Abstract

This study examines transformational leadership strategies for enhancing field team engagement at PT Tekno Buana Globalindo, a company operating in the Oil & Gas Service sector with a focus on clean water treatment and waste management. Field teams play a critical role in the company’s operational success, yet they often face challenges such as limited training, ineffective communication, lack of decision-making autonomy, and insufficiently motivating reward systems. Using a quantitative approach with an associative–explanatory design, data were collected from 146 field team members through questionnaires and interviews. The analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to identify relationships between transformational leadership dimensions and employee engagement. The findings reveal that transformational leadership significantly influences employee engagement indirectly through three primary pathways: education, empowerment, and reward-recognition. Education emerged as the strongest driver, highlighting the importance of structured and context-relevant training in building skills and confidence. Empowerment, when implemented progressively and supported by adequate frameworks, was found to enhance autonomy and responsibility among employees, while recognition systems required contextual redesign to strengthen motivation and reduce turnover. The study provides theoretical contributions to the literature on transformational leadership in decentralized and high-risk industries, and practical insights for managers seeking to build adaptive, engaged, and sustainable field teams.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of exports and imports on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Maluku Province using the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) approach. Time series data were tested for stationarity using the Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) test, which showed that GRDP, exports, and imports are stationary at the first difference. The Johansen cointegration test confirmed a long-run equilibrium relationship among the three variables, while the optimal lag length was determined to be four periods. Granger causality tests indicated a one-way causality from GRDP to exports and from imports to GRDP. The VECM estimation revealed that, in the long term, exports have a positive and significant effect on GRDP, with a 1% increase in exports leading to a 0.062362% rise in GRDP. In contrast, imports have a negative but statistically insignificant effect, where a 1% increase in imports corresponds to a 0.075382% decrease in GRDP. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening the export sector to drive economic growth in Maluku Province, while the impact of imports should be managed to prevent adverse effects on sustainable GRDP growth.

Abstract

It is indicated that art education in Indonesian schools is considered less important by policymakers or curriculum developers compared to other subjects such as mathematics, science, and English. As a result, art teachers in elementary schools often carry out their teaching without seriousness or alignment with the intended learning objectives. This study employs the "Action Research" method, in which elementary school teachers responsible for teaching visual arts are given teaching interventions and then guided through reflection. The findings reveal that after undergoing the intervention, evaluation, and reflection, elementary school teachers experienced an increase in their spirituality when teaching visual arts.

Abstract

The childfree phenomenon—voluntarily choosing not to have children—has emerged as a controversial lifestyle choice in Indonesia, generating significant discourse around reproductive autonomy, cultural values, and mental well-being. This study examines the Culture Shock Childfree Phenomenon in Indonesia from A Biopsychological and Humanistic Perspective, analyzing it through integrated biopsychological and Maslow’s humanistic theoretical frameworks. Employing a library research methodology, this study systematically reviews and synthesizes scholarly literature, including peer-reviewed journal articles, books, and empirical studies from multiple databases, to construct a comprehensive theoretical analysis. The biopsychological perspective reveals that childfree decisions are influenced by complex interactions between reproductive health conditions, neurobiological factors, environmental contexts, and psychological characteristics across physiological, ontogenetic, evolutionary, and functional dimensions. Maslow’s humanistic framework demonstrates that contemporary redefinitions of human needs position childfree choices as expressions of self-actualization and personal autonomy rather than deficiencies. However, Indonesia’s collectivist cultural orientation generates substantial social stigma and psychological pressure against childfree individuals, resulting in culture shock experiences characterized by value conflicts, social isolation, and identity negotiation. The findings suggest that childfree individuals in Indonesia navigate tensions between personal autonomy and cultural expectations, requiring mental health support systems and broader societal awareness to reduce stigmatization. This research contributes theoretically by integrating biological and humanistic perspectives on reproductive choice, and practically by informing counseling approaches and social policies that respect reproductive diversity while acknowledging cultural contexts.

