Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan suatu proses yang mampu membantu manusia dalam mengembangkan dirinya sehingga mampu menghadapi setiap perubahan yang terjadi. Dalam seluruh proses pendidikan, kegiatan belajar mengajar merupakan kegiatan yang paling pokok. Artinya, bahwa berhasil tidaknya pencapaian tujuan pendidikan banyak bergantung proses belajar mengajar dirancang dan diterapkan. Hal ini tentu sangat erat kaitannya dengan model pembelajaran yang diterapkan dalam proses belajar mengajar. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif. Model pembelajaran kooperatif diyakini dapat meningkatkan keterampilan kognitif dan afektif siswa. Model pembelajaran kooperatif mempunyai beberapa tipe atau variasi, salah satunya adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT). Namun dalam penerapannya, ditemukan adanya masalah yang dapat menghambat tercapainya proses belajar mengajar yang optimal. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya solusi yang tepat supaya penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together menjadi lebih efektif. Kata kunci: model pembelajaran kooperatif, NHT, penerapan NHT. ABSTRACT Basically education is a process that helps humans to develope themselves to face any changes that occur. In the whole process of education, teaching and learning activities are the most basic activities. It implies the success or failure of the achievement of educational goals depends on how the teaching and learning process are designed and implemented. It has strong relation to the learning model applied in teaching and learning process. One of learning model that can be applied is a cooperative learning model. Cooperative learning model is believed to improve students' cognitive and affective skills. Cooperative learning model has several types or variations. One f them is Numbered Head Together (NHT). But it is found a problem that can hamper the achievement of optimal learning and teaching process during the implementation of NHT. Therefore, the need for an appropriate solution so that NHT can be implemented more effectively. Keywords: cooperative learning model, NHT, implementation of NHT.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the critical thinking process of junior high school students with choleric personalities in solving mathematical problems. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were two students of MTs Hasanuddin Sidoarjo class VIII who had choleric personalities obtained from the results of personality tests. The research stages used by the researchers consisted of three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the analysis stage. The data collection technique in this research is the technique of giving the Mathematical Problem Solving Test (TPMM) and interviews later to obtain valid and credible data, researchers use source triangulation. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the choleric subject in solving mathematical problems shows the criteria for critical thinking: focus, reason, inference, situation, clarity, overview at the stage of understanding the problem. At the stage of making a plan for the completion of the choleric subject, it fulfills the criteria for critical thinking, focus, reason, inference, situation, clarity, overview. Likewise, at the stage of implementing the completion plan, the choleric subject meets the criteria for critical thinking, focus, reason, inference, situation, clarity, overview. Meanwhile, at the stage of re-examining the completion plan, the choleric subject only met the criteria for critical thinking, focus, reason, inference, situation, clarity, did not meet the criteria for critical thinking overview. Abstract

Some mathematics teachers in Indonesia still find it challenging to conduct a formative assessment in a class with many students. A problem emerges in how to facilitate an environment that uses the type of engaging discussion needed for formative assessment to be successful. Meanwhile, in mathematics learning, proceptual (process and conceptual) understanding is considered prominent for success in learning mathematics. This understanding could be enhanced by using an appropriate strategy of discussion, which could be managed along with conducting a formative assessment. Overcoming this challenge, promoting a connected classroom might be beneficial to facilitating formative evaluation in a large class. Therefore, this paper aims to develop a method for formatively assessing students’ mathematics understanding that mathematics teachers could use with a focus on proceptual understanding. Reviewing some literature on the topics of mathematics understanding, formative assessment, and connected classroom has established a framework to help teachers develop guidance for conducting formative assessment in proceptual understanding using a connected classroom. The framework based might be used to help mathematics teachers prepare formative assessments in a class with many students. An example of how to develop a guide to assess students' proceptual understanding of algebra is also provided in this paper. Abstract

Strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran kurang membangun kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika peserta didik sehingga menyebabkan peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam pemecahan masalah matematika. Proses pembelajaran dapat diperbaiki dengan menerapkan model Problem Based Learning. Kegiatan peserta didik dalam model pembelajaran tersebut diharapkan dapat berlangsung optimal manakala dilengkapi dengan hands on activity. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui mana yang lebih baik antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada kelas dengan model pembelajaran problem based learning berbasis hands on activity atau pada kelas pembelajaran konvensional. Selain itu, juga untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik menggunakan strategi Polya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mixed methods. Metode penelitian yang mengkombinasikan atau menggabungkan antara metode penelitian kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik dengan menggunakan langkah polya pada pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis hands on activity lebih baik daripada kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada pembelajaran ekspositori. (2) Penyebab kesalahan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah (TKPM) ditinjau dari langkah-langkah Polya yaitu antara lain: (a) peserta didik tidak terbiasa dengan bahasa soal yang rumit (memahami masalah); (b) peserta didik kurang cermat sehingga ketika mengerjakan soal sering terjadi salah menggunakan rumus (menyusun rencana penyelesaian); (c) peserta didik kurang teliti sehingga ketika mengerjakan soal sering terjadi salah perhitungan (melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian); (d) peserta didik kurang bisa memanfaatkan waktu pengerjaan dengan baik (melihat kembali). It causes students get difficulties in solving mathematical problems The learning process can be improved by applying learning models that can improve problem solving skill for students, one of which is the Problem Based Learning learning model. The activities of students in the learning model are expected to be optimal when equipped with activities. The purpose of this study is to find out which is better between students' problem solving abilities in the class with a problem-based learning model that is hand-based on activities or in conventional learning classes. The type of research used in this study is a mixed method. Research method that combines or researches between quantitative and qualitative research methods. The results of this study are as follows: (1) The problem solving ability of students by using the Polya steps in Problem Based Learning learning based on hands on activity is better than students' problem solving abilities in expository learning (2) The cause of the students' mistakes in completing the problem solving ability based on Polya's steps are: (a) students cannot use complex language (problem solving); (B) students do not accurately solve problems often occur using the formula (c) students are not thorough so working on the problem often occurs miscalculation (d) students can not take the time to work properly (looking back). Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian adalah menghasilkan produk game edukasi matematika sebagai media pembelajaran matematika dengan konteks kearifan lokal Banten yang layak, efektif serta praktis dan dapat digunakan dilapangan. Penelitian pengembangan ini dilakukan dengan mengadopsi model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap yaitu analyze (analisis), design (perancangan), development (pengembangan), implementation (implementasi), serta evaluation (evaluasi). Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar angket validasi ahli, lembar angket respons guru matematika dan siswa, serta lembar ketuntasan level game. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh yaitu bahwa game edukasi layak, praktis, dan efektif digunakan pada kegiatan pembelajaran. Kata kunci: game edukasi, matriks, kearifan lokal. ABSTRACT The research objective is to produce educational math games as a medium of learning mathematics with the context of local wisdom Bantam a viable, effective and practical and can be used in the field. Research and development is done by adopting the development model of ADDIE which consists of five stages: analyze (analysis), design (perancangan), development (pengembangan), implementation (implementation), and evaluation (evaluation). The instrument used in the sheet questionnaire validation experts, sheet questionnaire responses of mathematics teachers and students, as well as the sheet mastery level the game. The results obtained, namely that the game is feasible, practical, and effective to use in learning activities. Keywords: educational game, matrix, local wisdom.