<![CDATA[This research answers the problem formulation of the urgency of tax digitalization as a transition formulation towards tax transparency and determines the various obstacles in implementing tax digitalization as a transition formulation towards tax transparency. Transparency is one component of good governance, including in the field of taxation. In order to realize aspects of transparency, the government issued a tax digitalization policy. The hope is that digitalization of taxation can improve the weaknesses of conventional taxation and be able to formulate a transition or change towards transparent taxation. This sociolegal research uses a qualitative and descriptive approach with the main aim of searching for data on the implementation of tax digitalization as well as at the regional level within the scope of its implementation by employees of the Primary and Middle Tax Offices in the City of Surakarta. The results of the research are the urgency of digitizing taxation as a transition formulation towards tax transparency as a response to electronic and e-Government based government systems as well as increasing ease of tax access. Meanwhile, various obstacles in implementing tax digitalization as a formulation of the transition towards tax transparency include the transition from conventional taxation to digital taxation as well as budget problems and system maintenance.]]>

<![CDATA[The Covid-19 pandemic has posed a challenge to the use of technology in the education sector in Indonesia. This situation has made university students independent learners through online classes. In the beginning of Covid-19 the students at Udayana University have implemented online learning. In this context, students are required to understand the course material and complete assignments as part of learning evaluation, thus creating a distinct workload, including mental workload. To determine the extent of the students' mental workload, measurements were conducted using the NASA-TLX (National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index) method with 6 indicators. The measurement indicators were based on quantitative courses. This study involved 40 respondents who were students of the Industrial Engineering Study Program at Udayana University. The results showed that the mental workload on students was quite high, as evidenced by 23 out of 40 students in the synchronous method group and quantitative courses having a high WWL (Workload Weighting Level) classification. A high WWL classification was also shown in the asynchronous method group, with 26 students or 65%.]]>

<![CDATA[The study, titled "Analysis of Factors Affecting Safety at Merak Port," aims to identify and analyze key factors influencing operational safety at Merak Port. This port is a strategic route linking Java and Sumatra, serving millions of passengers and vehicles annually. However, high activity levels and operational complexity present significant safety challenges. This research employs a qualitative case study approach, combining interviews, field observations, and document analysis. Quantitative data were also collected via questionnaires distributed to operators, workers, and passengers. Findings reveal that human factors, weather conditions, and infrastructure are critical to safety. Incidents in 2023, such as the KMP Royce 1 fire and a crane accident, underscore the need for enhanced risk management and infrastructure maintenance. The study concludes that gaps in safety training and compliance with safety procedures are key challenges. Additionally, extreme weather and suboptimal heavy equipment conditions increase operational risks. Recommendations include improving safety management practices, enhancing infrastructure maintenance, and providing regular training for workers to strengthen operational safety at Merak Port.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dampak dari pertumbuhan penjualan, intensitas aset, kualitas audit, dan profitabilitas terhadap penghindaran pajak di perusahaan-perusahaan pertambangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) selama periode 2021-2023. Penghindaran pajak diartikan sebagai strategi yang digunakan perusahaan untuk mengurangi kewajiban pajak melalui perencanaan pajak yang sah, meskipun sering kali berdampak pada penurunan penerimaan negara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan memanfaatkan data sekunder dari laporan keuangan perusahaan yang terdaftar di BEI. Untuk analisis data, digunakan regresi linier berganda guna mengidentifikasi pengaruh variabel independen yaitu pertumbuhan penjualan, intensitas aset, kualitas audit dan profitabilitas, dan terhadap variabel dependen, yaitu penghindaran pajak. Pengukuran penghindaran pajak dilakukan dengan menggunakan proxy effective tax rate (ETR). Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan bukti empiris mengenai faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi penghindaran pajak dalam sektor pertambangan di Indonesia, serta menjadi acuan bagi manajemen perusahaan dalam merumuskan strategi pengelolaan pajak.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine whether there is a significant difference between Millennials and Generation Z during the quarter-life crisis phase living in Bandung. The research uses the Self-compassion theory proposed by Neff (2003). Self-compassion, which includes the aspects of self-kindness, common humanity, and mindfulness, plays a crucial role in helping individuals cope with life pressures, failures, and identity crises. Both generations face different challenges in terms of education, career, and social relationships, which potentially impact their psychological well-being. Using a quantitative approach, this research involves interviews with individuals from both generations to analyze differences in Self-compassion levels when facing various quarter-life crisis issues. The measurement tool used is the standardized Self-compassion Scale (SCS), consisting of 26 items translated by Sugianto et al. (2020). The hypothesis was tested using an Independent T-test, and the results showed a significance value of p < 0.001. The sub-dimensions showed self-kindness p = 0.045, common humanity p = 0.002, and mindfulness p = 0.003, indicating a significant difference between Millennials and Generation Z during the quarter-life crisis phase in Bandung City.]]>

