Abstract

This phenomenon, which often occurs especially in teenagers, has become a social problem in society. Forms of behavior that are not in accordance with Islamic law among teenagers have become a habit, promiscuity varies from feeling attracted to the opposite sex, dating to touching each other's sensitive parts to having sexual intercourse. One thing that can influence behavior that is not in accordance with sharia is self-control, teenagers who have high self-control tend to have a sense of responsibility to look after themselves. The function of the pre-marital seminar activity for teenagers created by students of the KPM (Community Service Lecture) Islamic Family Law study program is in an effort to understand the self-context among teenagers regarding the intention of getting pregnant outside of marriage due to promiscuity for the Kalijati village community so it is hoped that this service program will be appropriate with society.

Abstract

This study discusses the existence of the Toba Muslim Minority in Balige City. Basically, the existence of society is one form of creating a set of components in an area. Similarly, every component of society will adjust to the surrounding environment. The potential for the formation of a typology of people in Balige City is grouped based on the religion adhered to. In general, the majority group is embraced by the Christian community while the minority group is embraced by the Muslim community. This research uses 2 theories reviewed from sociology and social philosophy. in the sociological review, this research is studied with Parsons' theory and its AGIL scheme, while in the review of social philosophy, this research uses Will Kymlicka's minority rights theory. This research uses qualitative methods with the type of field research (field research). Data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of this study is the existence of the Toba Muslim minority in Balige City into an interpretation of Islam in Batak Toba. The existence of Islam in Balige City can survive so far so that it has experienced developments such as the increasing number of worshippers. This will require improving the facilities of houses of worship for Muslims in worship. The government of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Balige City tried to overcome this by facilitating the establishment of mosques and arranging the certification of the status of the land to avoid land disputes. Similarly, the views of the majority community towards minority communities are still relatively good. However, there are still obstacles found in interacting such as there are still some minority communities who have not been able to socialize. So they hope that minorities can blend into the majority society with each other. The conclusion of the study is that Islam can maintain its existence and is well accepted in Balige City. However, limitations as a minority community does not close will cause its slowness in developing. Such as facilities for houses of worship that have not been fulfilled adequately and so on.

Abstract

This article examines the important role of environmental education in reducing environmental pollution by society. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of environmental education in changing the behavior of the Gamel Village community towards waste management and pollution. The methodology used was interviews with various members of the Gamel Village community to obtain their views on environmental outreach and education. Interview results show that frequent outreach about the negative impacts of waste and how to handle household waste is considered important by several respondents, although there are still many people who do not fully understand the negative impacts of waste and therefore still throw rubbish carelessly. One proposed approach is the use of organic materials to create more environmentally friendly waste. Several respondents noted that people who receive environmental education and information show higher levels of awareness about plastic pollution and tend to reduce their dependence on single-use plastics. Overall, this research shows that environmental education can increase pro-environmental awareness and behavior in the Gamel Village community. Intensive and continuous education, together with supportive regulations, can contribute significantly to reducing environmental pollution.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze public awareness of the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of the environment around Jalan Jenderal Sudirman which is one of the strategic and active areas of the city of Cirebon. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach which includes field observations, in-depth interviews with communities working or operating around Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, and documentation. Observations showed a lot of garbage on the side of the road, even though the trash can had been laid out. Meanwhile, from the results of interviews, it is known that most people are aware of the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of the environment, but there are still many who do not care and do not want to throw garbage in its place. Factors contributing to low public awareness include lack of education and socialization, lack of supervision and law enforcement, and low individual awareness and sense of responsibility. Some suggestions that can be given to increase public awareness include improving education and socialization, increasing supervision and enforcement of regulations, and developing programs that involve the community in maintaining environmental cleanliness.