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran model kontekstual open ended problem solving dengan komik matematika untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan menggunakan modifikasi Plomp. Jenis perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah silabus, RPP, komik pembelajaran, LKS, Tes Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) perangkat yang dikembangkan valid; (2) pembelajaran praktis ditandai dengan respon positif siswa dan kemampuan guru baik; (3) Efektifitas ditandai dengan (a) rata-rata skor kemampuan pemecahan masalah melampaui KKM 70; (b) keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan minat belajar secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah; c) kemampuan pemecahan masalah kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari kelas kontrol;dan d) rata-rata keterampilan pemecahan masalah meningkat sebesar 31%, kemampuan pemecahan masalah kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol, sehingga pembelajaran dengan perangkat ini efektif. Kata Kunci: pembelajaran kontekstual, open ended problem solving, komik matematika, pemecahan masalah. ABSTRACT The aim of this research to develop a mathematics learning instrument using contextual open ended problem solving with mathematic comic to increase the problem solving skill which valid, practical and effective. The type of research used in this study is development research using modification of Plomp model. Learning instrumen that have been develop are: syllabus, Lesson plan, worksheet, mathematics comic, and problem solving ability test. The results showed: (1) device developed valid; (2) practical learning is characterized by the positive response of students and good teachers ability, (3) Effectiveness characterized by (a) problem solving ability score of the experimental class higher than minimum completeness criterion, (b) learn interest and problem solving skill, both affected the problem solving ability positively, (c) problem solving ability of the experimental class score is higher than the control class, (d) problem solving skill of the experimental class is increasing by 31%, the problem solving ability of the experimental class higher than the control class.. Because of the learning instrument develope are valid, practice and effective, it is shows that the research has ben reach out. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to design e-worksheet mathematics on the subject of linear equations and inequalities based on Tri-N and to determine the validity of mathematics e-worksheet on the subject of linear equations and inequalities based on Tri-N. This research uses the stages of define, design, and development. The data collection technique used at the define stage is documentation and at the development, the stage is a validation sheet. The data analysis technique carried out at the define stage is qualitative descriptive analysis, at the design stage is descriptive analysis, and at the development, the stage is a quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the e-worksheet mathematics subject of linear equations and inequalities based on Tri-N was valid with the tendency of the product to be in the medium category. This can be seen from the results of V-Aiken calculations obtained between 0.589 to 0.933. Based on these results it is suggested that the e-LKPD mathematics can be used in the dissemination stage. Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika yang terjadi selama ini belum memfasilitasi siswa untuk mengembangkan kemampuan representasi matematisnya. Kemampuan representasi matematis siswa dapat ditinjau dari berbagai dimensi, salah satunya yaitu gaya kognitif. Gaya kognitif mempengaruhi siswa dalam memahami materi dan permasalahan. Selain itu, disposisi matematis sebagai salah satu kompetensi sosial juga perlu dikembangkan agar siswa gigih dalam menyelesaikan masalah, menyukai matematika, dan dapat belajar dengan penuh tanggung jawab. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran open-ended berbasis etnomatematika ditinjau dari gaya kognitif siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis dan disposisi matematis siswa yang layak digunakan. Berdasarkan uji validitas yang dilakukan oleh ahli, diperoleh nilai silabus yaitu 3,63, RPP sebesar 3,71, modul sebesar 3,74, ADM sebesar 3,86, TRM sebesar 3,83, dan pedoman wawancara sebesar 3,80. Seluruh perangkat pembelajaran dan instrumen tes termasuk pada kriteria sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran open-ended berbasis etnomatematika ditinjau dari gaya kognitif siswa valid digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan representasi dan disposisi matematis siswa. ABSTRACT Mathematics learning so far has not facilitated students to develop their mathematical representation ability. The students' mathematical representation ability can be reviewed from various dimensions, one of them is cognitive style. Cognitive style affects the students in understanding the material and the problems. Moreover, mathematical disposition as one of social competence also needs to be developed so the students persevere in solving problems, like