Abstract

The research was conducted to determine students' mathematical communication skills and their influence on mathematics education, consisting of 3 questions about number patterns. The instrument has gone through question validation, then given to class VIII students at one of the Pekanbaru MTS with procedures including: 1). Planning, 2). Implement, and 3). Assessing Results. The subjects in this research were 14 eighth grade students from the MTS Pekanbaru school. The approach to this research is descriptive and quantitative, and uses data collection techniques such as observation, data collected from test instruments, and errors in completion. The student's communication skills are in the "medium" category as shown by the research results.

Abstract

The Constitution states that education is an effort to make the nation's life more intelligent and is a continuous teaching and learning activity. And education is also one of the best and most ideal ways to improve the human quality of the world's population. Moreover, Islamic Religious Education. Because, Islamic religious education is a form of education that must be taken by every student in the world, especially those who are Muslim. Therefore, educators must pay more attention to this field of education. The choice of media, strategies, teaching materials and teaching modules is also very important when the learning process takes place. An educator must also be able to use various forms of technology available today. Because, it cannot be denied that students nowadays cannot be separated from technology. The research method used in this research is the literature study method (Bibliography). By turning books, journals and websites regarding Islamic Religious Education and educational technology for PAI learning into secondary data. and the events that the author encountered in the field became the primary data. There are many forms of technology that can be used in the Islamic Religious Education learning process, such as multi-media, internet, Microsoft Office Power Point and various other technologies. From this research it can be concluded that technology plays a very important role in Islamic Religious Education, including one of its roles: explaining concepts that are difficult to understand, showing objects that are too big or too small and so on.

Abstract

This research aims to improve and develop students' abilities to learn how to think critically in finding solutions to problems. Based learning strategy is a learning strategy that invites students to learn independently, carry out discussions, find solutions to solve problems and be able to draw conclusions. This research aims to examine more deeply problem-based learning strategies so that students can develop their abilities to overcome complex and diverse problems. The data collection used by researchers is a literature study by studying and citing several sources from textbooks, articles, journals, modules and other publications. The use of this learning strategy is expected to improve students' problem solving abilities.

Abstract

This research discusses the potential in the learning process of affective strategies as an effort to improve student engagement and learning quality. The affective strategy approach emphasizes the development of students' social and emotional skills, as well as strengthening positive relationships between teachers and students. The research method involves analyzing the literature to understand the concept of affective strategies in the context of learning. Findings show that the implementation of affective strategies can result in improvements in learning motivation, social interaction, and academic achievement. However, challenges related to the integration of affective strategies in the curriculum and classroom management were also identified. Implications of this study include the importance of teacher training in the implementation of affective strategies, as well as the active role of students in utilizing the learning potential presented by this approach.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to discuss the analysis of high school students' self-efficacy in learning mathematics. This research is qualitative research that uses descriptive methods. The instrument used is a non-test instrument, namely a questionnaire. Through the use of a mathematical self-efficacy questionnaire with 30 statements consisting of 10 indicators. The descriptive qualitative research method involved 27 high school students in Kampar. Based on the questionnaire data, it can be concluded that accumulated self-efficacy in mathematics learning is 37.27% in the low category. In percentage terms, it can be described that the indicator of being able to overcome the problems faced is 38.5% in the low category, the indicator of being confident in one's success is 33.17% in the low category, the indicator of having a positive view of the task is 47.74% in the low category , the indicator of being brave enough to face challenges is 42.2% in the low category, the indicator of being brave enough to take risks is 38.55% in the low category, the indicator of being aware of one's strengths and weaknesses is 35.5% in the low category, the indicator of being able to interact with people is 36, 21% in the low category, the indicator of not giving up easily is 40% in the low category, the indicator of having commitment to the tasks given is 28.88% in the low category, the indicator of having great interest in lessons and assignments is 31.96% in the low category.

