Abstract

Based on a preliminary survey conducted by researchers on toddlers in the Rambah Hilir II Health Center Working Area of Rokan Hulu Regency, there were 10 toddlers who had difficulty eating. Difficulty eating causes several eating problems that often arise, including: fussiness, vomiting, being too picky, eating phobia, eating slowly, and refusing food. Eating difficulties can be treated with non-pharmacological treatment, namely Tui Na Massage. This massage can improve blood circulation in the spleen and digestion. This method uses pressure on the body's meridian points or energy flow lines, so that appetite will increase. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Tui Na Massage on eating difficulties in toddlers in the Rambah Hilir II Health Center Working Area, Rokan Hulu Regency. This type of research is quantitative research with a Pre-Experimental research design without a control group using the one-group Pretest and posttest approach. The sample in the study consisted of 10 respondents. The average value of respondents' eating difficulties before and after Tui Na Massage was 1,400 with a standard deviation of 0.240 and a standard error of 0.076, with the results of the T dependent test obtained p value = 0.000 <0.05; this means p value <0.05. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of Tui Na Massage on eating difficulties in toddlers in the Working Area of Rambah Hilir II Health Center, Rokan Hulu Regency. It is expected that after the research is conducted, the respondent parents can increase their knowledge about Tui Na Massage and its massage techniques to help overcome eating difficulties in toddlers with non-pharmacological treatment.

Abstract

The Emergency Department (ED) plays a vital role in hospitals, requiring nurses to act swiftly and accurately under pressure. However, high workloads and psychological stress make ED nurses particularly vulnerable to burnout syndrome. Burnout can lead to decreased service quality, impaired concentration, reduced empathy, and increased risk of medical errors. This study aims to identify factors influencing burnout among ED nurses through a systematic review using the PICOS framework (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcomes, Study Design). A literature search was conducted from May to June 2025 across four databases—Google Scholar, PubMed, DOAJ, and Science Direct—using keywords in both Indonesian and English. Out of 4,034 articles, 13 met the inclusion criteria. The review identified several contributing factors, including workload, employment duration, age, gender, coping strategies, education level, job demands, emotional intelligence, role conflict, social support, work environment, adaptability, patient case types, health status, self-care, staff shortages, job repetition, and compensation. Among these, workload and employment duration emerged as the most significant contributors. To reduce burnout, it is crucial to manage nurse workloads, align tasks with expertise, and implement flexible scheduling and leave policies. These measures can help preserve the well-being and performance of ED nurses in their critical roles

Abstract

Proper umbilical cord care is essential to prevent infections in newborns, and a mother’s knowledge and behavior are crucial factors influencing this practice. This study aimed to determine the relationship between postpartum mothers’ knowledge and their umbilical cord care behavior in newborns at the Kepenuhan Community Health Center. A quantitative method with a cross-sectional design was used. The study employed a total sampling technique, including all 30 postpartum mothers in the population. Data were collected using a 30-question questionnaire and analyzed with univariate and bivariate analysis, specifically the Chi-Square test. The findings revealed that the majority of mothers had good knowledge (66.7%), and 50% demonstrated good care behavior. The Chi-Square test result (p=0.020) indicated a significant relationship between knowledge and care behavior. The study concludes that there is a positive association between a mother’s knowledge and her behavior in umbilical cord care, suggesting that increased awareness can directly improve neonatal health outcomes. The results highlight the importance of targeted health education, particularly during antenatal and postnatal visits, to ensure that mothers receive accurate information and practical guidance. Strengthening the role of healthcare workers, especially midwives, in providing consistent counseling and demonstrations is recommended. Furthermore, the findings can serve as a basis for health centers to design community-based interventions that involve families in newborn care. By enhancing maternal knowledge and skills, preventable neonatal infections can be reduced, thereby supporting broader efforts to lower infant morbidity and mortality rates.

Abstract

The management of incoming and outgoing mail at the Public Welfare Bureau of the North Sumatra Provincial Secretariat is currently done manually by recording it in an agenda book. Mail distribution is also done directly, and mail archiving is collected in one place, which often causes various problems, such as delays in mail distribution, difficulties in finding mail, and the risk of losing important mail. This study aims to design and develop a web-based document management system to support more efficient, faster, and secure administrative processes. The system development method used is the waterfall model. The system is built using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. System testing results indicate that it can simplify the processes of recording, searching, distributing, and reporting incoming and outgoing documents through faster digitalization. With the implementation of this system, it is hoped that the Social Welfare Bureau of the Provincial Government of North Sumatra can manage letters more effectively and efficiently, thereby supporting the central government's digital transformation program
