Abstract

Abstrak Perkembangan teknologi kecerdasan buatan berkembang pesat, salah satunya yaitu chatbot. Meningkatnya intensitas percakapan digital mendorong berbagai pihak untuk mengembangkan potensi chatbot pada berbagai bidang, termasuk bidang pendidikan. Chatbot pada bidang pendidikan dapat dikembangkan untuk membuat kuis interaktif & tanya jawab otomatis, serta sebagai media yang dapat memberikan informasi secara instan sesuai dengan yang diminta oleh pengguna saat kapan saja dan dapat dapat diakses melalui ponsel pintar atau komputer. Oleh karena itu chatbot dapat menjadi alternatif media pembelajaran yang interaktif dan menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan chatbot berbasis web sebagai media pembelajaran matematika pada materi sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel yang layak digunakan dengan memenuhi kriteria kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dan analisis data secara kuantitatif. Langkah penelitian pengembangan media chatbot dikembangkan sesuai prosedur model Borg and Gall yang dimodifikasi oleh Soenarto, yaitu: analisis produk, pengembangan produk awal, dan pengujian produk yang dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media memenuhi kriteria valid dengan skor 77,08% yang didapat dari hasil penilaian oleh dua validator ahli media dan ahli materi. Media memenuhi kriteria praktis dengan skor 74,87% yang didapat dari hasil angket kepraktisan dari 33 siswa. Media memenuhi kriteria efektif dengan skor 75,75% yang didasarkan pada nilai siswa pada media chatbot yang menunjukkan 25 dari 33 siswa mendapat nilai lebih dari atau sama dengan 80 (kriteria ketuntasan minimal). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media chatbot dapat menarik minat siswa dalam belajar matematika dan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran materi sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel. Kata Kunci: chatbot, media pembelajaran, sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel Abstract Artificial intelligence technology is growing rapidly; one of those is the chatbot. The increasing intensity of digital conversations encourages people to develop the chatbot potential in various fields, including education. Chatbots in education can be designed to create interactive quizzes & automatic Q&A and media that can provide information instantly as requested by the user and can be accessed through a smartphone or computer. Therefore chatbots can be interactive and interesting learning alternative media. The research aims to develop a web-based chatbot as mathematics learning media on the system of linear equations in three variables material worth using qualified by the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The approach used in this study is descriptive and quantitative data analysis. The Chatbot development research steps are according to the Borg and Gall model procedures modified by Soenarto: product analysis, initial product development, and testing of the developed product. The results showed that media is valid with a score of 77.08% obtained from results of assessments by two media and material expert validators. Media is practical with a score of 74.87% obtained from the practicality questionnaire of 33 students. Media iseffective with a score of 75.75% based on student scores on chatbot media which shows 25 out of 33 students scored more than or equal to 80 (standard of minimum completeness). So the researchers can conclude that chatbot media can attract students' interest in learning mathematics and is worth using in learning system of linear equations in three variables. Abstract

Abstrak Geometri merupakan salah satu cabang matematika yang dipelajari di semua jenjang pendidikan dan sering ditemui di kehidupan sehari-hari namun peserta didik sering mengalami kesalahan konsep dasar atau yang biasa disebut miskonsepsi, dan hal ini tidak seharusnya dibiarkan melainkan harus dibimbing dengan strategi yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan peta konsep untuk mengatasi miskonsepsi peserta didik pada materi bangun datar segiempat. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan dengan empat subjek kelas VII SMP yang belum menerima materi segi empat pada jenjang SMP. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan Lembar kerja Peserta didik (LKPD), peta konsep, dan wawancara. LKPD pertama diberikan kepada peserta didik kelas VII yang belum menerima materi bangun datar segi empat pada jenjang SMP dan didapat keempat peserta didik mengalami miskonsepsi yang berbeda, kemudian pemberian angket serta dilakukan wawancara untuk melihat kesesuaian dengan hasil LKPD yang dikerjakan. Selanjutnya peserta didik diminta membuat peta konsep bangun datar segi empat dengan tujuan memahami unsur-unsur bangun datar, seperti sudut, sisi, Diagonal serta menggambarkan bentuk segiempat tersebut. Setelah membuat peta konsep, peserta didik diberikan LKPD kedua didapat keempat peserta didik masih mengalami miskonsepsi yang hampir sama dengan miskonsepsi sebelumnya. Penjelasan tentang peta konsep yang kurang mendalam dan hanya dikenalkan sekali saja membuat peta konsep yang dibuat peserta didik kurang berpengaruh dalam mengatasi miskonsepsi. Abstract

