Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dalam bidang pembelajaran, yakni pengembangan metode diskusi menjadi metode diskusi yang bermuatan presentasi sistem rotasi. Langkah-langkah pengembangan pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memodifikasi model pengembangan 4D yaitu tahap pendefinisian (define), tahap perancangan (design), tahap pengembangan (develop), dan tahap penyebaran (disseminate). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan metode diskusi bermuatan presentasi sistem rotasi yang layak (valid, praktis, dan efektif) digunakan dalam pembelajaran mata kuliah trigonometri. Uji coba penggunaan metode diskusi bermuatan presentasi sistem rotasi ini dilakukan kepada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Katolik Santu Paulus Ruteng angkatan tahun 2018. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, angket, dan wawancara. Tes digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat efektifitas dari metode diskusi bermuatan presentasi sistem rotasi yang diberikan kepada mahasiswa. Angket digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat kevalidan dan tingkat kepraktisan dari metode diskusi bermuatan presentasi sistem rotasi. Angket kevalidan diberikan kepada 2 orang ahli pada bidang pendidikan matematika, sedangkan angket kepraktisan diberikan kepada mahasiswa setelah mereka mengikuti perkuliahan trigonometri yang menggunakan metode diskusi bermuatan presentasi sistem rotasi. Wawancara dilakukan untuk mendapatkan infromasi langsung terkait masalah yang dihadapi atau dialami oleh mahasiswa selama mengikuti perkuliahan trigonometri sebelum menggunakan metode diskusi bermuatan presentasi sistem rotasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa metode diskusi bermuatan presentasi sistem rotasi yang telah dikembangkan ini dinyatakan layak (valid, praktis, dan efektif). Dengan menerapakan metode diskusi bermuatan presentasi sistem rotasi pada pembelajaran mata kuliah trigonometri, seluruh mahasiswa aktif selama proses pembelajaran melalui keterlibatan setiap mahasiswa pada tahap presentasi karena mekanisme presentasi menggunakan sistem rotasi. Oleh karena itu, maka metode diskusi bermuatan presentasi sistem rotasi ini dapat digunakan secara luas kepada kelas-kelas lain pada pembelajaran mata kuliah trigonometri. ABSTRACT This research is a development research in the field of learning, namely the development of discussion methods into a discussion method that contains rotation system presentations. The development steps in this study were done by modifying the 4D development model, namely defining, designing, developing and disseminate. This study aims to produce a discussion method that contains a proper (valid, practical, and effective) rotation system presentation used in trigonometry learning. The trial using the discussion method with the presentation of the rotation system was carried out to students of the Mathematics Education Study Program FKIP Santu Paulus Ruteng Catholic University in 2018. The instruments of data collection used were tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The test is used to determine the level of effectiveness of the discussion method with a rotation system presentation given to students. Questionnaire is used to determine the level of validity and practicality of the discussion method with a rotation system presentation. The validity questionnaire was given to 2 experts in the field of mathematics education, while the practicality questionnaire was given to students after they took the trigonometry lecture using a discussion method with a rotation system presentation. Interviews were conducted to obtain direct information regarding problems faced or experienced by students during their trigonometry lectures before using the discussion method with a rotation system presentation. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that the discussion method with the presentation of the rotation system that had been developed was declared feasible (valid, practical, and effective). By applying the discussion method with the presentation of the rotation system to trigonometric course learning, all students are active during the learning process through the involvement of each student at the presentation stage because the presentation mechanism uses a rotation system. Therefore, the method of discussion containing rotation system presentations can be used widely to other classes in trigonometry learning. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal kemampuan koneksi matematis pada materi bangun datar segi empat, subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VIII dari salah satu SMP Negri di Cimahi sebanyak 29 siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, instrumen yang digunakan yaitu sebanyak empat butir soal dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal kemampuan koneksi matematis pada materi bangun datar segi empat untuk setiap indikatornya masih tinggi. Pada indikator pertama yaitu mengidentifikasi hubungan berbagai representasi konsep dan prosedur matematika pada soal nomor tiga memperoleh persentase kesalahan sebesar 63%. Untuk indikator kedua yaitu mengidentifikasi hubungan satu prosedur ke prosedur lain dalam represen-tasi yang ekuivalen pada soal nomor satu memperolah persentase kesalahan sebesar 24% dan soal nomor empat memperoleh persentase kesalahan sebesar 40%. Dan indikator ketiga yaitu menjelaskan penerapan topik matematika dalam masalah kehidupan sehari-hari pada soal nomor dua memperoleh persentase kesalahan sebesar 43% Kata kunci: Analisis kesalahan, Kemampuan koneksi matematis, Bangun datar segi empat

