Abstract

Space and form are one of the contents of mathematical literacy in PISA, which is included in the learning of geometry material. Learning abstract geometry, especially spatial geometry, will be an obstacle in education, so spatial abilities are needed. However, before using spatial abilities to imagine space and form, it is necessary to have reading skills manifested in reading interest. Therefore, this research needs to be done to open the minds of readers and provide information that interest in reading affects spatial abilities, so that government policies on reading habituation at the beginning of learning time can be preserved and even improved through other activities. This study aimed to determine how reading interest affects the spatial ability and how much reading interest affects spatial ability. This research is quantitative. The research subjects were the Mathematics Education Study Program students at Ivet University. Data collection techniques used are tests and scales. The research instrument is a reading interest scale and spatial ability test questions. The data analysis technique used is the normality test and regression test. The results of this study are the influence of reading interest on spatial ability, and reading interest affects the spatial ability of 52.5%. Keywords: reading interest, spatial ability, geometry

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas model pembelajaran Think Pair Share dengan komik matematika ditinjau dari kemampuan memecahkan masalah matematis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain Posttest-Only Control Design. Ukuran sampel adalah 68 siswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Tes Pemecahan Masalah Matematika. Teknik analisis data digunakan dengan menggunakan uji statistik parametrik yaitu uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kemampuan memecahkan masalah matematis, model pembelajaran model Think Pair Share dengan menggunakan komik matematika lebih efektif daripada pembelajaran Think Pair Share tanpa menggunakan komik. Berkaitan dengan ini komik dapat digunakan sebagai alternatrif dalam pemilihan media pada pembelajaran matematika. Kata kunci: Think Pair Share, komik, kemampuan memecahkan masalah matematis. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to study the learning model of Paired Thinking Sharing with mathematical comics in terms of mathematical problem-solving skills. The research method used is an experiment with the design of Posttest-Only Control Design. The sample size was 68 students taken using cluster random sampling technique. The instrument used in this study is the mathematical problem-solving test. Data analysis technique used by using parametric statistical test is t-test. The results of the study show that , Think Pair Share learning model by using mathematical comics is more effective to solve mathematical problems than Think Pair Share learning without using comics. It is recommended to use comics as an alternative in selecting media in mathematics learning. Keywords: Think Pair Share, comic, mathematical problem solving skill.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang dikombinasikan dengan menulis matematika terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan tinjauan kemampuan awal matematis siswa dengan kategori tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan satu kelompok eksperimen dengan perlakukan model pembelajarann berbasis masalah yang dikombinasikan dengan menulis matematika dan satu kelompok kontrol yang hanya diberikan perlakukan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Metode pengumpulan data terdiri dari tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis variansi dua jalan sel tidak sama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang dikombinasikan dengan menulis matematika lebih baik daripada kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang hanya menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah secara umum maupun berdasarkan kategori kemampuan awal matematis. Ditinjau dari kategori kemampuan awal matematis, siswa kategori tinggi dan sedang menunjukkan tidak adanya perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang signifikan, sedangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kategori tinggi dan sedang lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kategori rendah. Kata kunci: pembelajaran berbasis masalah, menulis matematika, kemampuan pemecahan masalah, kemampuan awal matematis. ABSTRACT This study aims to look at the effect of problem-based learning models combined with mathematical writing on problem solving abilities with a review of students' mathematical early capabilities in high, medium, and low categories. This research is a quasi-experimental study using one experimental group with the treatment of problem-based learning models combined with writing mathematics and a control group that is only given the treatment of problem-based learning models. Data collection methods consist of tests of mathematical problem solving abilities. Data analysis techniques using two path analysis of variance are not the sam cell. The results showed that the problem-solving ability of students who use problem-based learning models combined with writing mathematics is better than the problem-solving abilities of students who only use problem-based learning models in general or by the category of mathematical early ability. Judging from the early mathematical ability category, high and medium category students showed no significant difference in problem solving abilities while the problem solving ability of high and medium category students was better when compared to the problem solving ability of low category students. