Abstract

This study aims to find out the use of assertive techniques in increasing students' assertiveness through group counseling services, group counseling services include four stages, namely the Formation Stage, Transition Stage, Core Stage and Termination. This technique helps students pass through three main stages, namely the pre-counseling stage, counseling and post-counseling. The results of the research from assertive techniques are very effective. The results of this study indicate that the factual condition of students' assertiveness after participating in the Assertive Training process has experienced a significant increase, which is indicated by students being able to respect the rights of themselves and others, dare to express opinions in advance. In general, at the time of learning and in association, honest with oneself and others, able to determine attitudes by paying attention to the surrounding situation and conditions.

Abstract

This activity aims to increase the responsible behavior of ninth-grade students of SMP YPS Singkole. The design used group counseling with a solution-focused brief counseling approach (questioning technique). This activity involved a guidance and counseling teacher with six students. The stages in this activity were the initial stage, the intermediate stage, the core stage, and the final stage. The group counseling process is initiated by identifying problems, setting goals, designing interventions using questioning techniques, and assigning strategies for sustaining changes. Subsequently, identifying indicators of behavior change and motivating students so that behavior change remains constant, and evaluating them as the final stage of counseling. Thus, students were able to enhance responsible behavior in learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Learning anxiety is a feeling that arises when a person is unable to control himself or is helpless in certain circumstances. Usually, people who experience anxiety have several reactions, such as a racing heart, tension, and even emotion. anxiety becomes an obstacle in the learning process that can reduce the performance of a person's cognitive functions, such as in concentrating, remembering, forming concepts and solving problems. The humanistic existential approach is a theory that focuses on the human condition which focuses on an attitude that emphasizes an understanding of humans. The existential approach also directs individuals to become more aware that they have the freedom to choose and act, and then helps them make life choices that enable them to actualize themselves and achieve a meaningful life. Existential therapy can help counselees to be able to deal with the anxiety of choosing for themselves and then accept the reality that they are more than just victims of the power of determining outside themselves.

Abstract

This study developed truth and dare monopoly counseling guidance media to increase self-confidence in students. The focus of this research is: 1) How is the description of the service needs of the truth and dare game counseling guidance media effective in increasing self-confidence in students at SMP Negeri 8 Makassar ?, 2) What is the level of validity of the truth and dare game monopoly game counseling guidance media to be applied to students at SMP Negeri 8 Makassar ?, 3) What is the level of acceptance of the truth and dare monopoly game counseling guidance media to be applied to students at SMP Negeri 8 Makassar? The purpose of this study was to find out: 1) Knowing the description of the service needs of the truth and dare monopoly game counseling guidance media is effective in increasing self-confidence in students at SMP Negeri 8 Makassar, 2) Knowing the level of validity of the truth and dare game counseling guidance media for applied to students at SMP Negeri 8 Makassar, 3) Knowing the level of acceptance of the truth and dare monopoly game counseling guidance media to be applied to students at SMP Negeri 8 Makassar. This study uses the Research and Development (RnD) research method, by collaborating qualitative and quantitative research. The data collection technique used was the Material and Media Expert Validation Sheet to determine the validity of the media and the Student Response Questionnaire. The analysis technique used is the form and descriptive analysis technique. So the results showed that the truth and dare monopoly developed was valid and practically used for providing guidance and counseling services at SMP Negeri 8 Makassar

Abstract

Abstrack. This study aims  to determine the effectiveness of using Cognitive Restructuring Techniques in reducing speaking anxiety through group counseling services. This research approach is qualitative. This type of research uses Guidance and Counseling Action Research. The group counseling service carried out includes four stages, namely the initial, transition, core and termination stages and for the Cognitive Restructuring Technique it has 6 stages which generally help students replace negative thoughts that make anxious thoughts more positive. The object of this research is 8 students of 9th grade who experience speaking anxiety. The results showed that the application of Cognitive Restructuring techniques can reduce speaking anxiety which is indicated by changes in student behavior and being able to think of more realistic, rational and positive statements when faced with speaking conditions or situations in front of the other peoples.