Abstract

The research was initiated in response to the increasing number of violations committed by media organizations, particularly those relating to violations of media ethics rules. Up to 30% of code of conduct violations are committed by online media. The Press Council said the number of news complaints reached more than 500 complaints throughout 2012, 98 of which were related to online media. As many as 76% of complaints related to violations of the Code of Ethics for Journalists. Technological advances along with the rapid development of social media have made it easier for people to disseminate information, ranging from writing, reporting, to disseminating information encountered in everyday life. In creating information, it is necessary to understand the journalistic code of ethics so that the content shared does not cause new conflicts in society. This research was conducted to examine how the Code of Journalistic Ethics is applied to the Twitter account TRIBUN LOTTO21GROUP as a citizen journalism media. Abstract

This study seeks to assess the assessment capabilities of students in our evaluation process conducted at SD Negeri 060852 Medan. It falls under the category of classroom action research, focusing on evaluating learning outcomes systematically to gauge achievement of predetermined educational goals. The objective is to gather data to measure student progress, development, and the effectiveness of teaching. Findings reveal that teachers at SD Negeri 060852 Medan implement evaluations following repeated lessons. Subsequently, they employ observational tools to guide students in self-discovery before providing explanations.

Abstract

Mathematics is a fundamental science that underpins many aspects of daily life. Where mathematics can be used as a method of solving problems that we face in life activities, such as in using information, knowledge and seeing and using relationships between objects. Not only that, the important role of mathematics includes the formation and development of rational, logical, systematic and critical thinking skills. In the study conducted by Putrihapsari and Fauziah (2020), Nazir (2014) defines literature study as a research approach that involves evaluating a multitude of literature studies that are pertinent to the research being conducted. This strategy is employed in research as a preliminary stage to organise the investigation by gathering data from literature in the subject, without the necessity for direct involvement. By using the PjBL model, it is hoped that it can cover 21st century skills so that it can improve the quality of students' mathematical literacy skills. Given that students must collaborate from the outset, the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning paradigm may assist them in developing the skills required to work effectively in groups. In order for students to comprehend the rationale and benefits of the mathematics education they receive in the classroom, this learning paradigm is essential for fostering mathematical literacy.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of choir extracurricular activities at Adabiah Middle School in Padang. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The object of the research is the implementation of choir extracurricular activities at Adabiah Middle School in Padang. The research instrument is the researcher himself and is assisted by supporting instruments. Data analysis techniques by collecting data, clarifying data and concluding data. This research shows that the results of the extracurricular choir implementation at Adabiah Padang Middle School went quite well. This program is designed through structured stages, starting from providing information to students, registration, designing and determining the schedule, to selecting and presenting songs as well as grouping two types of high and low voices in the soprano and alto ranges. Each practice session includes teaching choral concepts, breathing techniques, voice production, and practice of the song "Satu Nusa Satu Bangsa." The evaluation showed that there were challenges in the distribution of sounds and vocal techniques, but overall this activity was successful in improving students' vocal skills, self-confidence and appreciation for the art of vocal music. This success is supported by effective collaboration between trainers and arts and culture teachers, ensuring smooth implementation and achieving satisfactory results based on harmonization, precision of tone and soulfulness of the song. The final results show that the choir extracurricular program at Adabiah Middle School in Padang has succeeded in achieving the expected goals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa kelas IV di SD 101764 Bandar Klippa melalui penerapan metode diskusi kelompok. Minat baca yang rendah dapat berdampak pada prestasi akademik dan kemampuan literasi siswa. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan upaya untuk meningkatkannya sejak dini. Metode diskusi dipilih karena dapat menciptakan suasana belajar yang aktif, interaktif, dan menyenangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 25 siswa kelas IV SDN 101764 Bandar Klippa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat baca siswa setelah diterapkannya metode diskusi. Pada siklus I, persentase siswa yang berminat membaca adalah 64%, kemudian meningkat menjadi 88% pada siklus II. Kesimpulannya, penerapan metode diskusi dalam pembelajaran terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa kelas IV.
