Abstract

This study examines the relationship between corporate governance, financial performance, and company value. The research employs a quantitative approach using path analysis with AMOS 22 to test direct and indirect relationships. Data were obtained from secondary sources, specifically financial reports of companies listed in the LQ45 index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2019 to 2023. The sample consists of 120 companies selected through purposive sampling based on specific criteria. The results show that board size has a significant influence on company value, while board meetings do not. Financial performance, tested as a mediating variable, does not significantly mediate the relationship between corporate governance and company value. The Sobel test confirms the absence of mediation for both board size and board meetings. The findings suggest that governance practices impact company value more through structural aspects than performance indicators. The negative relationship between board size and company value indicates potential challenges related to communication and decision-making in larger boards, aligning with prior research. These results highlight the importance of optimizing board size to enhance company value while reconsidering the effectiveness of frequent meetings. Future research is recommended to explore other mediating factors, such as strategic practices or investor perceptions, to provide a more comprehensive understanding of these relationships.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Technology Readiness and Financial Literacy on Fintech Utilization and Financial Planning, considering the mediating role of Financial Planning. Using the PLS-SEM method via SmartPLS 3 and involving 100 respondents who have actively used fintech services in the past year, the study finds that both Technology Readiness and Financial Literacy have a positive and significant impact on Fintech Utilization and Financial Planning. Individuals with higher technology readiness are more likely to utilize technology-based financial services and have better financial planning capabilities. Similarly, Financial Literacy plays a role in enhancing fintech utilization and improving financial planning skills. Another key finding is that Financial Planning significantly mediates the relationship between Technology Readiness and Fintech Utilization, but it does not mediate the relationship between Financial Literacy and Fintech Utilization, indicating that financial literacy has a more direct impact. The practical implications of this study highlight the need for increasing financial literacy and promoting technology adoption in financial activities, both by fintech service providers and stakeholders in the financial sector. The findings also serve as a reference for future research to explore other factors influencing fintech utilization and financial planning in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the self-concept of refugee children after receiving care from foster parents who are local Indonesian people. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach to find out how the self-concept is built by refugee children. The study was conducted in addition to using in-depth interviews with informants, both refugee children, foster parents, and the surrounding community. The data collection process in this study used interviews, in-depth observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques used data reduction and triangulation. The results of the study of three refugee children who were cared for by foster parents from different cultural backgrounds generally showed positive results, and a relationship was found between the impact on care from a family to help children grow and develop properly as has been believed by child development experts. The care provided, in addition to helping children grow and develop, also has an impact on their adjustment to the local community and helps them develop a positive self-concept as found in the field. This positive self-concept is valuable capital for them in living their lives in the future.

Abstract

This quantitative study aims to analyze the effect of Time Management and Workload on Job Stress among teachers, with Social Support as an intervening variable. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey distributed to 100 high school teachers in East Jakarta and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The outer model test results indicate that all indicators are valid and reliable, as shown by a loading factor above 0.70, an Average Variance Extracted (AVE) value above 0.50, and Composite Reliability exceeding 0.90. The R-Square values for the Social Support and Job Stress constructs are 0.897 and 0.886, respectively, indicating that both constructs can be comprehensively explained by the exogenous variables in the model. The key findings reveal that Workload and Time Management have a positive and significant effect on Job Stress, both directly and through Social Support. Interestingly, Social Support also exhibits a positive relationship with Job Stress, which may indicate increased expectations or role demands on teachers. This suggests that, rather than alleviating stress, a high level of social support may inadvertently increase psychological burdens. This study recommends further examination of the quality and type of social support provided to ensure that time management strategies and workload management effectively reduce teachers' Job Stress.

Abstract

The increase in the volume of household waste is one of the pressing environmental issues, because poor management can cause air, soil, and water pollution, as well as cause various health problems. This study aims to optimize household waste processing in order to reduce the impact of environmental pollution. Which was carried out in Tugumulyo District, Musi Rawas Regency from October to December 2024. The study used a survey method with observation location points in 3 randomly selected areas ( Random sampling) , each point was determined 3 hamlets or neighborhood units randomly. Respondents were determined by simple random sampling as much as 15% of the number of families in each hamlet and RT. The data collected consisted of: 1) Respondent identity, 2) Amount and type of waste produced, 3) Type of waste storage inside and outside the home, and 4) household waste processing. The research data were processed tabulated using Microsoft Excel.2010 Software. The processed data were then analyzed mathematically and presented in the form of tabulations which were explained descriptively. The conclusion of this research is based on the results of the research that has been conducted, the following conclusions can be drawn: The type of waste that is mostly produced by households is organic waste, with an average waste production of 340 grams per day. Households mostly use temporary shelters both inside and outside the house in the form of plastic bags or plastic sacks. The amount of waste processed by the community is very small, which is only 6% of the total waste produced. The potential for utilizing household waste is very high, because it has not been processed much by the community.
