Abstract

Aljabar merupakan generalisasi aritmatika sehingga dijadikan sebagai titik awal pembelajaran matematika tingkat lanjut. Meski aljabar sangat penting namun siswa memiliki banyak kendala dalam mempelajari aljabar. penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku teks matematika berbasis investigasi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran aljabar siswa. Tujuan dari buku teks matematika adalah untuk memfasilitasi siswa menyelidiki masalah dalam materi Persamaan Kuadrat. Penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model Four-D yang dimodifikasi diantaranya Define (identifikasi dan pengembangan struktur model bahan ajar), Desain (desain buku teks untuk mendapatkan prototipe yang sesuai dengan pembelajaran yang akan dilakukan), Develop (Pengembangan draft buku teks berdasarkan ahli diperoleh dari uji coba lapangan). Untuk tahap DIseminate pada tahap ini tidak dilakukan. Pada setiap tahappengembangan berisi kegiatan yang menunjukkan adanya urutan langkah-langkah kegiatan. Khususnya, dalam tahap Develop berisi siklus kegiatan. Prosedur penelitian ini dimulai dengan tahap awal studi mendalam tentang eksplorasi kebutuhan buku teks yang dilakukan sebagai cara mengatasi kesalahpahaman siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah persamaan kuadrat melalui investigasi untuk meningkatkan penalaran aljabar. Langkah selanjutnya adalah menyusun buku teks matematika berbasis investigasi. Buku teks yang dihasilkan divalidasi oleh para ahli dalam pendidikan matematika dan para ahli dalam buku teks matematika. Buku teks diuji secara terbatas untuk mengetahui kepraktisan buku teks. Alhasil dalam penelitian ini diperoleh buku teks matematika berbasis investigasi yang valid dan praktis. Kata kunci: analisis, struktur kognitif, berpikir matematis, bilangan bulat, ABSTRACT The algebraic concept is a generalization of arithmetic so that it is used as an entry point in further learning mathematics. Thus algebra is important. However students have many obstacles in learning algebra. This is development research to develop mathematics textbooks to improve students' algebraic reasoning abilities. The purpose of mathematics textbooks is to facilitate students investigate problems in the material of Quadratic Equations. This development study used a modified Four-D model include Define (identification and development of instructional material model structures), Design (textbook design to obtain prototypes that are appropriate to the learning to be carried out), Develop (Improved draft textbooks based on expert input and data obtained from field trials). At each stage contains activities that indicate the existence of a sequence of steps of activity. Especifically, in the Develop stage contains the activity cycle. The procedure of this study begin with the early stages an in-depth study of the exploration of the needs of textbooks was carried out as a means of overcoming students' misconceptions in solving investigative quadratic equation problems to improve algebraic reasoning abilities. The next step is to compile a textbook that is presented in print media. The resulting textbooks were validated by experts in mathematics education and experts in mathematics textbook. After that the textbook tested in a limited way through developmental experimental studies to study the practicality of textbooks. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain learning outcomes by looking at the differences between classes learning of maple 13 application assisted by problem based teaching materials with convensional learning question and answer. The method used in this research is an experimental method with random sampling. The result of thi research are: (a) validation was carried out by competent expert lecturers to assess the feasibility of calculus vector questions to obtain good and very good criteria, so the valid test items were used for research, (b) from the validation results of the test items, 5 questions were used. The research (experiment) of 8 questions was tested, (c) the normality test was carried out on the N-gain and the postest score of class A (experiment), namely the class using Maple 13 application learning assisted by problem-based teaching materials and class B (control class ) by using learning with lectures and questions and answers, obtained a class A posttest score with a sig. 0.03 <0.05 means that class A (experimental) comes from a population that is not normally distributed, then the next test is the average difference test using the Mann Whitney test, (d) the average difference test between class A (experimental), namely the class using learning Maple 13 application assisted with problem-based teaching materials and class B (control class) using learning with lectures and questions and answers obtained from the Mann Whitney test with Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.475> 0.05 means that between class A and class B have different averages but have the same level of achievement or there is no difference for the level of achievement of the average increase. Abstract

Pada umumnya teorema Morley diberlakukan pada segitiga, dalam tulisan ini akan dikembangkan ide teorema Morley untuk bangun datar dengan sisi yang lebih banyak (dalam hal ini segi empat) dan menentukan rumus panjang sisi segiempat Morley tersebut. Segiempat yang dibahas yakni persegi, persegi panjang, belah ketupat, layang-layang, dan trapesium sama kaki. Pembuktian dalam tulisan ini menggunakan cara yang lebih sederhana dengan konsep kesebangunan dan konsep trigonometri. Kata kunci: Teorema Morley, konsep kekongruenan, trigonometri. ABSTRACT Morley’s Theorem generally applies in triangle. This paper applied Morley’s Theorem in quadrilateral to determine the side lenght of Morley’s quadrilateral. Quadrilaterals discussed in this paper are square, rectangle rhombus, kite, and isoscelestrapezium. Simpler way is used to prove by applying congruence and trigonometric concepts. Abstract

