Abstract

Kecemasan matematika adalah salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi prestasi belajar matematika. Faktor tersebut dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa hal, baik berkaitan dengan faktor internal maupun faktor eksternal peserta didik. Dalam tulisan ini akan membahas tentang apa itu kecemasan matematika, indikator kecemasan matematika, dampak serta cara mengatasinya. Berdasarkan beberapa penelitian tentang kecemasan matematika, terlihat bahwa kecemasan matematika sangat berpengaruh negatif terhadap hasil belajar/prestasi belajar maupun berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan matematis peserta didik. Sebagai seorang guru atau calon guru juga harus mengurangi kecemasan matematika sehingga dapat mengurangi kecemasan matematika yang dimiliki oleh siswa. Sehingga pada saat memberikan pengajaran tidak terjadi kesalahan dalam penyampaian serta dapat mengurangi kecemasan matematika siswa. Seorang guru / pengajar harus mengerti tentang bagaimana indikator kecemasan matematika siswa, sehingga dapat mengatasi kecemasan matematika yang terjadi pada siswa. Kata kunci: kecemasan matematika. ABSTRACT Math anxiety is one of the factors that affect mathematics achievement. These factors can be influenced by several things, both with regard to internal factors and external factors learners. In this paper will discuss what it is about math anxiety, math anxiety indicators, impacts, and how to overcome them. Based on several studies of math anxiety, math anxiety appears that negatively affect the results of the teaching / learning achievement and influence to the mathematical abilities of learners. As a teacher or prospective teacher should also reduce math anxiety so as to reduce math anxiety owned by students. So that when giving instruction error does not occur in the delivery and may reduce students' mathematical anxiety. A teacher / tutors should understand how math anxiety indicator of students, so as to overcome math anxiety that occurs in students. Keywords: Math anxiety.

Abstract

Learning using Realistic Mathematics Education is a breakthrough in mathematics learning. A difficulty in implementation of PMRI on learning is there are no adequate learning resources or learning media which facilitate PMRI Implementation on learning. This research is aim to develop a PMRI learning pack on ratio topic which consist of Model Book, Teacher’s Book, Student’s Book, Lesson Plan, Worksheets and Evaluation sheets. The product was developed using Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) problems to support students ability to solve problems and develop student’s thinking abillity. Development model used was Plomp Model. From research results we find that the product was valid, practice, and effective. Validation results show that the validation score was 4,19. The practically was obtained by the consistency of practically evaluation scores from expert and learning observation results. The effectiveness was obtained by four indicators, namely: 1) 80% of 35 students gain high or very high score, 2) percentage average of students and teachers activities gain ideal tolerance time, 3) 92,5 % of students give a positive response on learning, and 4) Teacher’s capability to manage to learn good category. Abstract

