Abstract

Abstract. Lake Sentani is located in Jayapura Regency, Papua Province with an area 9,360 ha and 70-90 meters above sea level. The lake directly adjacent to Cycloops Mountains Nature Reserve, obtaining supplies of about 34 springs.  The aim of the research was to describes the lake bathymetry as a basic information for the utilization. The function are as habitat place for many species, water resources, fisheries, transport and tourism. Morphometry and bathymetry of the lake is very important for the sustainable management of the lake functions as a topography and relief lakes that have different extreme depths. Making the bathymetry of the lake is done with the acoustic method. Recording data using Garmin GPSmap 76CSx and Garmin Echo 100 Fishfinder. The result of the research showed that the depth of Lake Sentani with 9 variation at the different location, in generally range 15-23 m. Meanwhile, the waters of the deepest lake located in the eastern part of the lake is more than 70 m and the lowest depths of 0-7 m are in the middle of the Sentani area.Keywords: bathymetry; morphometry; acoustic method; Garmin Echo 100 Fishfinder; Lake SentaniAbstrak. Danau Sentani terletak di Kabupaten Jayapura, Provinsi Papua dengan luas 9.360 ha dan ketinggian   70–90 m dpl. Danau ini berbatasan langsung dengan Cagar Alam Pegunungan Cycloops dan memperoleh suplai dari sekitar 34 sumber mata air. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menggambarkan batimetri danau sebagai informasi dasar pemanfaatan danau. Fungsi danau adalah sebagai habitat makhluk hidup, sumber air masyarakat sekitar, perikanan, transportasi dan pariwisata. Mengetahui morfometri dan batimetri danau sangat penting untuk pengelolaan fungsi danau yang berkelanjutan karena kondisi topografi dan relief danau yang memiliki perbedaan kedalaman ekstrim. Pembuatan batimetri danau dilakukan dengan metode akustik. Perekaman data menggunakan Garmin GPSmap 76CSx dan Garmin Echo 100 Fishfinder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedalaman perairan Danau Sentani terdiri dari 9 variasi yang umumnya berkisar 15–23 m. Perairan danau terdalam berada di wilayah timur danau yaitu lebih dari 70 m dan kedalaman terendah antara 0–7 m berada di wilayah Sentani tengah.Kata kunci: batimetri; morfometri; metode akustik; Garmin Echo 100 Fishfinder; Danau Sentani

