The existence of peat soil with unfavorable properties has caused several problems that can arise and affect the construction conditions on the soil layer. This unfavorable soil condition is not favorable for civil buildings and if without proper planning will impact the strength and safety of the building. So it is necessary to analyze data using experimental methods in research that begins with investigating soil characteristics at the research location and investigations in the laboratory based on test data in the laboratory for further geotechnical analysis. Classification of peat soil at the research location of South Pontianak and Southeast Pontianak Districts based on test results, can be determined as follows: a. Based on ash content, the peat soil is Medium ash, which is peat soil with ash content between 5% and 15%. b. Based on the absorption level, peat soil is included in the Moderately absorbent and Highly absorbent types, where peat soil can hold 300 – 1500% water. c. Based on the level of maturity (Von Post Classification System), in this study 3 layers of conditions were obtained, namely surface, 50cm and 100cm. In general, for the surface layer, peat soil is classified as sapric, the 50 cm layer is classified as hemic and the 100 cm layer is classified as fibric.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus shows a significant upward trend and is increasingly found in younger age groups, including adolescents. The 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (SKI) reported a prevalence of diabetes mellitus of 11.7% in people aged ≥15 years, reflecting the high national burden of this disease. Regionally, Bali is among the 10 provinces with the highest number of diabetes cases in Indonesia, with an increase in cases from 30,856 to 45,710 in 2024. The results of blood sugar screening by the Bali Provincial Health Office for the period January–May 2025 also showed cases of diabetes in adolescents aged 15–17 years, where 23 of 3,727 adolescents were confirmed to have diabetes and 259 had prediabetes, with the highest number of cases found in Klungkung Regency. Lack of knowledge about prevention is one of the factors that can potentially increase the risk of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adolescents. This study aims to describe the characteristics of respondents and the level of knowledge of adolescents about the prevention of type 2 diabetes mellitus at SMA Negeri 1 Semarapura. The study used a descriptive design with adolescent respondents. The results showed that most respondents were 17 years old (40.6%), female (56.7%), had no family history of diabetes (94.5%), and accessed health information through the internet (45.1%). The level of knowledge was dominated by the good category (90.1%). These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening school-based health education as an early prevention measure for type 2 diabetes mellitus in adolescents

Adherence to Antiretroviral therapy (ARV) in People with HIV/AIDS (ODHA) is an important factor in suppressing viral replication and improving patients' quality of life. However, compliance is often low due to a lack of understanding and motivation. Health education is seen as an effective strategy to improve patient adherence to ARV therapy. This study uses a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The research sample of 44 ODHA respondents was selected using a simple random sampling technique. Interventions in the form of health education about HIV/AIDS, the importance of ARV therapy, the benefits of adherence, and the risk of non-compliance were provided through interactive counseling. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test to see differences in compliance before and after education. Before the intervention, all respondents (100%) were in the low compliance category. After the intervention, most respondents (86.4%) improved to moderate adherence. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed that none of the respondents experienced a decrease in compliance (negative ranks = 0), all respondents (positive ranks = 44) experienced an increase, with a value of Z = -6.289 and a p-value = 0.000 (p < 0.05). The results of the study prove that health education has a significant influence on increasing ARV therapy adherence in ODHA. Comprehensive education is able to increase knowledge, awareness, and motivation of patients to be more consistent in undergoing therapy. Thus, health education needs to be used as a routine intervention in HIV/AIDS control programs in primary services.

Hepatitis A represents a significant public health concern among student populations in Indonesia with considerably high prevalence rates. This study aimed to identify and analyze factors associated with hepatitis A prevention among students through systematic literature review. A systematic review was conducted on 20 research articles published between 2020-2024 using cross-sectional, case-control, and pre-experimental designs with total samples ranging from 36 to 835,256 respondents. Factors demonstrating the strongest associations included handwashing with soap behavior (OR=7.90), personal hygiene (OR=5.71), history of contact with patients (OR=9.92), unsafe food consumption (OR=10.545), unhygienic toilet use (OR=10.500), and communal eating habits (OR=21.48). Knowledge showed significant correlation with prevention practices (p<0.05), while attitude demonstrated inconsistent results. Immunization status emerged as the most effective protective factor with risk reduction up to 94.4% (OR=0.056). Socioeconomic factors and school environmental conditions served as structural determinants. Hepatitis A prevention among students requires a comprehensive multi-level approach integrating health education, school sanitation improvement, food safety monitoring, clean and healthy lifestyle promotion, and vaccination programs

Advances in digital technology have made social media one of the main channels for disseminating health information to the public. This study aims to examine the influence of social media and health literacy levels on increasing early awareness of complications in people with diabetes mellitus. Social media acts as an interactive platform that facilitates the dissemination of knowledge, education, and the exchange of experiences between individuals in managing diabetes. However, the successful use of social media is highly dependent on the health literacy of users. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, where data is collected through a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire (1 = strongly disagree to 5 = strongly agree). The study population consists of students aged 18–20 years from the 2024 and 2025 cohorts, with a sample size of 77 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument covered three main variables, namely social media use, health literacy, and early awareness of diabetes complications. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression analysis to determine the influence between variables. The results of the study indicate that wise use of social media and a high level of health literacy have a positive and significant effect on increasing early awareness of diabetes mellitus complications. Individuals with good literacy are better able to select valid information, understand the risks of complications such as retinopathy, nephropathy, and diabetic neuropathy, and independently implement preventive measures. The overall Cronbach's alpha coefficient (0.773) is greater than 0.60, so with a significance level or α = 5%, the questionnaire is reliable (consistent). Therefore, synergy between health workers, educational institutions, and policymakers is needed to maximize the role of social media as a reliable and effective means of health education

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that affects children’s physical growth and cognitive development. Factors influencing stunting include exclusive breastfeeding practices, family income, maternal occupation, and maternal education. Optimal exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life has been proven to prevent stunting. However, stunting cases are still found in Lebak Parahiang Village, Leuwidamar District, thus research on these factors is necessary. To determine the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding, family income, maternal occupation, and maternal education with stunting among children aged 6–24 months in Lebak Parahiang Village in 2025. This study used a quantitative approach with an analytical observational design and a cross-sectional method. The population was all children aged 6–24 months in Lebak Parahiang Village, with 71 samples determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires and anthropometric measurements. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate analysis with the Chi-Square test. The results showed that most mothers practiced exclusive breastfeeding for more than six months; however, some children still experienced growth retardation. Statistical analysis revealed a significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding, family income, maternal occupation, maternal education, and stunting (p < 0.05). Strengthening maternal education regarding the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, improving child feeding practices, and providing continuous support from health workers are recommended. Regular child growth monitoring and family-based interventions should be enhanced by health authorities and local government to reduce stunting prevalence.
