Moderasi : Journal of Islamic Studies published by Lajnah Ta lif wan Nasyr Nahdlatul Ulama (LTN-NU) Kabupaten Probolinggo since 2021, can be said as the oldest academic journal dealing with the theme in Indonesian. Moderasi : Journal of Islamic Studies, published twice a year. The subject covers textual and fieldwork studies with various perspectives of law, education, economics, philosophy, mysticism, history, art, theology, and many more. In the beginning, the journal only served as a scholarly forum for the lecturers and professors at the State Institute of Islamic Studies. However, due to the later development with a broader readership, the journal has successfully invited scholars and researchers outside the Institute to contribute. Thus, Indonesian and non-Indonesian scholars have enriched the studies published in the journal. Although not from the beginning Moderasi : Journal of Islamic Studies presents highly qualified scholarly articles, improvement—in terms of format, style, and academic quality—never ceases. With articles written in Indonesian, Arabic and English and with the fair procedure of peer review, Moderasi : Journal of Islamic Studies continues publishing research and studies pertinent to Islamic studies with various dimensions and approaches. Moderasi : Journal of Islamic Studies, published twice a year, always places Islam and Muslims in the central focus of academic inquiry and invites any comprehensive observation of Islam as a theological belief and a system of society and Muslims as those who practice the religion with their many facets. This journal, serving as a forum for studying Islam in Indonesia and other parts of the world within its local and challenging global context, supports focused studies of particular themes and interdisciplinary studies. Moderasi : Journal of Islamic Studies has become a medium of diffusion and exchange of ideas and research findings, so much so that researchers, writers, and readers from various traditions of learning have interacted in a scholarly manner.

Abstract

In the midst of modern currents full of new things, it is undeniable that friction between things that have never happened has occurred. With this, Muslims need to be wary because they do not have halal law or not. One of the many foundations of legal establishment is Qiyas. Where Qiyas is used to determine a law if there is no definite proposition that establishes the law so that Qiyas here is one of the solutions used. The purpose of this writing is to explain about qiyas and its application in the modern era. The research method used is library research or literature study with descriptive analysis. The results found that 1) Qiyas is a legal method used by looking at the similarities between the postulates that have problems with problems that occur in the modern era. 2) There are three common types of qiyas including: Qiyas Awlawi, Musawi and Adwan. These three qiyas are actually the same, only the difference lies in the context of the problem. 3) Implementation that can be applied is to know the problem, look for legal propositions that explain the problem, if there are none then look for those that have the same type, then look for similarities and differences and then set the law. An example is about the viral wisky and soju laws, where the related propositions do not exist, but those who talk about the same kind are about khamar because it has in common that it is intoxicating so that the law is haram.

Abstract

This research covers three main aspects, namely the understanding, responses, and religious influence of Islamic religious education study program students on religious moderation. This research uses quantitative research methods and data collection techniques through the distribution of questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation. The population and sample in the study included all students of the Islamic religious education study program at STIT At-Taqwa Ciparay-Bandung, using non-probability sampling techniques.The research results show that students' religious understanding is included in the good category, with a frequency of 57 and a percentage of 68%. Meanwhile, religious moderation is included in the quite good category, with a frequency of 39 and a percentage of 46%. Apart from that, the research results also revealed that around 33.1% of the level of religious moderation was influenced by religious understanding, while the remainder, around 66.9%, was influenced by other variables not studied, such as seminar training programs, curriculum based on religious understanding, extracurricular activities. based on religious understanding, mentoring and spiritual guidance, religious studies, integration of religious values in campus life, and so on. This research is important in the context of efforts to increase religious moderation in society.

Abstract

This research focuses on munasabah, or conformity, in the al-Qur'an. This research uses qualitative methods, and data collection uses documentation. In data analysis, researchers used inductive, deductive, and descriptive analysis. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the Ulama' are divided into two groups in responding to the application of munasabah in the al-Qur'an: those who are pro and those who are against. Pro-Secularists argue that munasabah is very helpful in understanding the Koran. Meanwhile, opposing scholars argue that the verses of the Koran have their own historical context. So, it is not appropriate for munasabah to be applied in all verses of the al-Qur'an.

Abstract

This thesis entitled "Analysis of Accountability of the Arbai Qohar Islamic Boarding School, Ngawi Regency" was created with the aim of knowing the process of financial recording at the Arbai Qohar Islamic boarding school and the accountability of the financial reports that have been prepared by the Arbai Qohar Islamic boarding school. This study used a descriptive qualitative analysis method using observation, interview and documentation analysis techniques. The informants in this study were the management, treasurer and also the management of the financial section of the Arbai Qohar Islamic boarding school. In addition, researchers will also look at the archives of financial records from the Arbai Qohar Islamic boarding school. Thus, this research uses primary and secondary data sources. From the results of the analysis conducted by researchers, it can be concluded that the Arbai Qohar Islamic Boarding School in making financial records still uses a manual system, and accountability cannot be fully said. Factors that must be considered in determining accountability are the criteria of accountability itself. Because Islamic boarding schools differ from one another in applying these criteria.

Abstract

The quality of students is the main characteristic of a person, whether individual or group. To strengthen the quality of a student, there is a real need for an Integrated Islamic Boarding School Education system. The Integrated Islamic Boarding School Education System is classified as a democratic Islamic Boarding School type where the Islamic Boarding School system always holds deliberations with the entire board of teachers and staff in determining every decision that will be taken. Integrated Islamic Boarding Schools are classified as a democratic type of Islamic Boarding School where the Islamic Boarding School system always holds deliberations with the entire board of teachers and staff. In determining every decision to be taken. This research is a qualitative research. Research that describes data content, data quotations and provides an overview of report presentation through direct observation, interviews and documentary studies. The implementation of the integrated Islamic Boarding School education system at Darul Ulum in an effort to improve the quality of students is an Integrated Islamic Boarding School education system of the democratic Islamic Boarding School type where the Islamic Boarding School system always holds deliberations with the entire board of teachers and staff in determining every decision that will be taken. This integrated education system carries out its management role by not providing boundaries or differences between ustadz/ustadzah, staff and administration. They blend into one unit. By making efforts to apply the programs that have been planned and prepared by the integrated Islamic boarding school education system. Also evaluating the quality of student education programs which is carried out once a week.