Kemampuan seseorang dalam memahami, menginterpretasi, mengevaluasi, dan mengomunikasikan data atau statistik disebut sebagai kemampuan literasi statistis yang dapat dipengaruhi oleh gaya kognitif sistematis dan intuitif seseorang dalam memperoleh dan memproses informasi di dalam otaknya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi statistis siswa SMA yang memiliki gaya kognitif sistematis dan siswa SMA yang memiliki gaya kognitif intuitif dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas XII-IPA masing-masing satu siswa pada tiap gaya kognitif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan instrumen utama penelitian yaitu peneliti sendiri dan instrumen pendukung berupa tes gaya kognitif, tes literasi statistis, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi statistis siswa SMA yang memiliki gaya kognitif sistematis berada pada kategori baik karena mampu memenuhi 3 (tiga) dari 4 (empat) indikator literasi statistis yang telah ditentukan yaitu siswa mampu memahami data, siswa mampu menginterpretasi data, dan siswa mampu mengomunikasikan data, sedangkan siswa SMA yang memiliki gaya kognitif intuitif berada pada kategori sangat baik karena siswa mampu memenuhi semua indikator literasi statistis yang telah ditentukan yaitu siswa mampu memahami data, siswa mampu menginterpretasi data, siswa mampu mengevaluasi data, dan siswa mampu mengomunikasikan data. Oleh karena itu, guru diharapkan dapat memberikan soal-soal statistika yang memuat informasi dengan konteks nyata kehidupan sehari-hari beserta penjelasan grafik, tabel, atau diagram namun dengan tingkat kesulitan yang lebih tinggi agar siswa dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi statistisnya, serta guru tidak membatasi bagaimana siswa menjawab supaya siswa dapat bekerja secara sistematis dan intuitif sesuai gaya kognitifnya masing-masing.

Abstract

Kaitan erat yang jarang disadari antara matematika dan budaya, sering diabaikan dan dianggap tidak terkoneksi satu sama lain. Padahal dalam pembelajaran matematika, alangkah lebih baik dimulai dari tempat terdekat siswa yaitu lingkungan dan budaya mereka sendiri. Kajian tentang matematika dalam budaya bertujuan agar meningkatkan ketertarikan antara matematika dan budaya. Begitu juga pembelajaran matematika dengan budaya atau etnomatematika dapat merangsang daya nalar dalam diri siswa, dengan mengingat hal esensial dari objek yang akan dipelajari. Objek penelitian ini difokuskan pada budaya masyarakat Tulungagung meliputi Klethek, anyaman Crafirafi dan Reyog Tulungagung. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni mendeskripsikan etnomatematika pada budaya Tulungagung khususnya pada Klethek, anyaman Crafirafi dan Reyog Tulungagung. Jenis penelitian ini ialah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan etnografi. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan terdiri atas observasi partisipan dan wawancara dengan menggunakan human instrument sebagai instrumen utama serta memanfaatkan lembar observasi dan pedoman wawancara sebagai instrument pendukung yang didasarkan pada kebutuhan penelitian. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis domain, analisis taksonomi dan analisis tema kultural. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh memperlihatkan bahwa berdasarkan kajian etnomatematika terhadap budaya Tulungagung ditemukan beberapa konsep matematika yakni penggunaan satuan baku dan tidak baku, aritmatika sosial, teselasi, geometri, transformasi geometri serta konsep pengulangan. Oleh karena itu, budaya Tulungagung dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai perangkat pembelajaran matematika kontekstual.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy and ethnomathematics have an important relationship in the idea of ​​knowing the role of mathematics in everyday life. Mathematical literacy is an important component that a person has in mathematics that focuses on mathematical competence and social life, while ethnomathematics is a component of mathematics that focuses on habits developed in cultural groups of society. The object of this research focuses on the culture of Mojokerto which includes Bejijong batik, Ujung Art, and Bo Liem dumplings. The purpose of this research is to describe the study of mathematical literacy found in ethnomathematical studies in terms of content, context, and mathematical process aspects. This research is a type of qualitative research using an ethnographic approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and data recording. Are research instrument used is the researcher himself (human instrument) as the main instrument and observation sheets and interview guidelines as supporting instruments. Are data analysis technique used isdomain analysis, taxonomic analysis, and cultural themes. The results of research on Mojokerto culture based on ethnomathematical studies found the application of geometric transformations, concepts of flat and geometric shapes, concepts of number patterns, concepts of probability of events, and mathematical concepts in counting and measuring activities. Based on an ethnomathematical study of the activities of the three cultural systems in Mojokerto, it fulfills the aspects of mathematical literacy so that it can implement ethnomathematical-based mathematical literacy questions that can be used to support the learning process, namely in the form of the output of the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) Numerical Level 4 Grade 8.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the cognitive processes of high school students in terms of their mathematical abilities in solving the Minimum Competency Assessment Numeracy problems related to Geometry and Measurement. Problems were given to three 10th science students with categories of high, medium, and low mathematical ability. Data on the results of the subject's work were analyzed based on the cognitive processes stage, namely the stage of Comprehending linguistic and numerical information in the problem; 2) Translating and transforming that information into mathematical notations, algorithms, and equations; 3) Observing relationships among the elements of the problem; 4) Formulating a plan to solve the problem; 5) Predicting outcome; 6) Regulating the solution path as it is executed; 7) Detecting and correcting errors during problem solution which is then followed by in-depth interviews. The results showed that students with high mathematical abilities went through all stages of the cognitive process quite coherently and completely. While students with moderate abilities went through the stage of understanding information to the calculation stage of planning, but there were some errors and corrections in finding solutions. Meanwhile, students with low abilities had not been able to show the stages of cognitive processes in a coherent manner so that many stages were interrupted and had to return to the stage of understanding the problem. Based on these results, it is hoped that learning for the preparation of the Minimum Competency Assessment for Geometry and Measurement material can be emphasized more and so that the understanding of information on students' problems can continue the completion stage according to the solution plan that they have made. Abstract