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan aktivitas siswa. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa di kelas VIII yang berjumlah 33 siswa. Prosedur penelitian menggunakan dua siklus dengan metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data yaitu metode tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif persentase.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase untuk pemahaman konsep ditunjukkan dengan hasil belajar, pada siklus I siswa yang memperoleh kriteria tuntas mencapai 72,73% dan pada siklus II mencapai 87,88%. Sedangkan keaktifan klasikal untuk kriteria aktif pada siklus I mencapai 59,09% dan pada siklus II mencapai 68,94%. Untuk hasil akhir aktivitas siswa adalah tergolong kiteria cukup aktif.Dengan demikian, pemahaman konsep dan aktivitas siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui implementasi model problem based learning. Kata kunci: pemahaman konsep; aktivitas; model problem based learning ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to improve mathematics learning quality and students’ activity. Sample of this research were 33 students of grade 8th. Data collection method used in this research are two cycle of test, observation and documentation, the data was analyzed by descriptive precentage.The result shows that the percetage of concept understanding is represented by students’ achievement.Students which have passed the KKM is 72,73% in 1st cycle, and 87,88% in 2nd cycle.Students which active during mathematic lesson is 59,09% in 1st cycle and 68,94% in 2nd cycle.Thus, students’ activity and understanding conceptcan be improved by implementing problem based learning. Abstract

The mosque is the result of acculturation between Islamic culture and local culture. Many mosque ornaments use geometric motifs. This research is an ethnomathematics study that aims to explore the ethnomathematics aspects of mosque ornament, especially the material of geometric transformation Ethnomathematics research is part of qualitative research, so this research uses qualitative research. The purpose of ethnomathematics research is to study the mathematical ideas contained in a culture, so the method used is ethnographic. The research location is Masjid Raya Bandung which was selected by purposive sampling. The researcher acts as an instrument that collects data through observation, documentation, and literature review. The research data were analyzed through data condensation, data display, and concluding. The results showed that there are ethnomathematics aspects of Masjid Raya Bandung ornaments in the material of transformation geometry, namely translation, reflection, rotation, and dilation. The mosque ornaments can be used as an alternative source of learning in mathematics learning, especially transformation geometry material. Abstract

Teknik SCAMPER awalnya banyak digunakan di ruang lingkup perusahaan untuk menciptakan produk-produk baru. Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman, teknik SCAMPER kini digunakan sebagai teknik pelatihan berpikir kreatif di berbagai bidang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas teknik SCAMPER dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam matematika. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu SMP di Tangerang Selatan pada siswa kelas IX tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan randomized post-test only control group design. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan terdiri dari 30 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 30 siswa kelas kontrol yang dipilih secara acak dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes berupa soal uraian untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis yang meliputi indikator: 1) fluency, 2) flexibility, dan 3) originality. Analisis data didasarkan pada perbedaan dua proporsi yaitu proporsi ketuntasan belajar siswa yang diuji dengan Chi-Square Test pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa teknik SCAMPER efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Selain itu, teknik SCAMPER juga lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini dapat dijadikan rujukan bagi guru tentang penggunaan teknik SCAMPER sebagai teknik pembelajaran yang efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis. Kata kunci: Teknik SCAMPER, fluency, flexibility, originality. ABSTRACT The SCAMPER technique was originally widely used in the company's scope to create new products. But now SCAMPER technique is used as a creative thinking training in various fields. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of SCAMPER techniques in developing mathematics creative thinking skills. This research was conducted to IX grade junior high school students in South Tangerang in 2017/2018 academic year. The research uses quasi experiment with randomized post-test only control group design. The samples were 30 students of experimental class and 30 students of control class which were selected randomly by cluster random sampling technique. The research instrument used was a test of a description to measure the ability of mathematical creative thinking which assesses 3 indicators. They are 1) fluency, 2) flexibility, and 3) originality. The research wants to know about two mastery learning proportions difference tested with Chi-Square Test at 5% significance level. The results are SCAMPER technique is effective in developing students' mathematical creative thinking ability. In addition, SCAMPER technique is more effective than conventional learning. This research can be used by teachers as an effective learning techniques in developing the ability of mathematical creative thinking. Key words: SCAMPER technique, fluency, flexibility, originality.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain an e-book based on the Realistic Mathematics Education (PMR) approach that is valid, practical, and effective so that it can improve students' mathematical communication skills on the Two-Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV) material. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model which consists of five stages, namely analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research instruments used were questionnaire and instrument validation sheets, lesson plans validation sheets, e-book validation sheets, mathematical communication skills tests, and student and teacher response questionnaires to e-books. Based on the research, the results of the RPP validation were obtained with a percentage of 88% (very valid), e-book validation with a percentage of 82% for material, and 90% for media with a very valid category. The results of student responses with the percentage of the practicality of 86% (very practical) and the teacher's response questionnaire with the percentage of the practicality of 86% (very practical). The results obtained by meeting the effective criteria with a classical student learning completeness score of 96%, more than 65% of students achieving 75% of the learning objectives for each indicator, and the learning time is the same as ordinary learning in field trials and student responses are good to the e-book provided. developed. Through the Gain test, it is seen that students' mathematical communication skills using e-books based on the PMR approach have increased by 0.7, meaning that they are in the high category. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi kemampuan metakognisi siswa SD dalam pemecahan masalah berdasarkan disposisi matematis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan eksploratif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 siswa kelas V yang masing-masing memiliki disposisi matematis rendah, disposisi matematis sedang, dan disposisi matematis tinggi. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah angket/kuisioner, Tes Kemampuan Metakognisi (TKM), pedoman wawancara, dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Milles dan Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan trianggulasi teknik yaitu dengan cara mengambil data yang sama dengan teknik yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek dengan disposisi matematis rendah kurang mampu merencanakan, memonitor, dan mengevaluasi. Subjek dengan disposisi matematis sedang mampu merencanakan, memonitor, dan mengevaluasi. Subjek dengan disposisi matematis tinggi sangat mampu merencanakan, memonitor, dan mengevaluasi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah tingkan disposisi matematis siswa mempengaruhi kemampuan metakognisi siswa SD dalam pemecahan masalah. Kata kunci: metakognisi, pemecahan masalah, disposisi matematis. ABSTRACT The objective of this study is to identify the metacognition abilities of elementary school students in problem solving based on mathematical dispositions. This research is a qualitative research with an explorative approach. The subjects in this study were 3 students from 5th grade with a low, medium, and high mathematical disposition. Questionnaire, Metacognition Ability Test (MAT), interview guidelines, and observation sheets are used in this study to get the data. Data analysis techniques used is the Milles and Huberman models, which are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The data validity is checkec by using technical transcription by taking the same data with different techniques. The results are subject with low mathematical dispositions is not able to plan, monitor, and evaluate. Subject with mathematical dispositions is able to plan, monitor, and evaluate. Subject with high mathematical dispositions is very capable in planning, monitoring, and evaluating. The conclusion of this study is student’s mathematical disposition affects the ability of elementary school students in problem solving. Abstract