<![CDATA[The Law on the Juvenile Justice System in Indonesia has been designed to prioritize the protection of children through the implementation of restorative and diversion approaches. The primary aim of this approach is to enable children involved in legal issues to be reintegrated into society and to have a better chance for their future. However, data shows that many juvenile criminal cases end with imprisonment, which contradicts the goals of this Law. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize the juvenile justice system to achieve fair sentencing. This research employs a normative legal method with a descriptive-analytical approach and utilizes a statutory approach to analyze the Law and related regulations. Data was collected through literature study, including both primary and secondary data. The analysis was conducted qualitatively to provide a comprehensive understanding. Diversion, as a restorative justice effort, serves to protect children and resolve cases outside the formal judicial process, while the author emphasizes the need for improvements in the rehabilitation of juvenile offenders to prevent reoffending.]]>

<![CDATA[Although copyright laws have provided a framework for protecting musical works, advancements in technology that facilitate access to and distribution of music also create new risks related to copyright infringement. The existing challenges, coupled with the suboptimal regulatory environment, highlight the need for efforts to enhance the protection of song copyrights in digital content. This research aims to analyze the legal protection mechanisms against copyright infringement of songs that occur in the use of digital content. The methodology employed is normative legal research with a legislative approach, utilizing primary data from applicable regulations and secondary data from relevant legal literature. Through qualitative analysis, this study seeks to provide a deeper understanding of how the law protects copyright and how the government addresses the challenges arising in the digital era concerning artistic works in Indonesia. With this understanding, it is hoped that more effective measures can be identified to protect copyright and promote compliance with existing regulations in the music industry.]]>

<![CDATA[Java Island has the most dense population in Indonesia. This is in line with the number of marriages and divorces that occur. One of the factors causing divorce is violence that occurs in the household. Violence is a physical act that often occurs in the scope of life. Based on the data obtained, there are 14 factors for divorce in Indonesia. factors include adultery, drunkenness, madness, gambling, death of one of the parties, imprisonment, polygamy, domestic violence, physical disability, continuous disputes and quarrels, forced marriage, apostasy, economics, and so on. On the island of Java, there are 4 factors that cause the highest number of divorces, namely disputes and quarrels, the economy, the death of a spouse and domestic violence. Handling and efforts to prevent domestic violence cases need to be the attention of parties who have the authority to resolve them and no longer become a serious problem in the household and surrounding environment.]]>

<![CDATA[In modern life, buying and selling activities typically involve three main parties: the first party as the seller, the second party as the buyer, and the third party, who may act as a witness or guarantor. Given the involvement of multiple parties, it is often necessary to issue a power of attorney to ensure the smoothness and legality of the transaction process. However, abuse of authority under the granted power of attorney frequently occurs, as seen in Cirebon District Court Case No. 104/PDT.G/2012/PN.Cbn. This study explores the legal consequences of abuse of authority under a power of attorney, focusing on the Cirebon District Court Case No. 104/PDT.G/2012/PN.Cbn. The research employs a normative juridical method to examine relevant legal regulations and principles of Indonesian civil law. The findings indicate that acts by an attorney that exceed the scope of the granted authority can render the power of attorney null and void by law, and the defendant’s actions of selling the plaintiff’s land, exceeding the authority of the power of attorney, may be deemed a violation that harms the principal. Furthermore, such abuse also creates legal uncertainty for the parties involved. These findings reinforce the importance of limiting powers in order to maintain legal certainty and protect the principal. In conclusion, there is a need for supervision and regulatory updates in the use of powers of attorney in Indonesia to prevent abuse.]]>

<![CDATA[The development of the times has led to significant growth in goods and services, resulting in the emergence of new works within these fields. However, in certain conditions, this has given rise to issues concerning brand usage, where individuals or business actors intentionally use the trademarks of other registered companies, particularly those that are well-known and large-scale, to gain specific business advantages in unethical ways that conflict with the law. This is exemplified by the case of an Indonesian citizen named Melinda Oktavia, who used the trademark Electro-Voice—a prominent brand from the United States—without obtaining permission from the original company. The analysis of Legal Provisions and the Application of the First-to-File System in Registered Trademark Cancellation Cases aims to examine the legal provisions and the implementation of the first-to-file system in handling foreign trademark cancellation cases, specifically focusing on the Electro-Voice case. This study employs a normative approach. The research findings reveal that the legal protection provided by the Trademark Law in Indonesia is highly relevant but still causes confusion when linked to foreign famous trademarks, particularly given that infringement of foreign trademark rights intersects with international law and can harm the owner financially and in terms of reputation. In the outcome of the Electro-Voice case, the measures taken by the court signal a positive indication that Indonesian law is capable of protecting well-known trademarks.]]>