Mathematical literacy is an individual’s ability to formulate, employ, and interpret mathematics in various contexts. AKM is one of the government's efforts to measure students' mathematical literacy. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach that aims to describe the profile of students' mathematical literacy in solving AKM in terms of the melancholic, choleric, phlegmatic, and sanguine personality types. The instrument used are personality type questionnaire, mathematical literacy test, and interview guidelines. The results showed that (1) melancholic students wrote complete information, construct mathematical models, used efficient and structured strategies, performed calculations correctly, interpreted and double-checked answers as a whole; (2) choleric students wrote complete information, did not make mathematical models, used structured strategies, performed calculations correctly, interpreted and re-checked answers, but were less careful so the units used were not appropriate; (3) phlegmatic students wrote complete information, construct mathematical models, used quick strategies, interpreted and re-checked calculations, but were less careful so the calculations were not accurate; (4) Sanguine students did not write down known information, did not make mathematical models, used quick strategies, interpreted solutions, but did not re-check answers so the calculations were inaccurate. Therefore, personality type is one of the factors that cause differences in mathematical literacy. Keywords : mathematical literacy, akm, personality type.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara matematika dengan budaya masyarakat Madura yakni pada Kerabhen Sape. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan penelitian kualitatif-etnomatematika. Etnomatematika digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan budaya yang bernuansa dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan deskripsi dan analisis mendalam tentang sebuah budaya berdasarkan observasi, data pustaka, wawancara dan dokumentasi yang telah diperoleh dari hasil pengumpulan data. Fokus dalam penelitian ini yaitu eksplorasi etnomatematika dalam budaya Kerabhen Sape Madura, yang bagi kebanyakan masyarakat Madura tidak hanya sebuah pesta rakyat atau acara yang diselenggarakan tiap tahun yang diwarisi secara turun temurun, tetapi Kerabhen Sape adalah bentuk simbol prestise yang dapat mengangkat harkat dan martabat masyarakat Madura. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat berbagai konsep matematika, seperti bangun datar, kesebangunan, kekongruenan, dan operasi bilangan. Selain itu, budaya Kerabhen Sape ini sangat terkenal di Indonesia bahkan hingga tingkat internasional. Kata kunci: etnomatematika, ekplorasi, kerabhen sape, konsep matematika. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between mathematics and the culture of Madurese community, namely Kerabhen Sape. In this study, researchers used qualitative-ethnomathematics research. Ethnomathematics is used to describe nuanced culture with the aim of getting a description and in-depth analysis of a culture based on observations, library data, interviews and documentation that has been obtained from the results of data collection. The focus of this research is ethnomatematics exploration in the Madura Kerabhen Sape culture, which for most Madurese is not just a people's party or an annual event inherited from generation to generation, but Kerabhen Sape is also a form of prestige symbol that can lift dignity and the dignity of the Madurese community. The results of this study indicate that there are various mathematical concepts, such as flat wake, congruence, kekongruenan, and number operations. In addition, the Kerabhen Sape culture is very well known in Indonesia and even internationally. Keywords: ethnomatematics, exploration, kerabhen sape, mathematical concepts.

Abstract