Abstract

Abstract. Examination of heavy metals content in sediment ofWawobatu  Bay Waters, Kendari wasconducted in June2011. Sediment sampleswere collectedusing gravitycoreat 5research stations. Heavymetals content weremeasuredusingAtomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The purpose of this research wasto examine the heavy metals content in sediment and to predict the quality of sediment based on index analysis approach (geoaccumulation index and pollution load index). The results showed that Pb was rangedfrom 3.704 pp to 21.892 ppm, Cd was 0.784-1,385 ppm, Cu was 3,451-12,193 ppm, and 24.838 ppm, to 69.973 ppm and 37.289 ppm to 72.329 ppm for Zn and Ni, respectively. It is concluded that the content of the theseheavy metals were lower compared to threshold value stated by The Stated Ministry Office for Life Environment 2004 and Ontario sediment Guideline 2008. In general the heavy metals content in Station 4 was higherthanthe other stations. This iscaused by the differences insediment texture in each station, whilestation 4 is situated  in estuary and it has a black clayssediment texture. In addition, the content of Ni  washigher than the others examined heavy metals.Based on I-geo values that thesediment in this waters is categorized asunpolluted  by Pb, Cu, Zn, and Ni (I-geo0), and moderate polluted category by Cd (1I-geo2). In addition,based on PLI values, sediments of Wawobatu bay was unpolluted by Pb, Cu, Zn,  Ni and Cd.Keywords: Heavy metals; sediments; Wawobatu Bay; Kendari Abstrak. Pengamatan kandungan logam berat dalam sedimen diPerairanTeluk Wawobatu, Kendari telah dilakukan pada bulan Juni 2011. Contoh sedimen diambil dengan menggunakan gravity core pada 5 stasiun penelitian. Kandungan logam berat diukur dengan menggunakan Spektrofotometer Serapan Atom (SSA). Tujuan  penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kandungan logam berat dalam sedimen serta memprediksi kualitas sedimen berdasarkan pendekatan analisis indeks (Indeks geoakumulasi dan  Indeks Beban Pencemaran).Hasilnya menunjukkan, kandungan Pb berkisar  3,704-21,892 ppm, Cd  0,784-1,385 ppm, Cu  3,451-12,193 ppm, Zn  24,838-69,973 ppm, dan Ni  37,289-72,329 ppm. Kandungan ke lima logam tersebut masih lebih rendah dari nilai ambang batas yang ditetapkan oleh Kantor Menteri Negara Lingkungan Hidup 2010 dan baku mutu sedimen Ontario (Ontario Sediment Guideline) 2008. Kandungan logam berat dalam sedimen di Stasiun 4 lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan Stasiun lainnya. Hal ini disebabkan oleh perbedaan tekstur sedimen di masing-masing stasiun. Stasiun 4 berada di muara sungai dan mempunyai sedimen dengan tekstur  berupa lumpur berwarna hitam.Kandungan logam Ni lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan yang lain, hal ini menunjukkan adanya masukan sedimen dari Teluk Kendari dan Teluk Lasolo yang terbawa oleh arus, disamping yang berasal dari darat yang masuk melalui aliran sungai. Berdasarkan nilai indeks geoakumulasi (I-geo)sedimen di perairan ini termasuk kategori tidak tercemar oleh Pb, Cu, Zn, dan Ni (I_geo0), dan tercemar sedang oleh Cd (1I_geo2).Namun berdasarkan nilai indeks beban pencemaran (PLI), sedimen di perairan ini belum tercemar oleh logam berat Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn, dan Ni.

Abstract

The abundant potential of fishery products in Aceh has encouraged ship growth to increase. Ship growth continued to increase by 8% over the past 5 years. So as to support the availability of a seaworthy and reliable fishing fleet, the availability and suitability of shipyards are needed at strategic locations. This study aims to determine the strategic location of shipyards for vessels size ≤ 10 GT, ≥ 10-20 GT, ≥ 30 GT in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. Data were collected by interview method and using a questionnaire. The data were accumulated, weighted, and analyzed by Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method using Expert Choice 11. The results showed that the comparison between Peukan Bada Shipyard and Lampulo Shipyard obtained: Peukan Bada Shipyard is suitable for vessels size ≤ 10 GT, ≥ 10-20 GT, ≥ 30 GT, compared to Lampulo Shipyard which is not suitable to be used as a shipyard. The comparison of Peukan Bada Shipyard with Krueng Raya Shipyard obtained the following results: The Peukan Bada Shipyard is suitable for vessels size ≤ 10 GT and ≥ 30 GT, and the Krueng Raya Shipyard is suitable for vessels size ≥ 10–20 GT. Determination of shipyards suitable for the vessels size ≤ 10 GT, ≥ 10-20 GT, ≥ 30 GT through the consideration of several criteria including land area, human resources, sources of raw materials, and facilities owned by each shipyard.Keywords: Wooden shipyard, Analytical Hierarchy Prosess (AHP), Vessel sizeABSTRAKPotensi hasil perikanan yang melimpah di Aceh telah mendorong pertumbuhan kapal semakin meningkat. Pertumbuhan kapal terus mengalami kenaikan sebesar 8% selama 5 tahun terakhir. Sehingga untuk menunjang ketersediaan armada penangkapan yang laik laut dan handal, maka diperlukan ketersediaan dan kesesuaian galangan kapal pada lokasi yang strategis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui letak lokasi galangan kapal yang strategis untuk kapal yang berukuran ≤ 10 GT, ≥ 10 – 20 GT, ≥ 30 GT di Banda Aceh dan Aceh Besar. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara dan menggunakan kuesioner. Data diakumulasikan, diberikan bobot, dan dianalisis dengan metode Analytical Hierarchy Prosess (AHP) menggunakan Software Expert Choice 11.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari perbandingan antara Galangan Peukan Bada dengan Galangan Lampulo diperoleh hasil,  Galangan Peukan Bada sesuai untuk kapal yang berukuran ≤ 10 GT, ≥ 10–20 GT, ≥ 30 GT dibandingkan dengan Galangan Lampulo yang tidak sesuai untuk dijadikan sebagai galangan kapal. Perbandingan Galangan Peukan Bada dengan Galangan Krueng Raya diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut. Galangan Peukan Bada sesuai untuk kapal ≤ 10 GT dan ≥ 30 GT, dan Galangan Krueng Raya sesuai untuk kapal ≥ 10–20 GT. Penentuan galangan kapal yang sesuai untuk ukuran kapal ≤ 10 GT, ≥ 10-20 GT, ≥ 30 GT melalui pertimbangan beberapa kriteria yang meliputi luas lahan, sumber daya manusia, sumber bahan baku, serta fasilitas yang dimiliki oleh masing-masing galangan.Kata kunci: Galangan kapal kayu, Analytical Hierarchy Prosess (AHP), Ukuran kapal