This The 21st century requires human resources who have superior quality with critical thinking skills, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills. Education is the main sector that plays a role in increasing the number of human resources with superior skills. The research objectives are: 1) Knowing the mathematical literacy skills of students 2) Knowing the higher order thinking skills of students 3) Knowing the correlation between mathematical literacy and students' higher-order thinking skills. The research method used in this research is correlational, without giving any treatment. The data collection technique in this study was a test technique, with the research population being students of class X SMA Negeri 2 Kuningan with a total of 249 students. The sampling technique used was Stratified Random Sampling so that the number of samples taken was 35 students. The results obtained that the level of mathematical literacy ability seen in each indicator obtained results on the formulate indicator with a mean value of 66.09 being in the good category, the mean value of the employing indicator of 78.43 being in the good category, while the mean value of the employing indicator was 78.43. the indicator interprets the mean value of 27.51 in the low category. Meanwhile, the level of students' higher order thinking skills seen in each indicator obtained an average score or mean from the analyzing indicator (C4) of 56, the C5 indicator evaluated getting the mean or average value of 53.57, and the mean value of the C6 indicator. create 44.57. The mean or average value obtained for each indicator is interpreted based on test scores with a sufficient category for the C4 indicator, the low category for the C5 indicator, and the very low category on the C6 indicator, and the results of this study indicate that there is a significant correlation between mathematical literacy and ability students' higher order thinking. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan signifikan antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas VII yang dibelajarkan dengan metode drill berbantuan permainan engklek termodifikasi dan metode konvensional. Modifikasi pada permainan engklek dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pada teknik permainan dan pola engklek yang disusun dari sekumpulan bangun segitiga, jajargenjang, persegi, persegi panjang, belah ketupat, layang-layang, dan trapesium. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Desain dari penelitian ini menggunakan true eksperimental design dengan jenis pre test-post test control design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII MTs Uswatun Hasanah Mangkang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik non probability sampling tipe sampling jenuh dan terpilih kelas VII B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII A sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengujian hipotesis dengan uji-t, diperoleh bahwa thitung= 2,895 dan pada taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh ttabel= 1,691. Karena thitung>ttabel maka H1 diterima. Hal ini berarti bahwa rata-rata nilai yang diperoleh pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari pada kelas kontrol sehingga terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa antara kedua kelas tersebut. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode drill berbantuan permainan engklek termodifikasi berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada siswa kelas VII MTs Uswatun Hasanah. ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to find out the significant difference of problem solving abilities of learning outcomes of students that were taught in drill method with modified engklek game and conventional method. In this research, the traditional engklek game is modified on techniques and patterns that are composed of triangle, parallelogram, square, rectangle, rhombus, kite, and trapezoid. This qualitative research is true eksperimental design by using pre test-post test control design. The population is whole students on grade VII of MTs Uswatun Hasanah, Mangkang. The samples are choosen by using non probability sampling technique with saturated sampling and obtained that grade VIIB as an experimental class and VIIA as a control one. Based on hypothesis analyzing by using t-test, we have tarithmetic=2,895 and ttable= 1,691 at siginificant scale 5%. Bacause of tarithmetic>ttable, so that H1 is accepted. That means learning outcomes on experimental class is better than control class. That result shows the significant difference of problem solving abilities between both classes. So this study found the influence of drill method with modified engklek game to mathematical problem solving abilities of grade VII students of MTs Uswatun Hasanah. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect size of the influence of Think-Talk-Write learning in improving students' mathematical problem-solving abilities by describing: (1) Overall Effect size, (2) Effect size Based on Educational Level, (3) Effect size Based on Material What is taught, (4) Effect size Based on Learning Media/ LKPD. The population is sinta-accredited national journals that are available via the internet. In taking the sample used, the purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique is tabulation and calculating the effect size using Cohen's d formula. Conclusions: (1) Overall, the seven journal articles obtained an effect size of 0.81, which indicates that the think talk writing learning model has a moderate effect in improving students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, (2) Think talk writing learning is more widely applied at the education level. SMP/MTs level by obtaining an effect size value of 0.83, while the effect size value for SMA/SMK level education is 0.76, (3) The area of ??the circle is the material that has the most significant effect size effect, which is 1.65 high effect category, ( 4) An effective learning media in the application of think talk write learning, one of which is the Prezi application Keywords: A meta-analysis, think talk, learning, math problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Matematika dasar merupakan salah satu mata kuliah wajib bagi sebagian program studi di STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan mahasiswa STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat terhadap bahan ajar pada perkuliahan matematika dasar. Penelitian dilakukan melalui survei terhadap 88 mahasiswa yang terdiri atas 31 mahasiswa dari program studi pendidikan Fisika dan 57 mahasiswa dari program studi pendidikan biologi. Sampel diambil purposif, yaitu mahasiswa yang sudah berada dikelas lanjutan. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah lembar analisis, berupa angket, dan pedoman wawancara. Angket diberikan kepada mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Fisika dan Pendidikan Biologi. Data angket dan wawancara dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa membutuhkan buku teks bilingual dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme pada perkuliahan matematika dasar. Kata kunci: bahan ajar, matematika dasar. ABSTRACT Basic mathematics is one of the compulsory subjects for some courses in STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. This research aims to analyze the needs of students STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat on teaching materials on basic mathematics lectures. The study was conducted through a survey of 88 student of advanced classes, consisting of 31 students from Physics education program and 57 students from biology education program were selected through purposive sampling. The instruments used in this research are the analysis sheet, in the form of questionnaires, and interview guidelines. Questionnaire and interview data were analyzed qualitatively. The results of this research indicate that students need bilingual textbooks with a constructivism approach in basic mathematics lectures. Keywords: teaching materials, basic mathematics.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to examine the achievement of mathematical problem solving abilities between students who obtain learning with the discovery learning model and students who obtain learning with the blended learning model. This research is a mixed method research with concurrent embedded method. This study consisted of two experimental groups who learned by discovery learning and blended learning models. The research population is students in one of the junior high schools in Serang Regency. Banten with a class VIII research sample. Data analysis was performed quantitatively and qualitatively. Quantitative analysis is used to calculate differences in the achievement of students' mathematical problem solving abilities, while qualitative data analysis is used to strengthen the results of quantitative analysis. The results showed the percentage of achievement of students' mathematical problem solving abilities that obtained learning with the discovery learning model with students who obtained learning with the blended learning model in the medium category. There was no significant difference in the achievement of mathematical problem solving abilities between the two experimental groups. Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan keterkaitan antara matematika dengan budaya masyarakat suku dawan. Masyarakat suku dawan menganggap bahwa matematika adalah ilmu asbtrak yang sama sekali berbeda sifatnya dengan dunia nyata. Study ethnomatematics diperlukan untuk mengetahui konsep matematika dan karakter siswa yang terbentuk dari permainan kelereng suku dawan di kampong Oeolo, Dawan-Timor. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan pembuatan catatan lapangan. Hasil temuan ini mengungkap beberapa konsep matematika yaitu konsep bilangan asli, konsep bilangan cacah, penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat positif, konsep urutan bilangan, konsep harga mutlak, jarak antara dua titik, perbandingan jarak dua obyek ke suatu titik, dan konsep persegi panjang. Sedangkan karakter siswa yang dikembangkan adalah mengatur emosi, melatih kemampuan motorik, kemampuan berfikir, kemampuan berkompetensi, kemampuan sosial, dan bersikap jujur. Kata kunci: ethnomatematics, permainan kelereng, masyarakat suku dawan. ABSTRACT This research describes the mutual relationship between mathematics and Dawan culture. Dawan tribes think that mathematics is abstract that has completely different nature with reality. A study of ethnomatematics is needed to explore the mathematical concepts and character of students constructed from marbles games of Oeolo village in Dawan-Timor. Data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and field notes. These findings reveal some of the mathematical concepts such as the concept of natural numbers, the concept of counting, summing and the reduction of positive integers, the concept of the sequence of numbers, the absolute price concept, the distance between two points, the comparison of the distance of two objects to a point, and the concept of a rectangle. While its also developed some character of students to manage emotions, train motor skills, ability to think, compete with others, social skills, and be honest. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe David Kolb's learning style according to the mathematical representation of students. This research is qualitative. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII SMP Agus Salim Semarang. The data were obtained by using the test method of the mathematical representation ability instrument, questionnaire of KLSI (Kolb Learning Style Inventory), interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are: (1). Students with High Mathematical Representation Ability tend to have an assimilator type of learning style, (2). Students with Medium Mathematical Representation Ability tend to have a converger learning style type, and (3). Students with Low Mathematical Representation Ability tend to have a divergent learning style. Teachers are suggested to identify students’ learning styles to be the best teachers for students. It is also recommended to collect mathematical representation-based problems to improve students' mathematical representation skills.