The development of this media aims to measure the feasibility of Spinner Education media assisted by Interactive Power Point as a student learning media in class IV material at Muhammadiyah 13 Elementary School. Education and Interactive Power Point, the level of practicality of Spinner education media and Interactive Power Point, and the effectiveness level of Spinner Education and Interactive Power Point media. This research uses the R&D or Research and Development method and refers to the ADDIE development model. The results of the analysis of material validation that has been carried out by researchers get a percentage of 89%, and media validation gets a percentage of 89%. The results of the practicality analysis of the media get a percentage of 90% of the teacher's response and get a percentage of 91% of the student's response. At the analysis stage of the effectiveness of the media to get a learning completeness presentation of 88%. So it can be concluded that the media is suitable for use in the learning process in elementary schools.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kesalahan siswa kelas IX SMP di Bandung Barat dalam menyelesaikan soal pada materi statistika.Jenis penelitian inimerupakan penelitian deskriptif, dengan menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal pada materi statistika yang berpedoman pada indikator kesalahan menurut Kastolan.Penelitian dilakukan dengan memberikan tes tertulis dalam bentuk soal uraian yang berjumlah tujuh soal dan angket kuisioner kemudian dianalisis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulan bahwa analisis kesalahan yang di hadapi oleh siswa SMP pada materi statistika, berupa persentase data diperoleh Kesalahan Konseptual 37,1% dan Kesalahan Prosedural 35,9%. Adapun hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa: (1) siswa mengalami kesalahan konseptual, berupa kesalahan menentukan dan penggunaan rumus yang tidak sesuai serta tidak menuliskan rumus untuk menjawabsuatu masalah. (2) siswa mengalami hambatan dalam menyelesaikan soal karena lupa dengan formula atau rumus yang akan digunakan. Kata kunci: analisis kesalahan, statistika. ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the errors in solving statistics problems of 9th grade students of junior high school. This is a descriptive research by analysing and describing the errorindicators in solving statistics problems according to Kastolan. The study was conducted by giving a questionnaire and written test in the form of a description containing seven questions.The study concludes that junior high school students’errors on statisticsproblems in the from of percentage error of the data obtained Conceptual Errors by 37.1% and Procedural Errors 35.9%. The results show that: (1) students have conceptual errors, such as errors defining and using formulas, (2) students get difficulties in solving problems because they forget the formula. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the students 'concept and students' mistakes while solving the comparison task. This experiment used qualitative descriptive methods. The Subjects of this experiment were the students in Daan Mogot Junior High School grade. Data were collected by observation method. The result shows that the percentage of students' concept understanding while solving the Comparison is 67.18%, the result of object clarification according to another character is 37.69%, giving sample and non-sample is 99.04%, presenting concept by the right form mathematical representation is 90,38%, developing the need-qualification and enough-qualification concept is 14,1%, using the benefit and choosing the certain procedure is 73,46% and applying concept and algorithm to solve the problem is 41.15%. The students' mistakes while solving the Comparison task are: conceptual mistake, calculation mistake, using the wrong logic to conclude, using the wrong theorem, not checking the task. Some indicators such as the students don't understand enough about the abstract question, conceptual proof, how to start the proof, they get difficulties to remember the definition in conceptual proofing and use them to construct the proof, the students are not paying attention while reading the question, and they are having less confidence to answer the questions are the causes of the students' mistake while solving comparison. Abstract

