Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed tourist behavior, particularly in how they independently plan their trips. AI-based applications such as Travel-X have emerged as modern solutions to automatically generate personalized travel itineraries. This study aims to explore user experiences and perceptions of the Smart Itinerary feature within the Travel-X application, designed to provide efficient, personalized, and optimized travel planning. This research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing in-depth interviews with ten informants who have used the Smart Itinerary feature within the past three months. Thematic analysis was employed to identify narrative patterns emerging from user experiences. The findings indicate that the Smart Itinerary feature greatly assists users in creating structured and time-efficient travel plans. While users appreciated the system’s practicality and organization, some noted the need for improved recommendation personalization and flexibility in adjusting plans. Additionally, the study uncovered emotional engagement and user loyalty toward the application. These findings suggest that the success of AI systems in the digital tourism sector relies not only on technical accuracy but also on the system’s ability to understand users' subjective needs.

Abstract

PLN continues to adapt to technological developments through digital transformation strategies designed to improve operational efficiency and support key performance indicator (KPI) achievement. One operational process is Electricity Usage Control (P2TL) which directly contributes to company KPIs. In mid-2024, PLN UID KALTIMRA implemented the Efficiency Program Monitoring (EPM) application as digitalization to enhance customer inspection effectiveness and monitor field officer performance. Despite expectations that EPM would improve P2TL effectiveness, field findings showed decreased inspection results. This study aims to analyze factors influencing EPM implementation effectiveness and its impact on P2TL kWh realization and job satisfaction. Using a quantitative approach with case study strategy and survey design, primary data was collected through questionnaires to all field officers and relevant staff, while secondary data came from PLN UID KALTIMRA internal reports, analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Results show that application stability, process-technology fit, and user-friendliness positively affect digitalization effectiveness, while management support has no significant effect. EPM implementation effectiveness significantly affects job satisfaction but does not influence P2TL kWh realization improvement. This indicates that digitalization success depends not only on technology adoption but also on process alignment and user engagement.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Social Media Marketing Activities (SMMAs) on purchase decisions, mediated by Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM) and perceived value, in the context of Compass as one of the leading local sneaker brands in Indonesia. The rapid growth of the creative economy in Indonesia and the dominance of digital platforms in consumer behavior make understanding the role of social media in shaping purchasing decisions even more important. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method to analyze data from 384 respondents who knew about the existence of Compass on social media. The results show that Social Media Marketing Activities (SMMAs) have a significant effect on Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM) and perceived value, where interactive content and following trends are the main drivers of consumer engagement. Furthermore, Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM) has been proven to have a significant mediating effect between Social Media Marketing Activities (SMMAs) and perceived value by strengthening consumer trust and perception of brands. Perceived value is also an important determinant in purchasing decisions, including functional, emotional, and social dimensions. While Compass already has a strong level of digital engagement, it has been found that there are gaps in functional value and price perceptions that are areas for strategic improvement. This research contributes theoretically by integrating the consumer behavior framework with the concept of digital marketing, as well as providing practical implications for fashion brands in utilizing social media to strengthen consumer decision-making pathways in the competitive sneakers market.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of social media marketing (SMM) consisting of entertainment, interaction, trendiness, customization, and electronic word of mouth (eWOM) on brand loyalty for GT Man underwear products. Additionally, it explores the mediating roles of cognitive engagement, emotional engagement, brand trust, and brand equity in enhancing the relationship between SMM and brand loyalty. A quantitative approach was employed using structural equation modeling-partial least squares (SEM-PLS) through SmartPLS 4.0. Data were collected from 400 social media users familiar with GT Man to test both direct and indirect effects among the proposed constructs. The findings indicate that all dimensions of SMM significantly affect the mediating variables and brand loyalty. The strongest direct effect is found between SMM and brand trust, suggesting that consistent, authentic, and responsive social media communication builds greater trust in GT Man. In terms of mediation, cognitive engagement and brand trust serve as the most influential mediators in the formation of brand loyalty. While emotional engagement and brand equity have relatively weaker indirect effects, they still play a significant role in strengthening the impact of SMM. This research contributes to the theoretical understanding of how psychological engagement and brand perceptions shape loyalty in a digital environment. Practically, it suggests that GT Man should develop more educational, emotionally resonant, and interactive social media content to reinforce trust, perceived value, and long-term customer loyalty.

