Abstract

The use of e-wallets among in Koto Lanang Village, with a population of 1,173, shows that younger generations (aged 5-39) are more adept at using new technologies. In contrast, older generations, particularly baby boomers (aged 60-78), tend to be less interested in technological innovations, including e-wallets. This study aims to examine whether ease of use, benefits, and security influence the intention to use e-wallets among baby boomers in Koto Lanang Village. This research uses a quantitative approach with an associative research type. The study population consists of 203 individuals, with a sample size of 50 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, as well as classical assumption tests. Data analysis techniques include descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression, along with hypothesis testing (t-test and F-test). The analysis results are expected to show the extent to which the three independent variables, both partially and simultaneously, affect the intention to use e-wallets among the baby boomer generation in Koto Lanang Village. The results of this study indicate that ease of use, benefits, and security have a positive and significant impact on the intention to use e-wallets among the residents of Koto Lanang Village. Partial testing (t-test) shows that all three independent variables have a t-value greater than the t-table and a significance level of < 0.05, namely ease of use (t = 2.478; sig = 0.017), benefits (t = 2.777; sig = 0.008), and security (t = 2.157; sig = 0.036). Simultaneously, the F-test results show an F-value of 21.138 > F-table 2.80 with a significance of 0.000, meaning that the three variables collectively have a significant influence on the intention. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.580 indicates that 58% of the variation in the intention to use e-wallets can be explained by the three variables. These findings emphasize the importance of ease of use, practical benefits, and transaction security as key factors in promoting e-wallet adoption in Koto Lanang Village.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the challenges in optimizing village fund management in Nagari Muara Inderapura, Pesisir Selatan Regency. Village fund management plays a crucial role in supporting infrastructure development and community empowerment at the nagari level. However, its implementation still faces various challenges that hinder effective and targeted fund management. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a field study approach through interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings reveal several key challenges, including the lack of human resource skills, changes in village fund regulations, limited annual budget allocations, and insufficient workforce at the nagari level. On the other hand, infrastructure development has shown positive impacts on the community. These findings highlight the need to improve the capacity of nagari officials, ensure policy flexibility in fund allocation, and strengthen community participation in planning and implementation processes. The implications of this study emphasize that achieving optimal village fund management requires synergy between the nagari government, local communities, and higher-level authorities to ensure effective and sustainable village development.

Abstract

The use of environmentally friendly fishing gear has been proven to have a positive impact not only on the aquatic ecosystem in the conservation areas of Agam Regency but also on the economic aspects of fishermen. The use of selective fishing gear can reduce over-exploitation of fish stocks, which ultimately creates a sustainable fisheries system. The aim of this study is to educate the use of bagan (fish trap) technology to improve the economy of fishermen in a better and more sustainable way. The method used is research development, utilizing primary and secondary data through questionnaires, surveys, and structured interviews. The results of the study indicate that the integration of this technology is also in line with the principles of blue economy and marine conservation, where the balance between utilization and preservation is the key focus. Intensive training and mentoring from government institutions, as well as multi-stakeholder collaboration, are key factors in the success of this implementation. However, the main challenge lies in the aspects of socialization and availability of tools. Further efforts in the form of continuous education and more affordable financing schemes are needed so that all fishermen can fully transition without concerns about short-term economic aspects.

Abstract

Chemistry instruction in high schools still tends to emphasize the product aspect of knowledge while neglecting the scientific process, which is essential for developing students’ conceptual understanding. The lack of process-oriented instructional materials also contributes to students’ low process skills. To address this issue, this study aims to develop a guided inquiry-based chemistry learning module on the topic of hydrocarbons and to evaluate its practicality in classroom learning. This research employed the 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) involving expert validation and field testing. The research subjects were tenth-grade high school students. Data were collected through teacher and student response questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics and Cohen’s Kappa formula. The results showed that the developed module demonstrated a very high level of practicality, with a Kappa value of 0.85 from teachers and 0.82 from students. These findings indicate that the guided inquiry-based module is effectively applicable in chemistry instruction and supports students in constructing conceptual understanding independently. Therefore, the module can serve as a practical alternative instructional resource that enhances meaningful chemistry learning.

Abstract

Financial literacy is an essential competency for the younger generation in facing the challenges of the modern economy. Unfortunately, the level of financial literacy in Indonesia remains relatively low, including among university students. This community service program aims to enhance the financial literacy knowledge and skills of students at STIKes Bina Insani Sakti through educational synergy with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) of Jambi Province. The event was held on May 27, 2025, in the form of a socialization session using an interactive lecture approach, complemented by pre-test and post-test evaluations. The topics covered included personal financial management, the dangers of illegal online loans and online gambling, investment principles, and an introduction to capital market instruments. The pre-test results indicated that the participants' initial understanding was low, but after the educational intervention, there was a significant improvement, particularly in financial management and risk understanding. The post-test results showed an average improvement of 12% across all tested aspects. This program demonstrates that a collaborative approach between educational institutions and financial regulators is effective in enhancing students' financial literacy. In the future, similar activities are expected to reach a wider target audience and enrich educational content to create a financially literate society in Jambi.
