Abstract

The history of Islamic education in Indonesia has undergone significant development along with the evolution of the national education system. The first Islamic education in Indonesia usually took place in Islamic boarding schools, which are traditional Islamic schools that focus on teaching the Quran and hadith. These pesantrens became the center for the development and spread of Islam in various parts of Indonesia. After Indonesia's independence in 1945, the Indonesian government committed to creating a national education system that covered all aspects of life. This included Islamic education, which is recognized as one of the majority religions in Indonesia. The government integrated Islamic education into the national education system by giving recognition and support to madrasahs (Islamic schools) as well as developing a curriculum that included aspects of Islam. Renewal in Islamic education thought and religious moderation have become an integral part of Islamic education in Indonesia. This effort aims to ensure that Islamic education not only fulfills religious needs, but also contributes to the formation of citizens who hold moderate views, are tolerant, and open to various religious views. This research uses the historical study method to examine the history of Islamic education in Indonesia. The researcher conducted a historical study of various sources, such as books, journals, educational reports, and documentation.

Abstract

This research provides a comprehensive examination of various leadership styles and their impact on organizational success. The study delves into the characteristics and effects of transformational, transactional, autocratic, democratic, authentic, spiritual, knowledge-oriented, and leadership commitment styles on key organizational outcomes such as employee satisfaction, innovation, and financial performance. Transformational leadership is highlighted for its ability to inspire and engage employees, fostering an environment conducive to innovation and adaptability. Transactional leadership, while effective in stable and predictable environments, shows limitations in dynamic settings requiring creativity. Autocratic leadership, often associated with diminished employee morale, contrasts with democratic leadership, which promotes employee participation and satisfaction. Authentic leadership emerges as a significant contributor to a positive organizational climate, emphasizing ethical behavior and trust. Spiritual leadership is recognized for aligning personal and organizational values, enhancing job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Knowledge-oriented leadership is identified as crucial in technology-driven sectors for fostering innovation and managing complex information flows. Leadership commitment is emphasized for its role in driving organizational change and performance. The study concludes that effective leadership requires adaptability and contextual awareness, with no single style being universally effective. The findings suggest that a blend of leadership styles, tailored to specific organizational contexts, can lead to enhanced organizational performance and success. This research contributes to the field of organizational behavior by providing insights into the effective application of diverse leadership styles in varying organizational contexts.

Abstract

This research aims to find a philosophical basis for the ideal position of kiai in practical political constellations. This study is a qualitative research with a literature study design and descriptive method focusing on finding the ideal concept of kiai in politics based on its reality dimensions. The research results show that kiai and politics in Islam are two things that are synergistic, kiai is a prototypical representation of the Prophet's heirs who appear as an active agent of social change, and the kiai's ideality in politics ultimately returns to the kiai's own consistency. In politics which is filled with intrigue and conflict, political leaders must be able to minimize conflict and act as problem solvers. If not, then religious positions can become instruments of power. Kiai must be able to realize his sociological role as agent of change consistently because politics is not just a tool of power but the science of how to build universal benefit.

Abstract

This study looks at the challenges and benefits of interreligious and interfaith marriages. It looks at how different beliefs, values, and practices affect personal relationships and the way a family works. Using a qualitative research approach, we conducted in-depth investigations and research on interreligious and interfaith marriages to gain insight into the various measurements in different countries and religions. Interfaith marriage is prohibited in many religions, but in the present it is normal. Especially in Christianity, interfaith marriage is popular at differing ages, like before 25, 26–35, and 36–45, with a percentage of 48, 58, and 67. Our findings suggest that while these marriages can be challenging, they also offer opportunities for personal growth, greater understanding of different religious traditions, and the promotion of interfaith dialogue and cooperation.

Abstract

The main problem examined in this research is how the function of inland shipping is to support the economic activities of the people of South Kalimantan in 1950-1970 The results of the research show that the river network has become the economic lifeblood of the population where most of their economic activities are carried out through and on rivers due to shipping activities. Rivers cannot be separated from their role as trade routes. River shipping has an important role in transporting trade goods. Agricultural products and forest products are one of the main commodities transported via river shipping. As a means of traffic, rivers play a role in opening up the isolation of inland areas that cannot be passed by land. The method used in this research uses the historical method through the Heuristic stage (data collection), internal and external criticism of the data obtained, interpretation and historiography of historical writing based on the data that has been obtained according to the researcher's objectives. The novelty of this research is that previous research only revealed the phenomenon of river shipping broadly, then this research focuses on the economic sector. It can be concluded that with the times and the rapid development of technology, the transportation sector has developed. The widespread development of land transportation facilities by creating land roads and bridges to connect between regions can shorten distances and travel times. However, it even has an impact on the economic sector through water transportation routes.

Abstract

Radicalization, which is influenced by social, cognitive, and economic variables, is the mental process that justifies violence or violent behavior. Since the invention of the Internet radical organizations have modified their tactics in order to fit the new environment. The Internet has evolved into more than simply a platform for extremist activity; it has also taken the place of the main operating environment and arena where political beliefs are developed, assaults are planned, and exceptional social movements start to take shape. Members of the group meet up online to discuss their religious beliefs and utilize these forums to broaden the scope of action at the individual and organizational levels in order to disseminate their political ideology, hire employees, and organize assaults. The conceptual framework, individual and group dynamic reasons of radicalization, metaphors for describing radicalization, radicalization driven by religion, internet radicalization, and case studies are highlighted in the current study.