Mathematics learning will achieve satisfactory results if it can meet all standards in the learning process, including mathematical communication skills. Mathematical communication is an ability to understand problems by modeling them into mathematical symbols and explaining mathematical ideas in writing or orally. This research with descriptive qualitative method aims to describe the mathematical communication skills of students with high and moderate mathematical abilities in class X in solving SPLTV questions. The data collection technique used a written test in the form of SPLTV material story questions and interviews as supporting data. The results showed that students who had high mathematical ability fulfilled all indicators of mathematical communication correctly, while students who had moderate mathematical ability met the indicators of mathematical communication in understanding the core of the problem and mentioning what is known and asked in the question. It is hoped that the teacher will be able to improve students' mathematical communication skills by applying story questions whose answers have mathematical communication indicators so that students are increasingly able to express mathematical ideas both in writing and verbally and are able to fulfill all indicators of mathematical communication.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy is the human ability to formulate, use, and interpret mathematical knowledge and skills in various real-life contexts. This descriptive qualitative study aims to describe the mathematical literacy of 4 grade XII students in solving the Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum (AKM) questions, in one of the Muhammadiyah Gresik High Schools based on gender. AKM is a basic assessment of students' abilities as a medium for developing self-competence so that they can think critically in everyday life. Collecting data using the AKM mathematical literacy test and interviews, test and interview data were analyzed based on indicators of mathematical literacy. The results showed that the literacy skills of female students met the indicators in the process of formulating, implementing, and interpreting problems with appropriate solutions. Meanwhile, male students met the indicators in the process of formulating and implementing. Teachers need to familiarize students with solving problems related to mathematical literacy.

Abstract

Creativity is a product of someone's creative thinking. HOTS questions are questions that are used to measure students' higher order thinking skills. Learning concentration is a process of focusing the mind on learning to the exclusion of other things outside of learning. This study aims to analyze the creativity of junior high school students in solving mathematics HOTS questions based on learning concentration. This type of research includes qualitative descriptive research, with 6 research subjects as representatives of the very high, high, and moderate learning concentration groups. The instruments used in this study were a learning concentration questionnaire, mathematics HOTS questions, and interview guidelines. The data from the learning concentration questionnaire were analyzed using a Likert Scale, the data from the creative thinking ability test were analyzed based on the components of creative thinking. The data from the test and interviews were analyzed using the method of Miles, Huberman, and Sadana. The results showed that students with very high levels of learning concentration were classified as very creative, not all students with high levels of learning concentration could achieve the components of fluency and flexibility. Meanwhile, students with moderate levels of learning concentration were classified as less creative.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics is a mathematical idea that grows in a culture. Ethnomathematics is an important idea to know the role of mathematics in everyday life. Through ethnomathematics, learning mathematics can be taught in close situations with students. Thus, students will be easier and interested in understanding mathematical concepts at school. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify the ethnomathematical form that exist in fish breeders activities in Tambak Bulak Sidoarjo which focuses on six fundamental activities in a culture. This research is a qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. Data obtained from participant observation and interviews with fish breeders from the Tambak Bulak Sidoarjo community with data collection instruments are observation sheets, interview guidelines, and research note sheets. Furthermore, the data will be analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques. The results showed that, there were ethnomathematical form in fish breeders activities in Tambak Bulak Sidoarjo related to the concept of numbers, cartesian coordinate system, length, direct proportion, inverse proportion, plane figures namely rectangles, trapezoids, circles, rhombuses, triangles, and pentagons, also the math logic concepts. Thus, fish breeders activities can be used as a bridge to teach mathematical concepts in schools with the hope that students can more easily understand the mathematical concepts.