Abstract

Ada beberapa hal untuk mempengaruhi siswa untuk belajar, dua diantaranya adalah prestasi dan minat. Guru harus dapat mngembangkan prestasi dan minat siswa untuk belajar matematika. Pembelajaran Kolaboratif Berbasis Masalah dapat menjadi salah satu cara yang bisa digunakan untuk meningkatkan prestasi dan minat siswa. Pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis masalah merupakan gabungan antara Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah yang dilaksanakan secara kolaboratif. Berawal dengan menggunakan masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis masalah ini dimulai dengan (1) Formulate; (2) Share; (3) Listen; dan (4) Create. Abstract

When learning in school when students are given a problem, of course each student gives a different answer, this shows that each student has a different intelligence in solving this problem. We call these different intelligences as multiple intelligence. Each question must of course be solved with intelligence, especially in learning mathematics, students often find it difficult to solve problems in the form of stories that are related to everyday life. Connecting problems in mathematics with everyday life is one indicator of the ability to connect mathematics. Indirectly, students who have difficulty solving math problems associated with everyday life cause the students to have low mathematical connection skills. This study aims to see whether there is a relationship between multiple intelligence and students' mathematical connection abilities. The research method used is an associative quantitative research method with the spearman rank correlation test. The instruments in this study were a statement questionnaire to measure multiple intelligence and a test question instrument to measure students' mathematical connection abilities. This study involved 97 samples from class VIII students at SMP Puspanegara Citeureup. The results of the analysis in this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between multiple intelligence and the Mathematical Connection Ability of grade VIII students at SMP Puspanegara Citeureup. This is evidenced by the coefficient of the relationship between multiple intelligence and the students' mathematical connection ability of 0.720. Based on the interpretation of values, it shows that there is a strong relationship between multiple intelligence and the ability of mathematical connections. Abstract

Communication is one of the important skills that need to be grown and improved in learning mathematics. Improving mathematical communication ability can be carried out through the application of learning models in which there are discussion activities between students and teachers, one of which is the Student Facilitator and Explaining model. This study aims to determine whether the Student Facilitator and Explaining model in distance learning has an effect on mathematical communication ability. The experimental design used is a quasi-experimental type of posttest-only control group design with a sampling technique using cluster random sampling. The research instrument used a mathematical communication ability test on the quadrilaterals and triangles material, totaling 5 questions which had been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that the Student Facilitator and Explaining model in distance learning has a significant effect on students' mathematical communication ability by 79%. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan media komik dengan model problem posing pada mata pelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah R&D dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Kevalidan produk diperoleh melalui uji pakar dengan instrumen validasi pakar. Kepraktisan produk diperoleh melalui uji coba terbatas dengan instrumen angket. Keefektifan diperoleh melalui uji coba satu kelas dengan one grup pretest-posttest design kemudian hasilnya diuji menggunakan Paired Samples T Test. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah media komik dengan model problem posing untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Media pembelajaran dinyatakan valid berdasarkan hasil uji pakar media menunjukkan bahwa media komik termasuk kategori tinggi, pakar materi menilai media komik termasuk kategori tinggi, dan pakar pembelajaran menilai media komik termasuk kategori tinggi. Media pembelajaran dinyatakan praktis berdasarkan hasil angket respon siswa menunjukkan bahwa siswa dapat menggunakan media komik. Media pembelajaran juga dinyatakan efektif berdasarkan hasil Paired Samples T Test pretest-posttest menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar pada pretest dan posttest siswa. Kata kunci: pengembangan, komik, problem posing, kemampuan pemecahann masalah. ABSTRACT This study aims to develop and test the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of comic media with a problem-posing model on the subject of mathematics in elementary schools. The research method used was R&D with the ADDIE development model. The validity of the product was obtained through expert testing with expert validation instruments. The practicality of the product was obtained through limited trials using questionnaire instruments. Effectiveness was obtained through a one class trial with one group pretest-posttest design then the results were tested using the Paired Samples T Test. The results of this study are that comic media with problem-posing model improve mathematical problem-solving abilities. The learning media is declared valid based on the test results of media experts test showing that comic media is in the high category, material experts rate comic media as a high category, and learning experts rate comic media as a high category. Learning media are stated practical based on the results of the students’ response questionnaires indicating that students can use comic media. Learning media are also declared effective based on the results of the Paired Samples T Test pretest-posttest which shows that there are significant differences between the learning outcomes at the pretest and posttest of student. Abstract