The metacognitive ability of students is low in using and applying the knowledge that has been learned, managing the information obtained, choosing the right strategy, and developing an effective strategy as the basis for carrying out research. This qualitative study aims to describe the metacognitive abilities of junior high school students in solving numeracy problems related to Numbers Data & Uncertainty materials. The research subjects were three grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Salatiga who were selected by purposive sampling technique. The criteria for selecting the subject are able to solve questions 1?4 using appropriate, communicative, and commitment strategies to become a subject. The data were collected through a written test in the form of AKM (Minimum Competency Assessment) simulation numeration questions and interviews according to indicators of metacognitive ability. There are aspects of metacognitive abilities that are observed, namely planning, monitoring, and evaluating. The results of the study of the three subjects carried out two indicators of the planning, namely students could plan the objectives to be carried out and sequence the stages of the strategy to be carried out. Indicators carried out by the subject at the monitoring are that students can perform careful calculations and indicators that have not been implemented are students checking answers from the results and correcting errors. In the evaluation three subjects carried out two indicators, namely, the students were able to assess the results and re-evaluate the objectives. Abstract

Peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa dapat diketahui melalui nilai akhir mahasiswa. Salah satu kemampuan afektif mahasiswa dapat dilihat melalui SelfDirectedLearningmahasiswa. Kemampuan kognitif mahasiswa dapat di ukur melalui nilai UTS dan juga nilai UAS. Tingkat kognitif mahasiswa tidak sama sehingga pengukuran peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa memerlukan kecermatan dan ketelitian. Selain dari kemampuan kognitif mahasiwa peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa bisa di tinjau melalui SelfDirectedLearningmahasiswa dalam melaksanakan proses belajar mengajar. Aljabar linear merupakan salah satu mata kuliah dasar pada program studi D3 Manajemen Informatika yang mengarahkan mahasiswa mampu untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan matematis dalam kehidupan sehari – hari dan mampu untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir matematis pada mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode literatur, metode tes dan metode dokumentasi dengan mengambil data volume nilai. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur hasil belajar aljabar linear mahasiswa yang ditinjau dari SelfDirectedLearning mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknis analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah anava dengan aplikasi SPSS. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh antara Self Directed Learning terhadap Hasil belajar Aljabar Linear, hal ini ditunjukkan bahwa ada perubahan nilai aljabar oleh Self Directed learning. Dalam proses analisis data dinyatakan pada nilai p value kurang dari 0,005 dan dengan persamaan regresi Y = 0,009 X + 88,651, dimana Y sebagai hasil nilai Aljabar Linear dan X sebagai Self Directed Learning. Dengan adanya analisis statistik tersebut dapat terlihat adanya peningkatan hasil belajar Aljabar Linear melalui Self Directed Learning, namun masih diperlukan pengembangan bahan ajar supaya pembelajaran bisa berjalan lebih efektif. Dengan adanya analisis statistik tersebut dapat terlihat adanya peningkatan hasil belajar Aljabar Linear melalui Self Directed Learning, namun masih diperlukan pengembangan bahan ajar supaya pembelajaran bisa berjalan lebih efektif. Kata kunci, Self Directed Learning, Aljabar Linear ABSTRACT Improved student learning outcomes can be known through the student's final grade. One of the affective abilities of students can be seen through Self-Directed Learning students. Student cognitive abilities can be measured through midterm grades and also midterm grades. Student cognitive levels are not the same, so measuring improvement in student learning outcomes requires precision and accuracy. Aside from the cognitive abilities of students the improvement in student learning outcomes can be reviewed through Self-Directed Learning students in implementing the teaching and learning process. Linear algebra is one of the basic courses in the D3 Informatics Management study program that directs students to be able to solve mathematical problems in their daily lives and is able to improve their mathematical thinking abilities. The method used in this research is the literature method, test method and documentation method by taking data volume values. The purpose of this study is to measure the results of student linear algebra learning in terms of Self-Directed Learning students. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study with data analysis techniques used in this study is anava with SPSS applications. The results of this study are that there is an influence between Self Directed Learning on Linear Algebra learning outcomes, it is shown that there is a change in the value of algebra by Self Directed learning. In the process of data analysis expressed at p value less than 0.005 and with the regression equation Y = 0.009 X + 88.651, where Y is the result of Linear Algebra and X as Self Directed Learning. With the statistical analysis it can be seen an increase in Linear Algebra learning outcomes through Self Directed Learning, but the development of teaching materials is still needed so that learning can run more effectively.