Abstract

Good water quality is extremely important to support life of organisms. The determination of water quality status was needed as reference to monitor water pollution in aquatic system. This study aimed to assess the status of water quality in the Gorontalo Bay. There ware five sampling sites which represented the coastal condition and ecological characteristic. Sampling was carried out in May-July 2017. Sampling procedure of water samples carried out based on APHA standard method. Existing water quality data was analyzed by using STORET method. The result showed that Gorontalo bay obtained total score -39. It means the status of water quality the Gorontalo bay during sampling period in bad category. Kondisi kualitas air suatu perairan yang baik sangat penting untuk mendukung kelulushidupan organisme yang hidup di dalamnya. Penentuan status mutu air perlu dilakukan sebagai acuan dalam melakukan pemantauan pencemaran kualitas air suatu sistem akuatik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji status mutu air di perairan Teluk Gorontalo. Terdapat 5 stasiun pengamatan yang dipilih berdasarkan kondisi pantai dan karakteristik ekologi Teluk Gorontalo. Pengambilan sampel parameter kualitas air dilakukan di sepanjang perairan Teluk Gorontalo pada bulan Mei-Juli 2017. Prosedur pengambilan sampel berdasarkan metode baku APHA. Data kualitas air yang ada kemudian akan dianalisis dengan menggunakan Metode STORET. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Teluk Gorontalo memperoleh total skor -39. Hal ini menunjukkan status mutu Teluk Gorontalo di bulan Mei-Juli tergolong dalam kategori buruk.

Abstract

Aqueous extract of johar leaf contains metabolite compounds such as flavonoids, sponins, tannins, phenols, anthraquinones, anthocyanins, and cardiac glycosides which can be used to substitute commercial antibiotics. The use of aqueous extract of johar leaf has been known to have antibacterial activity in vitro. This study aims to determine the effect of aqueous extract of johar leaves (Senna siamea) injection on survival and blood profile of snakehead fish (Channa striata) in vivo. This research was a laboratory study using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications with a total sample of 75 snakehead fish. The fish in KA, KB, KC and KD groups were injected with aqueous extract of johar leaves with concentrations of 10%, 20%, 40%, and 60% respectively, while in KE group the fish was injected with distilled water (control). The parameters of this study were the survival rate and blood profile of snakehead fish. Blood hematology examination included calculation of erythrocyte count, hemoglobin level, and hematocrit percentage, leukocyte count, and thrombocyte count. The research data obtained were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance and followed by Duncan's Multiple Distance test. Injection of aqueous extract of johar leaf did not affect the survival rate of snakehead fish. However, hemoglobin and platelet levels significant decrease in the group given 60% concentration of aqueous extract of johar leaf. It can be concluded that aqueous extract of johar leaf at a concentration of 10%, 20%, 40% is safe to use in snakehead fish.Keywords:Johar leaves extractSnakehead fishBlood profileSurvival rate

