Abstract

This study evaluated the competence of preceptors in surgical medical nursing. The research method uses quantitative descriptive with a cross-sectional research design. The sample number was 100 respondents doing clinical practice in medical-surgical nursing at the Navy Central Hospital. Dr. Ramelan Surabaya. The sampling technique uses Simple Random Sampling. The questionnaire used is the Preceptor Competency Questionnaire, which is a self-assessment. The results showed that all preceptors had good competence in all indicators. These indicators include knowledge competence, clinical skills, teaching ability, communication skills, personal characteristics, leadership, professional behavior, and ethics. However, a small percentage of receptors need to improve the ease of consultation. This research provides new insights into the practice of clinical guidance in surgical medical nursing. It can be applied to enhance the quality of clinical learning in hospitals and nursing education institutions.

Abstract

Literacy is a symbol, system, and sound structure that conveys meaning, representing a fundamental competency encompassing four language skill listening, speaking, reading, and writing. One key element in education is communication literacy, which is an individual’s ability to context. This research aims to raise awareness among elementary school students about the importance of communication literacy at SD Negeri 05 Pemulutan. The research employs two methodes 1) Conventional and 2) Question and Answer. The conventional method assesses the extent of student’s compherension through interactive questioning. The results indicate that concrete steps have been taken to improve student’s communications literacy, previously at a low level. These efforts have assisted students in increasing their interest in reading and writing, as well as enhancing their abilities to use information and communication technology. This research contributes insight into how to enhance communication literacy at the elementary school level by demonstrating the effectiveness of specific teaching strategies and involving various stakeholers.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of aerobic exercise on the gross motor development of children aged 5-6 years at TK ST Antonius 2 Medan. This type of research is experimental research with an Only Post-test control Group Design. The population in the study was 6 class B. So the sample in this study was Kindergarten B children, totaling 13 people in the experimental class and 13 people in the control class. This research data was obtained using observation techniques using instrument sheets. The data analysis technique uses non-parametric statistics with the Mann Whitney test. The test results show that aerobic exercise has a significant influence on the development of children's gross motor skills with the criteria for testing the hypothesis if H0 is accepted Ucount < Utabel, H0 is rejected if Ucount > Utabel. The result of the hypothesis test was 2.5385 < 4.4, it was proven that H0 was rejected, meaning that there was a significant increase in gross motor development by being given aerobic exercise in the experimental class compared to the control class which was not given aerobic exercise but rather rhythmic exercise. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of aerobic exercise on the gross motor development of children aged 5-6 years at TK ST Antonius 2 Medan FY 2022/2023.

Abstract

The comprehensive understanding towards Merdeka Curriculum is crucial for pre-service teachers because they will be responsible for effectively implementing it with their pedagogical knowledge, but it was found that only two from nine pre-service teachers who have good understanding towards Merdeka curriculum. This study aims to explore the issue in-depth about the strategies used by pre-service teachers in understanding Merdeka curriculum through conducting a case study with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research are the students of the English Education Department from two different private Universities in Yogyakarta who have joined PPL (Program Pengenalan Lapangan) and have comprehensive understanding towards the Merdeka curriculum. The study used interview, observation, and document analysis to collect the data. The findings of this study indicate that the strategies used by the pre-service teachers were looking for information from the internet, reading, having discussion, and practice. Besides, understanding the core principle of Merdeka Belajar Curriculum, they also put it into practice in class. The respondents also indicate that they are having applied the Merdeka curriculum into their teaching practice, but they faced difficulties in differentiated learning.

Abstract

Critical thinking and problem-solving, creativity and innovation, communication, and teamwork are some of these 21st-century abilities. It is possible to build these 21st century skills in any discipline. It is highly appropriate to study English as a subject in order to gain 21st century skills. To effectively and efficiently accomplish learning objectives, chemistry instructors must deliberately cultivate these 21st century competencies. Teachers can use scientific learning models, such as project-based, problem-based, discovery, or design-based learning models, to help students acquire the English language abilities they need for the twenty-first century. To help students gain 21st century abilities, these learning models must be applied as best as possible, adhering to the principles of the scientific method. The evaluation of 21st century abilities and the use of blended learning are also crucial.

Abstract

The courage of students in honing their speaking skills to become confident with English club activities such as in this study. "Speaking ability of columbia Nursing Academic Students" in Medan City District, North Sumatra Province is the subject of this research. The research method used is data collection such as filling out questionnaires and observation. The type of research used is qualitative research. This study also aims to prove that the activities of the English club can generate confidence to train students' speaking skills. Based on the lack of confidence of Columbia nursing academic students in speaking English, the researchers conducted English club activities to foster students' confidence in honing their English speaking skills.

Abstract

The Role of Teachers in Early Childhood Character Education at Syalom Bunuraya Kindergarten is divided into 3 roles, namely the role of teachers as educators, guides and models. This study aims to describe the role of teachers as educators, guides and models in early childhood character education at Syalom Bunuraya Kindergarten. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. This research will be conducted from September 11 to November 11, 2023. The source of this research is Syalom Bunuraya Kindergarten class teachers as many as 2 teachers, the subject of this research is based on teachers who have different educational backgrounds including graduates of S1 SE (Bachelor of Economics) S1 S.Pd (Bachelor of Education). Data collection techniques include non-participant observation and guided interviews. Data Analysis Data uses Milles and Humberman data analysis with data collection stages through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity testing is performed by triangulation. The results showed that: 1. the role of teachers as educators in Syalom Bunuraya Kindergarten as protectors, companions, servants,. 2. The role of the teacher as a guide as a director, controller, monitor, bodyguard, and reminder.3. The role of the teacher as a model aligns speech with deeds and displays a neat appearance and manners inside and outside school. The obstacles faced by teachers as educators are teachers who consider all children's characteristics equally both interests, talents and skills, and cognitive are the main factors, namely calistung to support their education in elementary school as a teacher guide who do not graduate from S1 PAUD so that their knowledge is less extensive about the child's world. As a model, teachers are inconsistent with the role they play by looking immodest by wearing dresses to school.

Abstract

In this research, the problem is that children's initial reading abilities are still low. This research aims to determine the effect of using flashcard media on the beginning reading abilities of children aged 5-6 years at the Sahabat Rina Medan Kindergarten. This research uses an experimental method approach (Quasi-experiment design) in the form of The One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study were all students aged 5-6 years in class B2 with a sample size of 20 children at the Sahabat Rina Medan Kindergarten. The data collection instrument in this research used a performance test. From the data analysis, the pretest data (before treatment) has an average score (mean) of 26.90 and the posttest data (after treatment) has an average score (mean) of 37.95. Based on data analysis through non-parametric hypothesis testing, the SPSS 25 statistical test was obtained, namely 0.000. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of flashcard media has a significant influence on the beginning reading abilities of children aged 5-6 years at Sahabat Rina Kindergarten.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the process of making learning media using Blooket media for vocabulary learning and to describe the results of making learning media using Blooket for vocabulary learning. This research is a compilation study. This research uses the Richey and Klein model. There are three steps in this research, which are divided into three steps: (1) planning, (2) production, and (3) evaluation. The research results show that learning materials on the topic of family history were created using data collected from existing data sources during the research. Blooket's media about family history is packaged well, practical, interesting and effective so that students can easily understand the material and use it as a learning tool.
