Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of coping strategies on psychological distress in late adolescents after a breakup. Breakups are one of the events that can cause psychological distress in late adolescents. This condition can trigger various emotional responses such as stress, anxiety, and depression, which are reflected in psychological distress. One factor suspected of playing a role in this condition is coping strategies, which are efforts made by individuals to face and manage the stress experienced. This study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive research type. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method. The study subjects were 100 women aged 18–21 years who resided in Bekasi City and had experienced a breakup in the past six months. Data collection was conducted using the Brief COPE scale to measure coping strategies and the DASS-21 scale to measure psychological distress. The results showed that coping strategies had a significant effect on psychological distress. Furthermore, a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.132 was obtained, indicating that coping strategies contributed 13.2% to psychological distress, while the remaining 86.8% was influenced by factors outside the study. Therefore, the hypothesis that coping strategies influence psychological distress in late adolescent girls after a breakup is accepted.

Abstract

This study examines how cyber security is constructed as a security threat (securitized) within policy discourse in Indonesia, and how the tension between state security and individual (human) security manifests in that construction. Grounded in the Copenhagen School of Securitization Theory and the human security paradigm, the article addresses a normative question that the dominant, state-centric literature has largely left unanswered: whose security is the state actually protecting in cyberspace? The research adopts a qualitative interpretive design, employing document analysis and a discourse-oriented reading of a purposive corpus comprising legal texts (the Electronic Information and Transactions Law and the Personal Data Protection Law), policy documents (the National Cyber Security Strategy), institutional discourse of state cyber authorities, and constitutional jurisprudence. Three patterns emerge. First, cyber threats are framed as existential dangers to national sovereignty and unity, legitimizing extraordinary state measures. Second, the state functions as the dominant referent object of security, while the individual is more often positioned as a source of risk than as a subject to be protected. Third, a partial shift toward the individual as referent object is visible, chiefly through the statutory recognition of personal data protection, yet this shift coexists with the criminalization of expression that constrains individual security. The article argues that the securitization of cyberspace in Indonesia is ambivalent: it simultaneously promises and threatens individual security. Theoretically, it calls for extending securitization analysis to account for the contestation of referent objects; practically, it argues for selective desecuritization and governance that treats citizens as security subjects rather than mere objects of surveillance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application and effectiveness of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model in improving students' learning activeness in the IPAS subject at Grade V SD IT Insan Karim Samarinda Seberang. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection phases. The research subjects were 30 Grade V students. Data collection instruments included observation sheets, interviews, and documentation. The results showed a significant increase in students' learning activeness: from 50% in the pre-cycle, rising to 73.33% in Cycle I, and reaching 90% in Cycle II. With the achievement of the success indicator of at least 80% active students, it is concluded that the TPS learning model effectively improves students' learning activeness in the IPAS subject.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the reading aloud method in improving the beginning reading skills of first-grade students at SDN 003 Loa Janan Ilir. The low beginning reading skills of students are the background for this classroom action research. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model which consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 19 first-grade students at SDN 003 Loa Janan Ilir. Data were collected through reading ability tests, observations, and interviews. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' beginning reading skills. The average class score increased from 63.2 in the pre-cycle to 72.1 in the first cycle, and reached 83.4 in the second cycle. The percentage of classical learning completion increased from 42.11% to 68.42% in the first cycle, and reached 89.47% in the second cycle. The findings of this study indicate that the read-aloud method effectively improves students' beginning reading skills, encourages active participation, and fosters student confidence in learning Indonesian.

Abstract

Wad'i law is an essential component of Usul al-Fiqh that explains the conditions, requirements, causes, and impediments determining the applicability of taklifi rulings. Understanding Wad'i law serves as the foundation for the proper implementation of Islamic law, as it clarifies when and under what circumstances a particular legal ruling becomes applicable. This study aims to examine the concept, legal foundations, classifications, and the perspectives of the four major schools of Islamic jurisprudence regarding the application of Wad'i law. The study employs a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach by examining the Qur'an, the Sunnah, classical and contemporary Usul al-Fiqh literature, and other relevant scholarly sources. The findings reveal that Wad'i law consists of divine rulings that establish something as a cause (sabab), condition (shart), impediment (mani'), validity (sahih), invalidity (fasid/batil), and, according to some scholars, also includes 'azimah (original ruling) and rukhsah (legal concession). The foundations of Wad'i law are derived from the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and the principles of Usul al-Fiqh, which explain the relationship between causes, conditions, and impediments in determining legal rulings. Furthermore, differences exist among the Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hanbali schools concerning the application of several aspects of Wad'i law, particularly regarding the conditions for the validity of acts of worship and the determination of legal causes. Therefore, Wad'i law plays a strategic role as a legal framework that explains the mechanism for implementing taklifi rulings, ensuring that Islamic law is applied correctly, proportionately, and in accordance with the provisions established by the Sharia.