This study aims to identify the potential of Jambi culture that can be used as a learning resource in learning mathematics. The focus of the study is to identify culture in the form of objects so that it can be observed and used as an example of modeling mathematical arithmetic concepts. Researchers used a qualitative research approach with ethnographic methods. The research findings were analyzed using descriptive analysis. Based on the findings, there are several Jambi cultures that can be used as learning resources with an ethnomathematical approach, that are; Community work, community arts and crafts, traditional ceremonies, dance movements, music rhythms, folk games, temple relics. Implementation of this research, researchers can give advice in using material culture to be used as a source of learning mathematics. The novelty in this study is that the temple heritage is a Jambi culture that has the potential to be used as a source of learning mathematics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui serta menganalisis kesulitan matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika terutama pada materi segitiga dan segiempat. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII SMP di Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes tulis berupa esai yang berjumlah 5 soal. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode analisis deskriptif, agar dapat mengetahui kesalahan dan kekeliruan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal. Pengolahan data dihitung kedalam bentuk rata-rata skor siswa yang diperoleh dengan analisis berdasarkan tahapan Van Hiele. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa ketercapaian siswa dalam memecahkan soal materi segiempat dan segitiga berdasarkan tahapan berpikir Van Hiele terbanyak berada pada tahap 1 (analisis) sebesar 87,87%. Ketercapaian berpikir pada tahapan Van Hiele yang baik baru mencapai tahapan visualisasi (tahap 0) sebesar 12,12%. Pada tahap 2 (deduksi informal) dan tahap 3 (deduksi) siswa belum mampu mencapai tahapan tersebut. Dengan demikian dapat dilihat bahwa tingkat pemahaman siswa terhadap materi segiempat dan segitiga masih tergolong rendah sehingga terdapat kesulitan dan kendala bagi siswa dalam mengerjakan soal pada materi segiempat dan segitiga berdasarkan tahapan Van Hiele. Kata kunci: kesulitan siswa, segiempat dan segitiga, tahap berpikir Van Hiele. ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to analyze student’s mathematical difficulties in solving mathematics problems, especially in quadrilateral and triangular material. The subject of this study were students of class VIII of Junior high school in Bandung. The instrument used were written tests in the form of essays consists of 5 questions. This research method uses descriptive analysis of students mistakes in solving problems. The data is analysis based on Van Hiele theory. The results of this study stated that the students' achievement in solving rectangular and triangle material problems based on Van Hiele's thinking stage was mostly in stage 1 (analysis) of 87.87%. The achievement of Van Hiele's good thinking stages has only reached the visualization stage (stage 0) of 12.12%. For stage 2 (informal deduction) and stage 3 (deduction) no student has been able to reach that stage. Thus it can be seen that the level of student understanding of rectangular and triangular material is still relatively low so that there is difficulty in solving students' problems on rectangular and triangular material based on Van Hiele's thinking stages. Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance that students have the ability to anticipate. The anticipation skill is needed by students to complete fractal batik designs (Sierpinsky) by using maple so that the resulting ideas matches the original expected ideas. The purpose of this research is to enable students to use maple to design Sierpinsky square batik. Data in this research were collected by tests, interviews and observations. The results showed that students frequently used analytical and exponential anticipation skills. Keywords: Analytic Anticipation, Exploratory Anticipation, Sierpinsky, Sierpinsky Batik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kajian pendidikan matematika yang berhubungan dengan etnomatematika pada rumah adat ogan Komering Ulu di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Seperti halnya dengan kota-kota besar di Indonesia yang mempunyai budaya beragam, Ogan Komering Ulu mempunyai ragam kekayaan sejarah dan budaya yang sangat menakjubkan. Salah satu peninggalan tersebut adalah arsitektur tradisional rumah ogan komering ulu. Beberapa rumah tradisional tersebut telah berumur lebih dari 50 tahun serta menyimpan nilai sejarah, budaya dan arsitektur yang belum sepenuhnya terungkap dengan jelas. Rumah ogan komering ulu mempunyai bangunan tipe spesifik yaitu limas, kemudian ada beberapa motif hiasan rumah atau ukiran yang berbentuk geometri. Kata kunci: etnomatematika, rumah adat, geometri. ABSTRACT This is a literature study of mathematics education related to ethnomatematics in traditional house of Komering Ulu in southern sumatera province. Like the other big cities in indonesia that have diverse culture, Ogan Komering Ulu also has an incredible variety of historical and cultural riches. One such relic is the traditional architecture of the house ogan komering ulu. Some of the traditional houses are over 50 years old and store historical, cultural and architectural values that have not been fully revealed. Rumah ogan komering ulu has a specific type of building that is pyramid, then there are some motifs of home decoration or engraving in the form of geometry.
