Abstract

Aerobic gymnastics in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) has the potential to improve physical fitness, enthusiasm for learning, and student participation. These obstacles include limited time during PJOK hours, inadequate facilities and space, students' lack of self-confidence, lack of motivation, and teachers' limited ability to provide interesting learning variations. This study aims to determine students' perceptions and identify obstacles regarding the implementation of aerobic gymnastics as part of PJOK learning in Banda Aceh schools. This type of research uses a survey method with a questionnaire instrument, the number of respondents is 100 students from several schools in Banda Aceh using the Stratified Random Sampling technique. Descriptive statistical analysis to describe students' perceptions and obstacles towards the implementation of aerobic gymnastics in PJOK learning. The results of the study students have a positive view of the benefits of aerobic gymnastics, especially in the aspects of health and fitness, increased concentration, and a pleasant learning environment. However, the most frequently experienced challenges are limited time for PJOK lessons, inadequate facilities and space, and students' shyness or low motivation, especially when having to perform movements with complicated choreography or when performing in front of friends. that positive views are significantly related to motivation and frequency of participation in aerobic gymnastics

Abstract

Baitul Arqam is an ideological cadre-building and character development program for students that serves as a distinctive feature of the cadre education system. One of the learning methods applied in the Baitul Arqam curriculum is the outbound clinic, which emphasizes experiential learning. This study aims to analyze participants’ satisfaction levels with the implementation of the outbound clinic as part of the Baitul Arqam curriculum for university students. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a survey method. The research subjects were students participating in the Baitul Arqam program who attended the outbound clinic activities. The research instrument was a satisfaction questionnaire covering aspects of learning materials, facilitators, methods, facilities and infrastructure, and perceived benefits of the activity. The results indicate that, in general, participants’ satisfaction levels were in the high category, suggesting that the outbound clinic is effective as part of the Baitul Arqam curriculum in fostering character development, teamwork, leadership, and Islamic values among students. These findings recommend strengthening and further developing the outbound clinic as a contextual learning strategy within the Baitul Arqam curriculum.

Abstract

Physical education in elementary schools plays a crucial role in developing healthy lifestyle habits and improving children's physical fitness. The Senam Indonesia Hebat (Great Indonesian Gymnastics) program is a structured physical activity innovation that can be integrated into physical education (PJOK) learning to improve motor skills, physical activity, and reduce students' sedentary behavior. This study used a quasi-experimental design with two groups: an experimental group that participated in an eight-week gymnastics program and a control group that continued with conventional PJOK learning. The sample consisted of 60 fourth-sixth grade elementary school students. Data were collected through physical fitness tests, physical activity questionnaires, and observations of sedentary behavior, then analyzed using descriptive analysis and t-tests. The results showed a significant increase in the experimental group compared to the control group, both in muscle strength (24.7 ± 3.5 vs. 20.1 ± 3.2), endurance (17.6 ± 3.1 vs. 14.0 ± 2.8), agility (18.4 ± 2.9 vs. 15.2 ± 2.6), balance (14.9 ± 2.4 vs. 12.0 ± 2.1), duration of physical activity (78 ± 12 minutes/day vs. 55 ± 10 minutes/day), and reduction in sedentary behavior (145 ± 15 minutes/day vs. 195 ± 16 minutes/day). The results of this study prove that the integration of Senam Indonesia Hebat into PJOK learning is effective in improving physical fitness and can encourage physical activity in elementary school students.