Abstract

This thesis analyzes the impact of and the United States’ response to ransomware attacks targeting critical energy infrastructure through a case study of the ransomware attack on Colonial Pipeline in May 2021. The cyberattack, carried out by the DarkSide hacking group, forced the shutdown of the largest fuel pipeline network in the United States, which supplies approximately 45 percent of the fuel consumed along the East Coast. This study employs a qualitative case study methodology and content analysis approach to examine cybersecurity vulnerabilities within energy infrastructure and the strategies adopted by the U.S. government in addressing such threats. The findings indicate that the Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack not only disrupted company operations but also triggered fuel shortages, public panic, and significant economic consequences. Using cybersecurity and national security perspectives, the analysis demonstrates that attacks on critical infrastructure have evolved into strategic threats capable of affecting both economic stability and national security. The United States government responded through stronger public-private sector cooperation, enhanced national cybersecurity policies, and law enforcement measures that successfully recovered part of the ransom payment made to the attackers. This study concludes that the Colonial Pipeline incident marked a significant turning point in U.S. cybersecurity policy and highlighted the urgent need to strengthen cyber resilience across the energy sector in order to address increasingly sophisticated ransomware threats in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fraction operations through the use of fraction board media for fourth-grade students of MI Darus Sakinah Tenggarong Seberang in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 24 fourth-grade students. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests, observations, and interviews. Data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results showed that the use of fraction board media can improve student learning outcomes on fraction operations material. In the pre-cycle stage, the average student score was 79.5 with a learning completion percentage of 87.5%. After the action in the first cycle, the average score increased to 82.9 with a completion percentage of 95.8%. In addition to improving learning outcomes, the use of fraction board media also increased student activity, enthusiasm, and participation during the learning process. Fraction board media helps students understand the abstract concept of fraction operations to be more concrete and easier to understand. Thus, the use of fraction board media has been proven effective in improving the learning outcomes of fraction operations in grade IV students of MI Darus Sakinah Tenggarong Seberang.

Abstract

This study uses financial ratios, common size, and comparative analysis to examine PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk's financial performance from 2020 to 2024. The study uses secondary data from annual financial reports and a descriptive quantitative methodology. According to the findings, the COVID-19 pandemic put the corporation under financial strain in 2020, but it recovered significantly in 2021–2024. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk's overall financial performance is steady and shows excellent profitability, liquidity, solvency, and risk management.

Abstract

The development of the professionalism of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers requires not only the enhancement of professional competence but also the strengthening of Islamic spiritual values and work ethics. However, studies on the integration of the values of amanah (trustworthiness) and ihsan (excellence) within the framework of Islamic Human Resource Management (IHRM) for developing IRE teachers’ professionalism remain limited. This study aims to analyze the concept of Islamic Human Resource Management in enhancing the professionalism of Islamic Religious Education teachers through the integration of amanah, ihsan, and professional competence. This study employed a qualitative approach using library research. Data were collected through documentation studies from scientific articles, books, and relevant literature, and analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings indicate that the implementation of IHRM in the development of IRE teachers can be carried out through recruitment, competency development, performance appraisal, and career development based on the values of amanah and ihsan. The value of amanah strengthens integrity, responsibility, and professional commitment, while ihsan encourages work quality, excellence, and continuous improvement. The novelty of this study lies in the conceptual construction of integrating modern human resource management practices with Islamic values as a holistic approach to enhancing the professionalism of Islamic Religious Education teachers.

Abstract

Psychological well-being is a fundamental indicator in supporting the optimal development of university students as emerging adults. One factor that is believed to be significantly associated with psychological well-being is family dysfunction, a dysfunctional condition within the family system characterized by the family's inability to adequately perform its essential functions, including communication, problem-solving, and the provision of emotional support. This study aimed to examine the relationship between family dysfunction and psychological well-being among university students in Jakarta. The study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The sample consisted of 100 active university students who resided in or were pursuing their studies in Jakarta, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using the Indonesian Family Function Scale (IFFS) to measure family dysfunction and the Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale (RPWBS) to assess psychological well-being. Data were analyzed using Spearman's rank-order correlation through JASP software. The results revealed a strong and statistically significant negative relationship between family dysfunction and psychological well-being (? = ?0.640, p < .001). These findings indicate that higher levels of family dysfunction are associated with lower levels of psychological well-being among university students. This study is expected to contribute to the development of family psychology research and provide an empirical foundation for mental health promotion programs targeting university students through the strengthening of family functioning.