Abstract

Communication of the Nahdlatul Ulama Pasuruan University Student Executive Board is a discourse that places communication and interaction activities in the corridors of the intra-campus student organization which is an executive institution at the Islamic higher education level of NU Pasuruan which is led by a student president. This research uses qualitative research methods, data is collected through indirect observation and interviews from primary and secondary data sources. In this organization, leaders have an important role, therefore a leader should have the following leadership characteristics: (1) clever and intelligent (fathonah), (2) honest and truthful (siddiq), (2) brave to take risks and take responsibility (amanah), and (4) transformative and oriented towards the future of Islamic society (tabligh).

Abstract

This research concerns all efforts and efforts to study the educational methods of the Prophet Muhammad. How to implement it in various Islamic educational institutions, especially at Madrasah Miftahul Ranuklindungan Grati Pasuruan. Therefore, the author would try to collect as many references to the educational methods of the Prophet Muhammad as possible, both from what is implied from the Al-Quran, Al Hadith, as well as the works of Salafunas Sholih Ulama and Contemporary Ulama. However, it can be realized that it is certain that the educational methods of the Prophet Muhammad may not all be the same as there are many stories from his friends, perhaps only some of them with great hope of finding a bright spot in the educational patterns and methods of the Prophet Muhammad and his friends in the past. Rasulullah SAW's educational methods are widely used by Islamic educational institutions, because Rasulullah's education is an education that continues to be relevant and never gets old until now, wherever and whenever. Meanwhile, in this research method, the author uses a combined historical and descriptive approach. The results of this research are: descriptive of the pattern of Islamic education during the time of Rasulullah Muhammad SAW including: Specifications of Rasulullah's educational methods and how to implement Rasulullah's educational methods in various Islamic education, especially at MMU Ranuklindungan Grati Pasuruan. With the hope that the educational method of Rasulullah SAW will be a form of transformative solution to Islamic education today which is faced by various problems and differences in perspective, understanding and implementation of Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Penulisan penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh suatu fenomena faktual yang dikeluarkan oleh Indonesian Nation Adolescent Mental Healty Survei (I-NAMHS) tentang 1 dari 3 remaja berusia 10-17 tahun mengalami masalah kesehatan mental dan data yang dikeluarkan oleh databoks tentang kasus perceraian tahun 2022 yang penyebab utama ialah perselisihan dan pertengkaran yang jumlahnya sebanyak 63,41 % atau sejumlah 284.169 kasus. Dari data ini maka penulis memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui metode terapi shalat bahagia dan metode terapi dzikir bahagia serta mengetahui bagaimana membangun keluarga sakinah melalui dua metode tersebut. Selanjutnya penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan grounded teory Dari data yang didapatkan penulis, mulai dari observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan instrumen penelitian maka penulis mengolah data tersebut dengan menggunakan pendekatan grounded teory, mengamati tindakan atau interaksi dari obyek yang diteliti untuk nantinya digenelaralisir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1). Metode terapi shalat bahagia merupakan metode ibadah yang diawali dari menghadap kiblat, berdiri, Takbiratul ihram, membaca Al Fatihah, Rukuk, I’tidal, sujud, duduk diantara dua sujud, Tasyahud dan diakhiri salam yang dilakukan secara khusyu’. 2). Metode terapi dzikir bahagia merupakan aktivitas dzikrullah (mengingat Allah) secara jujur yang di mulai dari aktivasi hati, mengambil posisi, memejamkan mata, menyentuh dada, melafadzlkan tasbih, tahmid, istighfar dan takbir yang dilakukan dengan ikhlas. 3). Membangun keluarga sakinah yang bercirikan konsep litaskunu, penuh kelembutan hati, moral, ekonomi yang mentegakkan aturan keluarga dan etika kepada orang tua serta keluarga ipar.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of self-confidence on the mathematical communication ability of fifth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in the topic of three-dimensional geometry. A quantitative approach with a non-experimental correlational design was employed. The sample consisted of 28 students from a Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Garut Regency, West Java, Indonesia. The instruments used in this study included a self-confidence questionnaire and a written test to assess students' mathematical communication skills. Data analysis using simple linear regression revealed a significant effect of self-confidence on students' mathematical communication ability, with a significance value of 0.002 (p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.314, indicating that self-confidence contributes 31.4% to students’ mathematical communication performance. These findings suggest that students with higher self-confidence tend to demonstrate better mathematical communication skills. The study recommends that teachers and schools give greater attention to fostering students’ self-confidence as a means to support success in mathematics learning

Abstract

 Waqf serves as a pivotal social finance instrument within Islamic teachings, aimed at optimizing the economic potential and benefits of assets for both religious purposes and public welfare. As home to the world’s largest Muslim population—approximately 237.55 million people—Indonesia possesses immense potential for waqf fund accumulation. However, the development of waqf remains suboptimal and inadequately socialized due to several critical factors. These include a stagnant public understanding of waqf and the prevalence of traditional management practices among nazhirs (waqf managers). Consequently, waqf has yet to significantly impact poverty reduction or bridge the economic inequality gap in the country. If Indonesia successfully optimizes this vast waqf potential, particularly through cash waqf, social prosperity and national economic stability would be more effectively guaranteed.
