impact on children's moral, socio-emotional, and spiritual development. The conclusion of this study indicates that the Prophet Muhammad's educational methods, according to the hadith in Tafsir Ibn Kathir, are highly relevant and applicable for implementation in early childhood education institutions. Therefore, integrating the Prophet Muhammad's educational methods into learning practices at TAAM can serve as an effective Islamic educational model for shaping children's character from an early age.