Abstract

Bali as a leading tourism destination has experienced significant growth in the tourism sector. Ubud, the cultural and spiritual center of Gianyar Regency, attracts domestic and international tourists. However, there are still vacant lands in the Ubud tourism zone that have not been optimally utilized, including an area of 2,700 m² in Banjar Laplapan, Petulu Village. This study aims to determine the most optimal land use using the Highest and Best Use (HBU) analysis which evaluates alternative land use based on physical possibilities, legal permits, financial feasibility, and maximum productivity. The research method used mixed method with Sequential Explanatory Design, evaluating three scenarios: villas, restaurants, and sports studios using Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Payback Period (PP). The results show that villa development is the most feasible choice with an NPV of IDR 639,557,915, an IRR of 57.83%, and a PP of 1.71 years. The restaurant scenario is still feasible with an NPV of IDR 162,038,471, an IRR of 54.26%, and a PP of 1.82 years. The sports studio scenario is not feasible with a negative NPV of -IDR 4,921,141,243, IRR -8.48%, and a PP exceeding 10 years. Based on the HBU criteria, villa development provides the highest value and is recommended as the best alternative.

Abstract

Indonesia's telecommunications sector serves as a key catalyst for economic growth and technological advancement in the era of globalization and Industry 4.0, with digital transformation acting as the primary force behind these changes. This study aims to analyze the influence of leverage, profitability, sales growth, and corporate social responsibility on financial distress. Furthermore, this research seeks to evaluate the role of institutional ownership as a moderating variable in affecting the relationship between these factors and financial distress. The method used in this study is Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with E-Views 12 software. The population in this study consists of 22 telecommunication companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2019-2023 period and the sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The results show that leverage, profitability, sales growth has a significant negative effect on financial distress, while corporate social responsibility do not affect financial distress. Institutional ownership can moderate the influence of leverage and sales growth on financial distress but cannot moderate the effect of profitability and corporate social responsibility on financial distress.

Abstract

This research analyzes economic dualism in Rengasdengklok from the Japanese colonial period to the modern era, using a historical approach to explore the socio-economic changes. The research methods include heuristics for historical data collection, source criticism to evaluate information validity, data interpretation in a socio-economic context, and historiography to compile a systematic narrative. Economic dualism reflects the existence of two different systems-traditional and traditional, operating simultaneously. During the colonial period, Dutch colonial policy emphasized exploiting resources for export, while the Japanese focused on production for military needs. The results show that while the modern sector is thriving, the traditional sector remains the main foundation of local communities. This dualism creates challenges of inequality and dependence on modern markets but also presents opportunities for tradition-based innovation. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of inclusive policies that integrate the traditional and modern sectors for sustainable economic development.

Abstract

This study examines strategies to improve cooperative efficiency and performance through the integration of financial inclusion (FI), debt-to-income ratio (DTI), loan-to-value ratio (LTV), individual liquidity (LIQ), and non-performing loan (NPL) control. Using data from 705 cooperative members, the research applies multiple linear regression, Sobel mediation test, and PROCESS Model 4 (Hayes, 2022). The results show that financial inclusion significantly reduces NPL (? = -0.401), while both DTI and LTV increase the risk of NPL. NPL acts as a partial mediator in the relationship between financial variables and cooperative performance. The study highlights that financial inclusion is the most significant protective factor against NPL, whereas LTV is the primary risk factor. These findings contribute to the cooperative management literature by providing empirical evidence of the mediating role of NPL and offering strategic recommendations for the sustainable development of cooperatives. By focusing on integrated risk management approaches, cooperatives can improve financial inclusion, reduce NPL risks, and enhance overall performance, ensuring long-term sustainability in the competitive financial landscape. This research underscores the importance of considering both financial inclusion and risk factors when managing cooperatives for improved operational outcomes.