Konsep etnomatematik yang diajukan oleh D'Ambrosio memandang budaya dan matematika sebagai dua hal yang saling berhubungan yang bisa dijelaskan satu sama lain melalui kegiatan sehari-hari masyarakat yang matematis. Penelitian ini setidaknya mengusung dua misi, yaitu misi pendidikan dan kebudayaan. Sejarah mencatat bahwa orang Sunda memiliki teknik unik dalam menghitung benih ikan (Osphronemus gouramy). Keunikannya terlihat dari bagaimana mereka menghitung dengan bernyanyi dan juga dalam perspektif proses matematis. Studi interpretif ini mengeksplorasi konsep matematika yang terdapat dalam budaya Sunda dan memberikan gambaran tentang antropologi budaya melalui pendekatan etnomatematik. Penelitian ini mengamati empat peternak ikan senior dari berbagai kota di Priangan Timur. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa orang Sunda menggunakan konsep dari sedikit dari lima orang dalam menghitung benih ikan. Selain itu, mereka juga sangat terampil dalam menerapkan sifat distribusi perkalian, namun mereka tidak mengetahui istilahnya secara matematis. Bahkan pada konsep identitas dan invers, secara tidak langsung mereka telah menerapkannya tanpa mengetahui sifat tersebut. Hampir semua responden tidak bisa menjelaskan bagaimana mereka mendapatkan proses perkalian ini karena empat responden lulusan sekolah dasar, bahkan beberapa di antaranya tidak tamat. Mereka mengatakan bahwa matematika bisa dikuasai oleh pengalaman. Dari perspektif antropologi, ikan gurame memiliki nilai semiotika yang sangat berarti bagi orang Sunda, hal ini menunjukkan nilai prestise orang Sunda. Dari perspektif budaya, penelitian ini memaparkan kearifan lokal orang Sunda menjadi bagian dari upaya menegakkan nilai-nilai budaya bangsa. Dari perspektif pendidikan, penelitian ini bisa menjadi upaya mengurangi gagasan bahwa matematika dan budaya bebas budaya. Kata kunci: antropologi budaya, etnomatematik, Osphronemus gouramy, budaya Sunda ABSTRACT Ethnomathematical concept that was proposed by D'Ambrosio looked at culture and mathematics as an interconnected thing that can be explained each other by everyday mathematical activities of society. This research at least brings two missions, namely educational and cultural missions. History noted that the Sundanese have a unique technique in counting fish seeds (Osphronemus gouramy). The uniqueness is visible from how they count by singing and also in the perspective of mathematical process. This interpretive study explores the mathematical concepts contained in the Sundanese culture and provide an overview of cultural anthropology through an ethnomathematics approach. This research observed four senior farmers from different cities in Priangan Timur. The results show that Sundanese uses the concept of a multiple of five in counting fish seeds. In addition, they are also highly skilled at applying the distributive properties of multiplication, but they don’t know the term mathematically. Even the concept of identity and inverse, indirectly they have applied it without knowing the terms. Almost all respondents cannot explain how they got this multiplication process because the four of respondents only went to elementary school, even some of them did not finish it. They said clearly that mathematics can be mastered by experience. From the anthropology perspective, Gourami Fish has a very meaningful semiotics value for Sundanese, it shows the prestige value of Sundanese. From a cultural perspective, this research exposes Sundaneses’ local wisdom becomes part of the effort to uphold the nation's cultural values. From educational perspective, this study could be an effort in reducing the notion that mathematics and culture are culturally-free. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil Ujian Nasional mata pelajaran Matematika di SMA Negeri 3 Semarang tahun 2018. Terdapat 22,72% siswa yang menjawab salah dalam menentukan sudut pada ruang dimensi tiga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kreatifitas, keaktifan, keterampilan proses, dan meminimalkan kesalahan siswa. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII. Variabel penelitian meliputi keaktifan, kreativitas, keterampilan proses, dan prestasi hasil belajar. Penelitian ini memberikan hasil bahwa dengan model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning yang memanfaatkan media animasi powerpoint mampu meminimalkan kesalahan siswa yang semula 26,3% hingga tinggal 5%. Model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning dapat meningkatkan kreatifitas siswa sebesar 24,5%, keaktifan siswa 38,4%, keterampilan proses 26,8%, dan prestasi hasil belajar 22,3%. Dengan demikian model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning dapat digunakan sebagai referensi para guru maupun pengembang kurikulum matematika dalam pemilihan model pembelajaran matematika materi geometri maupun pengembangan penyusunan silabus pembelajaran. Kata kunci: kreatifitas, Cooperative Learning, animasi. ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the results of the National Examination of Mathematics in SMAN 3 Semarang in 2018. There were 22.72% students who answered incorrectly in determining angles in the three-dimensional space. This study aims to increase creativity, activity, process skills, and to minimize student errors. The research subjects were 12th grade students. Research variables are activity, creativity, process skills, and learning outcomes. The result is Cooperative Learning model by using power point animation media is able to minimize student errors from 26.3% to 5%. This method is also able to increase student creativity up to 24.5% more creative than before, the activity of students 38.4%, process skills 26.8%, and learning outcomes 22.3%. Thus the Cooperative Learning model can be used as a reference for teachers and mathematical curriculum developers to select mathematics’ learning models for geometry material and to develop learning syllabus. Abstract

Mathematics belongs to its own thinkers, and every thinker has their own culture. So mathematics has an attachment to culture. Ethnomathematics emerged as a link between mathematics and culture. Ethnomathematics continues to evolve and embrace a wider range of studies with a cultural and social center. So the shift in focus towards the ethnomathematical paradigm is inevitable. This study identifies several philosophers' thoughts about the perspective of research results in the field of ethnomathematics. The debating paradigm in culturally based mathematical research. This study aims to describe ethnomathematics from various perspectives; the research method used is literature study. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: There are two paradigms related to the study of ethnomathematics, namely ethnomathematics as a cultural practice and ethnomathematics as a theory to analyze something different. There are various perspectives in ethnomathematical research, (1) there are several perspectives on ethnomathematics as a cultural practice, including ethnomathematics as a mathematicizing activity, the NUC system, mathematical analysis activities, mathematics projects, ethics, and ethnomathematics or mathematics. (2) as a theory, ethnomathematics can be looked at from different points of view, such as the QRS system, analogy mathematical activity, location interpretation, emic, and ethnomathematics and mathematics
