Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out whether or not the use of social media by youth decreases social interaction with friends. This study used a quantitative method using a simple random sampling technique to take the sample. The subjects of this study were Business English Communication students from batches 2019, 2020, and 2021. This study has two variables, namely social media (X) and interaction with friends (Y). A questionnaire was used as the method for collecting data for this study. Two types of questionnaires: open-ended and closed-ended questionnaires, were used as the instruments and data collection techniques. Data analysis employed the normality test, linearity test, and t-test for testing hypotheses. Based on the questionnaire results, data analysis was conducted, and the results for the two variables ell into the high category. The t-test results showed that when the value of t-count exceeds t-table (7.722> 2.002), H0 is rejected. Thus, it can be said that the findings are consistent with the Alternative Hypothesis, which contends that youth use of social media decreases friend interaction.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative correlational study with pilot design that aims to comprehend correlation between teamwork and employee’s productivity. One of essential things in interpersonal skills at work is Teamwork. Teamwork is a process which gather individuals, ideas, and skills to reach goals. If teamwork is not valued in a workplace, people will frequently work on erroneous tasks and goals, leaving them incomplete. It is essential to cooperate with other co-workers in order to maximize productivity. Employees that are more productive provide several benefits to companies. As a result, increasing employee productivity is crucial. The population in this study is 250 employees, using quota sampling. The correlation design research and the spearman coefficient used in this study to see if there is a relationship between teamwork and employee productivity. This study shows there is relation between teamwork and employee’s productivity at moderate level, 0,592. The data calculated using a statistic application.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas permasalahan tiga komunitas masyarakat Katolik Indonesia yang hidup dan terlibat di pendidikan tinggi. Ketiganya adalah lembaga pendidikan tinggi Katolik, dosen dan juga mahasiswa Katolik. Pembahasan diarahkan pada terdapatnya permasalahan khas dari masing-masing komunitas tersebut dan perlunya Gereja memiliki strategi komprehensif sehingga potensi komunitas Katolik di pendidikan tinggi tersebut dapat teraktualisasi menjadi nyata.

Abstract

This research was conducted using the Participation Action Reseach (PAR) methode, the data obtained is primary data in the form of interviews with the owner. The results and discussion of this study are the application of the Accounting Recording System in MSMEs still uses a manual system which result in incomplete and inaccurate financial report result. In the research, the creation and implementation of an accounting recording system based on Microsoft Excel was carried out. This system shows that the process of recording accounting becomes easier, this is useful so that later business owners get better and more acuurate financial information. It is also useful for managing funds, evaluating business performance, and making decisions in the future.

Abstract

Persoalan pokok dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana peranan doa dalam pembentukan karakter Para Suster Kongregasi ADM di Komunitas Kota Baru Yogyakarta. Tujuan yang hendak dicapai adalah untuk mengkaji peranan doa dalam pembentukan karakter para suster ADM di Komunitas Kota Baru Yogyakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah para suster kongregasi ADM di Komunitas Kota Baru Yogyakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik pengamatan, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa doa berperan penting dalam pembentukan karakter para suster ADM di Komunitas Kota Baru Yogyakarta. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa doa membentuk kepribadian yang rendah hati, doa membentuk kematangan emosional, doa membentuk kematangan sosial, doa membentuk sikap tanggung jawab, doa membentuk karakter setia, dan doa membentuk karakter yang bermoral. Dengan demikian, bertitik tolak dari hasil pembahasan, maka secara garis besar menunjukkan bahwa doa merupakan kegiatan harian yang berdaya guna dalam upaya membentuk karakter para suster kongregasi ADM di Komunitas Kota Baru Yogyakarta.

Abstract

This type of research is case study research. The data used in this study are primary data. The population is high school students in Lampung province. The sampling technique uses probability sampling techniques, namely Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling using the Slovin formula. Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling is a sampling technique when a population has heterogeneous members or elements and is proportionally stratified. Therefore, the sampling to be taken is high school / vocational students grade 1, 2, and 3 in this study. Furthermore, the measurement of variables in the study used the Semantic Differential Scale with factors of interest, motivation, parental background, expected work, and learning environment as variables.

Abstract

Abstrack. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh nilai harga, kualitas produk, dan brand image terhadap customer experiances pada online marketplace pada masa covid-19. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 146 orang yang berdomisili di Jabodetabek menggunakan aplikasi marketplace yang dipilih menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kuantitatif. Data diuji menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa nilai harga, kualitas produk, dan brand image berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap customer experiances pada online marketplace.

Abstract

Social media engagement (SME) is an individual's activity of viewing content, liking, sharing, and commenting which can increase individual involvement with content on social media. The high SME experienced by individuals can increase impulse buying (IB) decisions, purchase without thinking and based on pleasure with the product. This research uses a quantitative study to explain the effect of Tiktok's social media engagement on impulse buying of online clothing content in early adults. Participants obtained in this study were 131 early adult samples. The results of simple linear regression analysis can be seen that SME positively and significantly affects IB (F = 41.941, p = 0.000 <0.05) with a contribution of 24.8%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh intensitas penggunaan TikTok terhadap self-esteem dewasa awal di Indonesia. Penelitian ini diikuti oleh 123 pengguna TikTok berusia antara 18 sampai 25 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode cross-sectional predictive correlational untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian. Terdapat dua alat ukur yang digunakan, yaitu: (a) The Facebook Intensity Scale yang diadaptasikan dalam konteks penggunaan TikTok, dan (b) Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. Hasil dari analisis regresi linear menunjukkan bahwa intensitas penggunaan TikTok secara signifikan meningkatkan self-esteem dewasa awal. Implikasi dari temuan penelitian didiskusikan dalam tulisan.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the social status of Singaporean English, within the framework of Singapore’s multilingual societies. The context of World Englishes, especially the model crafted by Kachru, underlined the dynamic evolution of the language. This descriptive qualitative study explores empirically and theoretically the topic based on the secondary sources. The involvement of a related-literature review from previous researchers and experts, written in some journal articles and scientific books, has been considered. The result of the study demonstrates that the indigenization’s process of Singaporean English is linked to the roles and functions of the language in multilingual, multiethnic and multicultural contexts. Next, the management of multilingualism is achieved by the recognition of ethnic and linguistic diversity. Lastly, Singapore has been successful in language policy which equates ethnic identity and political role with one of four official languages.