Abstract

As one of the largest archipelagic countries globally, Indonesia has diverse natural resources, one of which is the coral reef ecosystem. Coral reef ecosystems are spread across almost all Indonesian waters, and Pulau Weh Sabang is one distribution area. This study aims to determine the distribution of coral reef ecosystems and test landsat 8 oli imagery accuracy in mapping coral reef ecosystems. The method used in this research is the nearest neighbour algorithm object-based classification method. The results showed that the coral reef ecosystem in Pulau Weh Sabang was divided into two classes: a healthy coral reef ecosystem class with 277.38 hectares and a medium condition coral reef ecosystem class with an area of 710.01 Ha.Keywords:Landsat 8 oliMappingDistributionCoral reefWeh Island

Abstract

Abstract. Skipjack fishing activity in Prigi waters east java at fishing groud of WPP 573 mostly used purse seine and troll line.The aims of the study was to evaluate the fluctuation cacth per unit effort and catch sesaons of  skipjack in Prigi waters as  primary comodity big pelagic yield.. Catch per Unit Effort (CPUE) and IMP were calculated from primary data using vessel trips at port office and secondary data from statistic atPPN Prigi years 2000 – 2011to due analysis with using regretion and microsoft excel. Result showed  value of CPUE higher at 2002 year is 27,9 ton/year and lower at 2001 year is 0,5 ton/year with season pattern that occured higher catch that occured at Juni – Juli and September – Nopember, the peak season at September while famine season that occured at Januari – Mei, Agustus and December.Key words : Pattern Season; Effort; Cakalang; Prigi Waters Abstrak. Kegiatan penangkapan ikan Cakalang (Katsuwonus pelamis) di Perairan Prigi Jawa Timur, daerah penangkapan WPP 573,sebagian besar menggunakan alat tangkap pukat cincin dan pancing tonda.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perkembangan hasil tangkapan per upaya penangkapan dan pola musim yang terjadi di Perairan Prigi khususnya pada perikanan cakalang yang menjadi komoditi utama hasil pelagis besar. Nilai Catch per Unit Effort (CPUE)dan Indeks Musim Penangkapan didapatkan dari data primer dari data trip kapal di syahbandar dan data sekunder berupa data statistik Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara (PPN) Prigi dari tahun 2000 – 2011 yang dilakukan analisis dengan menggunakan regresi sederhana dan menggunakan microsoft excel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai CPUE tertinggi terjadi pada tahun 2002 sebesar 27,9 ton/tahun serta terendah pada tahun 2001 sebesar 0,5 ton/tahun dengan pola musim yaitu hasil tangkapan tinggi/musim tangkapterjadi pada bulan Juni – Juli dan September – Nopember, musim puncak penangkapan terjadi pada bulan September sedangkan musim paceklik terjadi pada bulan  Januari – Mei , Agustus dan Desember.Kata kunci : Pola musim; Upaya; Cakalang; Perairan Prigi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perubahan morfologi pantai yang terjadi sangat cepat terjadi di pesisir pantai Kabupaten Serang dan Kota Serang, Provinsi Banten. Perubahan morfologi pantai yang dimaksud dalam penelitian ini adalah abrasi, akresi, dan reklamasi. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data satelit resolusi spasial sangat tinggi yang disediakan oleh Google Earth untuk tahun 2004, 2015, dan 2019. Perubahan garis pantai dianalisis dengan pendekatan interpretasi visual melalui digitasi pada layar dengan mengunakan aplikasi Google Earth. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan adanya perubahan morfologi pantai yang sangat cepat di seluruh lokasi studi. Dari hasil kajian ini, pesisir pantai Kabupaten Serang terbagi ke dalam tiga zona, yaitu zona reklamasi (dari Desa Salira sampai Desa Terate), zona akresi (dari Desa Tengkurak Sampai Desa Pedaleman), dan zona abrasi (dari Desa Tonjong sampai Desa Lontar). Untuk Kota Serang, proses akresi terjadi di Kelurahan Banten dan Kelurahan Sawahluhur, sedangkan abrasi hanya terjadi di Kelurahan Banten. Proses abrasi yang terjadi di bagian tengah Kabupaten Serang mencapai 135 ha pada tahun 2019. Tingkat abrasi tertinggi terjadi di Desa Domas dengan rata-rata kehilangan daratan sebesar 4 ha per tahun. Akresi terjadi khususnya di wilayah paling timur Kabupaten Serang, terjadi akibat proses sedimentasi yang tinggi dari Sungai Ciujung, dengan luas lahan tanah timbul mencapai 260,19 ha sampai dengan tahun 2019. Adapun kegiatan reklamasi berlangsung khususnya di bagian barat Teluk Banten dimana area tersebut dikembangkan untuk zona industri, dengan luas areal lahan yang direklamasi mencapai 344,43 ha sampai dengan tahun 2019. Studi ini juga telah mampu mengidentifikasi proses bergabungnya dua pulau kecil di Teluk Banten, menjadi bagian dari Pulau Jawa, karena proses reklamasi yang masif

