Jurnal Banua Oge Tadulako (JBOT) is a national recognized journal in the field of education. It is published twice a year (May dan November). The aim of this journal is to publish high quality studies in the areas of instruction, learning, teaching, curriculum development, learning environments, teacher education, educational technology, and educational developments. Studies may relate to any level of education, from high school to higher education. The studies can be the results of field research and literature review. JBOT, being a national accredited journal, our editorial advisory board members are from various countries around the world. The manuscripts sent to the Journal are always reviewed by two members of the Editorial Board (double blind peer review), and in some cases, if necessary, by another member of the Board. Depending on the evaluation reports of the members of the Editorial Board, articles are published or not. Manuscript evaluation process takes approximately three months. The authors are responsible for the errors, if any, in their published articles. The articles need to be not published elsewhere previously.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament disertai Joyful Learning terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa kelas X SMAN 5 Palu. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen kuasi dengan desain the non-equivalent control group design. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes hasil belajar fisika dalam bentuk pilihan ganda yang telah di uji coba. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data, untuk kelas eksperimen diperoleh rerata skor tes akhir adalah 13,63 dengan nilai ketuntasan klasikal 54,52 % dengan standar deviasi yaitu 3,17. Untuk kelas kontrol diperoleh rerata skor tes akhir adalah 8,23 dengan nilai ketuntasan klasikal 32,92 % dengan standar deviasi 2,91. Dari hasil analisa data tes akhir yang ada diperoleh nilai ttabel 1,67 sedangkan nilai thitung 7,43. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa thitung berada didalam daerah penolakan H0. Dengan demikian H0 ditolak dan H1 di terima. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol pada taraf nyata berbeda secara signifikan dengan kelompok siswa yang mendapatkan model Direct Instruction. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament disertai Joyful Learning terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa kelas X SMAN 5 Palu.

Abstract

Lack of student learning motivation results in students being less able to understand basic science concepts, so the quality of science education tends to be low. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the guided inquiry learning model on critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes in the experimental and control groups. The sample in this study consisted of 50 students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical approach, N-Gain, and simple linear regression. The results showed that based on the data management hypothesis, it was obtained that there was an influence of the guided inquiry learning model on students' critical thinking skills. In addition, the N-Gain results show that as many as 24 students from the experimental class have increased critical thinking skills in the high category, while in the control class, only 10 students have increased critical thinking skills in the high category. The experimental class students' science learning outcomes showed that 20 students were in the high category and only 12 students from the control class were in the high category. So it can be concluded that guided inquiry in the field of science studies affects critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes for fifth grade students of UPTD SD Negeri 18 Barru, Barru Regency.

Abstract

Tri Ulandari, 2020. "Identification of student misconceptions during the Covid-19 pandemic using a three-tier diagnostic test on material for class XI at SMA Negeri 3 Poso in Poso district". Thesis, Chemistry Education Study Program, Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University, Supervisor: Minarni Rama Jura. this study aims to determine the level of misconceptions in class XI students of SMA Negeri 3 Poso using a quantitative descriptive approach to the buffer solution material during the covid-19 pandemic. The subject of this research consisted of 36 students. The sampling technique was simple random sampling. The research instrument used was a three-tier multiple choice diagnostic test (Three-tier) with a total of 10 questions. Based on the results of research and data analysis showed that the percentage of understanding concepts as much as 23.33%, students' misconceptions as much as 42.78%, and not understanding concepts as much as 33.89%. Based on the results of the percentage of students who experienced misconceptions (False Positive) as many as 11.39%, misconceptions (False Negative) as many as 11.11%, misconceptions as much as 20.28%. Misconceptions still occur in each indicator in the buffer solution material, where the highest misconception is in item number 8 with an indicator for determining the characteristics of a buffer solution in an acid or alkaline state with a percentage of 50%, item numbers 9 and 10 with an indicator explaining how to make a solution. buffer with each percentage of 47.22%. The lack of students' understanding of the buffer solution material is the main factor causing misconceptions, coupled with the pandemic situation which requires students to study more independently, causing limited communication between teachers and students. Thus, the results in the category of misconceptions of SMA Negeri 3 Poso students are in the medium category. The results of this study are expected to be a source of information as well as a motivation and reference for teachers and students to be able to understand chemistry better so as to minimize the occurrence of misconceptions in students.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to analyze, describe, and explain the implementation of songs in EFL classes of vocabulary mastery by previous researchers. This study was conducted descriptively through Library Research Method. The secondary sources analyzed, described, and explained in this study were taken from the scientific writing published from 2010 to 2019 from kindergarten to university levels. The sources consisted of ten previous studies, eight skripsis and two articles. The results of descriptive data analysis show that the implementation of songs by previous researchers was done through integrating vocabulary learning with the song lyrics by using some procedures tha (1) explain the words/topic (noun, verb, or adjective); (2) provide song lyrics to the EFL students (as groups or individuals); (3) play songs for at least two times; (4) asks the EFL students to identify the vocabulary or expressions they find in the song lyrics provided; (5) discusses the songs he/she plays with the EFL students and asks the EFL students about their opinion regarding songs they listen to; (6) asks one EFL student to write the answer on the whiteboard; (7) If the answer is correct, the teacher will give feedback to the EFL students by complementing those who have correct answers and; (8) If the answer is incorrect, the teacher will explain the correct answer to the EFL students and its reasons. All the secondary data sources imply that the implementation of songs provides clear examples for the EFL students and reduces their stress during their vocabulary mastery experience. In conclusion, the implementation of songs is appropriate for the EFL students from kindergarten to high school levels. Then, the implications of implementing songs are to make the EFL students more stimulated to learn vocabulary in EFL classes and songs stimulate the EFL students to reduce their stress level during the class