Abstract

Radio Direction Finding (DF) and geolocation technologies are important for communication, modern navigation, and defense systems. While the foundational techniques have existed for over a century, they are increasingly challenged by modern electromagnetic environments. The growing complexity from signal multipath, widespread radio frequency interference (RFI), and the demand for higher precision strain the limits of these traditional methods. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the state-of-the-art in radio DF and geolocation, synthesizing recent scientific literature to map its evolution and current trajectory. This review also identifies the movement away from conventional, algorithm-based approaches and toward integrated, intelligent systems that dynamically adapt to their surrounding environments. Our systematic survey of recent literature from credible and updated databases identifies new technologies, key trends, and ongoing challenges in the field. The main finding is that the field is increasingly reliant on the synergistic fusion of advanced antenna architectures, hybrid multi-platform network configurations, and, most critically, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to overcome the physical limitations of radio wave propagation. This synthesis highlights how AI is revolutionizing everything from spectrum sensing and RFI mitigation to signal classification and system optimization, paving the way for real-time, adaptive, and high-precision localization systems with a degree of robustness previously unattainable.

Abstract

This research analyzes strategies for enhancing Service Continuity through the integration of Organizational Resilience (OR) and Business Continuity Management (BCM), with Digital Technology as a moderating variable. The study focuses on PT. ABC, a heavy equipment rental company operating in a critical sector that faces operational challenges arising from supply chain disruptions, manual systems, and limited digital coordination. These circumstances necessitate the implementation of an organizational resilience strategy capable of ensuring sustainable service continuity. A quantitative approach was adopted using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The OR construct is modeled as a second-order formative construct comprising four dimensions: Anticipation, Readiness to Respond, Synchronization, and Proactive Learning. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed among respondents directly involved in the company’s risk management and operational activities. The analysis is further supported by Importance–Performance Map Analysis (IPMA) to identify strategic priorities for improving service performance. The results reveal that OR significantly influences BCM, and that BCM has both direct and indirect (mediating) effects on Service Continuity. Moreover, Digital Technology strengthens the relationship between BCM and Service Continuity, demonstrating that the integration of cloud-based systems, real-time monitoring, and digital access enhances organizational responsiveness to disruptions. Among the OR dimensions, Readiness to Respond and Proactive Learning emerge as key factors in service performance improvement. In conclusion, the integration of Organizational Resilience and Business Continuity Management, supported by the adoption of digital technology, substantially enhances resilience and service sustainability within critical operational sectors.

Abstract

The East Sumatra Highway, particularly the Pekanbaru–Simpang Lago section in Pelalawan Regency, is a strategic route that supports national economic growth and is part of the National Road network, which experiences congestion due to heavily loaded vehicles. As the need for road infrastructure intensifies, the government faces limitations in the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN). Therefore, alternative financing mechanisms such as State Sharia Securities (SBSN) and the Government and Business Entity Cooperation (PPP) scheme are required. This study aims to identify and assess the risks in the East Sumatra National Road Preservation PPP Project using a type-1 questionnaire-based descriptive analysis approach. The research respondents consist of representatives from the Party in Charge of the Cooperation Project (PJPK) and the Implementing Business Entity (BUP). The results indicate that PJPK faces 63 risks, with the main classifications including location, design, construction, operations, revenue, political, financial, force majeure, sponsorship, interface, asset ownership, and strategy. Meanwhile, BUP faces 60 risks under similar classifications, except that location risks fall solely under the responsibility of PJPK. These findings highlight the importance of proportional risk sharing according to the authority and responsibilities of each party. This research contributes to the development of risk mitigation strategies and supports decision-making for PPP-based infrastructure project financing. For future research, the use of the fuzzy logic method is recommended to reinforce risk weight allocation and to broaden the respondent base from both parties, thereby producing more representative results.

Abstract

The Surajaya Stadium Tribune foundation consists of 772 concrete piles divided into three zones with varying compression and tensile capacities, necessitating verification for safety and efficiency. This study evaluates the effectiveness of static versus dynamic testing methods for determining the tensile capacity of these piles. The analysis employs Driving Record, Pile Driving Analyzer (PDA), and CAPWAP methods, focusing on three evaluation approaches: Minimum Bearing Capacity Factor (FDDmin), Average Bearing Capacity Factor (FDDavg), and CAPWAP Friction Bearing Capacity. Results indicate that all methods yield a safety factor (SF) exceeding 2, confirming compliance with design criteria, with average SF of 2.73 (FDDmin), 3.02 (FDDavg), and 2.51 (CAPWAP). Additionally, substituting static tensile tests with modified dynamic tests can save up to 36 days and Rp 1,299,077,600 in costs. While dynamic methods offer efficiency, they may compromise data accuracy, highlighting the need for experienced vendors and calibrated equipment to enhance testing precision.