Abstract

This study aimed to obtain information mangrove ecological index in Mare Island, Tidore Kepulauan, North Maluku. Collecting data in 2015, divided into three locations were determined based representation and the representation of mangrove. The sampling of mangrove using "line transect quadrant". The results obtained by mangrove thickness between 85-150 meters with 5 types of 3 families mangrove. Rhizophora mangrove species are found most dominating every station. Mangrove ecological index categories density, frequency, cover and species diversity is highest at the station I. While important value criteria at each station are 300. Analysis of vegetation mangrove species at each station obtained density, frequency, species diversity and the importance of the highest species is Rhizophora apicullata, then cover the highest species is Sonneratia alba. Overall results of observation and analysis, illustrating that the condition of mangroves on the island of Mare in the category of low/sparse.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi indeks ekologi mangrove di Pulau Mare, Tidore Kepulauan, Maluku Utara. Pengambilan data pada tahun 2015 yang terbagi atas tiga lokasi yang ditetapkan berdasarkan keterwakilan dan reprsentasi mangrove. Pengambilan contoh mangrove, di lakukan dengan menggunakan metode “line transect quadrant”. Hasil penelitian diperoleh ketebalan mangrove diantara 85-150 meter  dengan 5 jenis dari 3 famili mangrove. Jenis mangrove Rhizophora ditemukan paling mendominasi disetiap stasiun. Indeks ekologi mangrove kategori kerapatan, frekuensi, tutupan dan keanekaragaman jenis paling tinggi terdapat di stasiun satu. Sedangkan kriteria nilai penting pada setiap stasiun adalah 300. Analisis vegetasi jenis mangrove pada setiap stasiun diperoleh kerapatan, frekuensi, keanekaragaman jenis dan nilai penting jenis tertinggi adalah Rhizophora apicullata, kemudian tutupan jenis tertinggi adalah Sonneratia alba. Keseluruhan hasil pengamatan dan analisis, menggambarkan bahwa kondisi mangrove di pulau Mare masuk dalam kategori rendah.

Abstract

One type of shrimp that is quite potential to be developed is the vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). This cultivation is developing with intensive technology. This study aims to analyze the relationship between water quality and total hemocyte shrimp in vannamei shrimp aquaculture ponds. Parameters measured include physical and chemical parameters, namely temperature, brightness, pH, dissolved oxygen, TSS, BOD, ammonia. while to see the health of shrimp seen by calculating the total hemocytes (THC) of shrimp. The results showed that the overall range of water quality obtained was still in a suitable condition for cultivation activities, while the highest hemocyte value was obtained from the sample in the 3rd sampling which reached a value of 3.74 x 106 mg/l. Based on the results of the linear regression test, it was found that the TSS and BOD parameters were significantly correlated with total hemocytes in vannamei shrimp (Sig. 0.05), it can be concluded that the relationship between water quality parameters that affect total hemocyte is BOD and TSS