Abstract

The purpose of implementing this individual counseling is to find out the effectiveness of cognitive restructuring techniques to increase student learning motivation at SMP Negeri 3 Palu. The background of the problem encountered is a decrease in the learning motivation of students who are affected by negative thoughts that arise in them. The focus of this problem emphasizes the negative thoughts of students that arise and are then changed to positive thoughts. The step taken by the counselor is to use the Cognitive Restructuring Technique with the initial stages of identifying negative thoughts that arise and then training students in changing negative thoughts into positive thoughts.

Abstract

The habit of students being late for school causes several negative impacts, these impacts greatly affect the teaching and learning process and furthermore will affect student learning outcomes making academic achievement decline. Group counseling service with a solution focused brief counseling approach with a total of 6 counselees is an activity design that will be implemented. Solution focused brief counseling is an approach based on the potential and strengths of the counselee that focuses on solutions and the future, carried out in a short time because the exploration of the problem becomes shorter. The goal is group counseling with a solution focused brief counseling approach to overcome students' tardiness. The results of group counseling activities show that the counselee is gradually changing, namely starting to arrive on time to school. Thus, it can be concluded that group counseling with a solution focused brief counseling approach can overcome the habit of being late for students at SMAN 7 Takalar.

Abstract

The research objectives describe:1.The task profile of students' developmental achievement in class XI SMAN 3 Mukomuko. 2.Implementation of group guidance in helping the achievement of developmental tasks carried out by the Guidance and Counseling Teacher. 3.The group guidance service design model using the cinema therapy method in helping the achievement of student developmental tasks. This study uses a mixed method. Dataanalysis techniques for Development Task Inventory(ITP). While qualitative research,techniques used in data processing through data reduction,data presentation and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of research the following conclusions can be drawn:1.The profile of the task of achieving the development of students in class XI of SMAN 3 Mukomuko seen from the Inventory of Development Tasks is generally at the level of self-awareness. 2.Implementation of group guidance in assisting the achievement of developmental tasks carried out by the Guidance and Counseling Teacher,providing monotonous group guidance, discussions, homeroom. 3.Thedesign model of group guidance services using the cinema therapy method in helping the achievement of student developmental tasks. Based on the results of the research,it can be recommended that the Guidance and Counseling Teachers be able to apply the group guidance service design model using the cinema therapy method.

Abstract

Siswa ketika berada di sekolah sering mengalami masalah. Masalah yang dialami juga cukup beragam, mulai masalah pribadi, sosial, belajar maupun karir. Dengan adanya permasalahan-permasalahan tersebut membuat siswa merasa terganggu dan tidak nyaman bahkan mempengaruhi nilai serta kegiatan belajarnya di sekolah. Beberapa siswa mengalami permasalah berkaitan dengan persepsi-persepsi negatifnya terhadap sesuatu hal, baik itu terhadap guru maupun persepsi negatif terhadap temannya, sehingga membuatnya terganggu dan menimbulkan penurunan nilai dibeberapa mata pelajaran. Dengan adanya masalah tersebut, konselor memberikan layanan konseling individu dengan pendekatan Cognitive Behavior Therapy dengan teknik restrukturisasi kognitif. Untuk teknik restrukturisasi kognitif ini terdiri dari enam tahapan, diantaranya: tahap rasional, identifikasi pikiran konseli, pengenalan dan latihan coping thought, peralihan dari pikiran-pikiran negatif ke coping thought, pengenalan dan latihan penguatan positif, serta yang terakhir tugas rumah dan tindak lanjut. Dengan penerapan teknik ini, dapat merubah pemikirian atau persepsi negatif siswa menjadi lebih positif. Hal ini terjadi pada siklus 1, siklus 2, dan juga siklus 3 dimana siswa mampu mengubah persepsi negatifnya menjadi lebih positif.

Setelah mengikuti pelaksanaan layanan konseling kelompok, konseli mampu membuat perencanaan.