mathematics, and can learn with full of responsibility. The purpose of this study was to develop an open-ended learning instrumens based on ethnomatematics in terms of students' cognitive style to improve mathematical representation and mathematical disposition of students which are eligible to use. Based on validity test conducted by the expert, the values of obtained syllabus, lesson plan, module, ADM, TRM, and interview guidance respectively are 3.63, 3.71, 3.74, 3.86, 3.83, and 3.80. All of learning and test instrumens included on very good criteria. Based on these results, the open-ended learning instrumens based on ethnomatematics in terms of the cognitive style of students valid to be used to improve students' mathematical representation and disposition. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan konsep matematika dalam pembelajaran matematika realistik di makam Bung Karno serta guna memberikan pilihan matematika etnik sebagai sumber belajar untuk murid. Penelitian ini memakai metode kualitatif jenis penelitian etnografi. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu penduduk lokal serta praktisi budaya. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari instrumen utama (peneliti) serta instrumen pendukung (lembar observasi serta pedoman wawancara). Data dihasilkan dari observasi, dokumentasi, studi literasi serta tanya jawab. Observasi serta catatan digunakan guna mengidentifikasi materi etnomatematika di makam Bung Karno. Dokumentasi serta tanya jawab dengan memakai triangulasi bertujuan untuk mempelajari lebih dalam mengenai nilai-nilai budaya yang terdapat di makam Bung Karno. Analisis data memakai jenis etnografi Spradley, mencakup analisis bagian, analisis taksonomi, analisis domain, serta temuan tema budaya. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat unsur- unsur matematika( matematika etnik) pada kompleks makam Bung Karno yaitu konsep bangun ruang sisi lengkung, himpunan, lingkaran, segi empat dan segitiga, pola bilangan, transformasi geometri, dan bangun ruang sisi datar. Sehingga, kompleks makam Bung Karno dapat diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah selama proses perkuliahan Teori Graf berlangsung buku yang digunakan oleh mahasiswa mengacu pada berbagai buku teks yang beredar di pasaran namun urutan penyampaiannya tidak seragam dan terstruktur. Buku teks khusus teori graf sangat jarang sekali ada. Kalaupun ada, seringkali masuk pada sub bab matematika diskrit, sehingga dosen sering mengalami kesulitan untuk meramu materi yang sesuai dengan silabus dan RPS. Ketidaktersediaan buku Teori Graf yang dijadikan acuan sebagai sumber belajar menyebabkan mahasiswa sulit memahami konsep. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan buku ajar kompilasi Teori Graf yang berkualifikasi baik dan layak diterapkan dalam perkuliahan teori graf oleh dosen dan mahasiswa di STKIP PGRI Tulungagung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil validasi buku ajar teori graf menunjukkan bahwa ahli isi/materi menilai buku ajar berkualifikasi baik, ahli desain pembelajaran menilai buku ajar berkualifikasi baik, dan ahli media pembelajaran menilai buku ajar berkualifikasi baik. Rerata hasil uji pada kelompok kecil baik dosen maupun mahasiswa menunjukkan bahwa buku ajar yang dihasilkan berada pada kualifikasi baik. Hasil penelitian pengembangan adalah buku ajar kompilasi teori graf berkualifikasi baik, layak, dan siap digunakan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa di STKIP PGRI Tulungagung. Kata kunci: buku ajar kompilasi, teori graf, model ADDIE. ABSTRACT The background of this research is, during the Graph Theory lecture, the books used by students are textbooks on the market which have an unstructured contents and order. Special textbooks on graph theory are very rare, even if they are often included in the sub-chapter of discrete mathematics, so that lecturers often have difficulty compiling material that is in accordance with the syllabus and lesson plans. The unavailability of the graph theory book as learning sources has made the lack of students’ understanding the concept. The purpose of this study is to produce good quality and feasible text theory compilation textbooks in lectures on graph theory by lecturers and students at STKIP PGRI Tulungagung. This research is a development research. The development model used in this study is the ADDIE model, which includes five steps: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data is collected using questionnaire. The results of the validation of graph theory textbooks are content/material experts assess textbooks as well qualified, learning design experts assess textbooks as well qualified, and learning media experts assess textbooks as well qualified. The average test results in small groups both lecturers and students indicate that the textbook is in good qualification. Thus the development research stated that the textbook compilation of qualified graph theory is good, feasible, and ready to be used by lecturers and students at STKIP PGRI Tulungagung.