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of student learning outcomes in class XI Science 3 as the experimental class using the Problem Based Learning model and XI Science 4 as the control using the Direct Instruction learning model on the buffer solution material at SMAN 5 Model Palu. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research with a non-randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The population was student of class at XI Science 3 and at XI Science 4 at SMAN 5 Model Palu. The sampling technique used is pourposive sampling, which is one of the non-random sampling technique where the researcher determines the sampling by determining the special characteristics that are in accordance with the research objectives. The sample in this study was 26 students in the experimental class and 26 students in the control class. Testing the research data using a one-party t-test statistical analysis with prerequisite tests, namely normality, and homogeneity tests. The results of data analysis obtained in the experimental class the value of X̅1 is 75.23 with a standard deviation = 11.58 while in the control class the value of X̅2 is 68.88 with a tandard deviation = 11.07. The result of hypothesis test was tcount ≥ ttable whis is 2.08 ≥ 1.67 with a significant level (α) of 0.05 and degrees of freedom of 50. This means that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. So the study concludes that the Problem Based learning model has a better effect than the Direct Instruction learning model toward students learning outcomes in Buffer Solution.

Abstract

This study was conducted to describe the increase in student learning outcomes after the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model in Class X Compound Nomenclature at SMA Negeri 1 Bahodopi. This type of research is a Pre-Experimen research with one group Pre-test and Post-test design. The population in this study were all students of class X MIA at SMA Negeri 1 Bahodopi which consisted of three classes, namely class X MIA 1, MIA 2, and X MIA 3 with a total of 91 students. The sample in this study were 30 students of class X MIA 3 as Experiment class 1 and students of class X MIA 1 as many as 30 people as experiment class 2. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The instrument of this research is a test of learning outcomes. In the replication class 1, the student's learning outcomes were 75.83, while the replication class 2 was 76.83. The research data obtained from the two classes were analyzed using the N-Gain test, which was used to determine the increase in student learning outcomes. The data from the N-Gain test was obtained in the replication class 1 which was an average of 0.62 and the replication class 2 was an average of 0.63. The results of the data from the N-Gain test obtained that g = value 0.30 (<g>) <0.70 was in the medium category, which indicated that there was a change in student learning outcomes after the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengelolaan kelas dengan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri 2 Kalukubula. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah korelasi (Correlational Studies) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 25 responden yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik Quota Sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas V SD Negeri 2 Kalukubula. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Analisis data manggunakan bantuan program SPSS 24 terdiri dari uji validasi. Uji normalitas dan uji korelasi digunakan untuk mmenguji hipotesis penelitian dengan bantuan SPSS 24. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara pengelolaan kelas dengan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri 2 Kalukubula. Hal ini terlihat dari perolehan nilai koefisien korelasi dengan nilai sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,831> 0,05 maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa Ho diteima dan Ha ditolak yang berarti tidak terdapat hubungan pengelolaan kelas dengan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri 2Kalukubula.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship of student learning creativity with the learning outcomes of SBdP Class IV SD GPID Palu. The hypothesis tested in this study is "There is a Relationship of Siawa Learning Creativity with SBdP Learning Outcomes Grade IV SD GPID Palu". The subjects taken are class IV as many as 30 students to collect data, used instruments in the form of questionnaires given to grade IV students and see the results of raport grades. Furthermore, the collected data is processed and analyzed using the technique of percentage and correlation of product moment at the level of 95% confidence. The results of this study showed that 25 students or 83.33% of students think learning creativity is very high, 5 students or 16.66% of students think learning creativity is relatively high, and there are no students or 0% of students who think learning creativity is classified as moderate, low or very low. As for student learning outcomes there are 30 students or 100% of students who have very high learning outcomes, and there are no students or 0% of students who have high, medium, low and very low learning outcomes. From the results of inferential analysis testing using the correlation formula at the level of 95% confidence obtained rh (r count) = 0.723 consulted with table r obtained 0.361, thus rh (r count) > rt (r table) or 0.723 > 0.361. Hence the consequences Ho was rejected. Thus there is a relationship of student learning creativity with the learning outcomes of SBdP Class IV SD GPID Palu.
