<![CDATA[The design of the Tanah Laut Regency Library and Archives Service building looks attractive in terms of its artistic and modern design. However, addressing interior design problems is still necessary because they cause inconvenience to visiting users. Therefore, it is necessary to view the interior design of the Tanah Laut Regency Library and Archives Service from the perceptions or responses of users. The type of research used is descriptive research with quantitative methods. The research population is 432 users. Determination of the sample in this study using the Slovin formula with an error rate of 10% obtained sample of 82 respondents. The study's results by distributing questionnaires showed that users' responses to interior design at the Tanah Laut District Library and Archives Service could be identified based on indicators of interior design elements. The user's response to spatial planning, color, and air circulation has an average score of 3.73, 3.97, and 3.44, which are in the agreed category. The user's response to lighting and spatial planning elements averaged 2.96, and 2.91 was in the quite agree category. Even though the overall average score of 3.49 is in the agreed category for lighting and spatial planning, it needs to be improved again because it is still in the entirely agreed category, which shows that there is still some inconvenience for users to be in the library.]]>

<![CDATA[The decline in reading culture in school students is an issue that comes to the fore today. The government and schools have made various efforts to develop a reading culture. Many roles should be involved so that the student is in an environment that always encourages him to read hard. Library managers are an essential part of having a role in fostering a culture of reading. This study aims to determine the role and constraints of library managers in motivating the reading interest of deaf students in the library of SLB-B Pangudi Luhur a Jakarta. This study aims to determine library managers' roles and constraints in motivating the reading interest of deaf students. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach and the case study method. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews and literature reviews. Using B. F. Skinner's Operant Conditioning Learning Theory, research shows that library managers play their role in motivating deaf students' reading interest through mandatory library programs. The activities carried out by library managers in the program include storytelling, using picture books, composing for students to imagine, and collaborating with teachers. Library managers carry out these activities to encourage deaf students to read, especially when there are obstacles in the process of absorbing their ear language and difficulties in generating emotions such as anxiety, fear, anger, depression, and low communication resulting in a lack of self-confidence. Obstacles experienced by library managers in motivating students include the lack of adequate human resources and the lack of availability of new books. The manager of the SLB-B Pangudi Luhur Jakarta Library applies the oral/aural verbal communication method in communicating to support and make it easier to motivate the reading interest of deaf students.]]>

<![CDATA[This study discusses the literacy activities of students at school, which aims to determine the literacy activities carried out and the library's role in increasing the literacy of SDI Al-Azhar 4 students. In addition, to find out the obstacles and solutions they face. The research method used for this study is a qualitative approach and this type of case study research. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observation, and literature review. The results of this study include 1). Although SDI Al-Azhar 4 has not implemented the School Literacy Movement (GLS) in the school curriculum, it has indirectly implemented GLS in their schools through reading activities in class, storytelling, book reviews, and library classes. 2) The library has a role as a facilitator in increasing the literacy of SDI Al-Azhar 4 students by facilitating reading materials, library class hours, and library activities. In addition, the library (librarian) also plays the role of educator in literacy activities through storytelling, watching films, and reading in classes organized by the library. 3). Obstacles libraries face in providing literacy activities, namely reading materials that are easily damaged because they are often read by students, which are then resolved with a solution given a budget for repairs and procurement of new books. Besides that, another obstacle faced is the Covid-19 pandemic which has changed the learning system by not being face-to-face. This problem is given a solution by carrying out literacy activities online.]]>

<![CDATA[Communication is the thing that can be separated from library activities. All library services rely on communication to interact with their users, especially reference services. Communication in reference services is personal, so the application of interpersonal communication skills must be owned by the reference librarian. Interpersonal communication is regulated and exemplified in Islam, with the Qur'an and Hadith. In the library environment, the principles of Islamic communication can certainly be applied by the librarian. This paper discusses applying Islamic communication principles to referral services at the Trade Training Center Library, Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia. The qualitative method with a case study approach is carried out in the research, where the data was collected by interviewing librarians and users in the library. This study shows that the librarian of the reference service to the users at the Library of the Trade Training Center of the Republic of Indonesia applies the principles of Islamic communication in interacting with users, which include: qaulan sadidan (speaking honestly), qaulan baligha (speaking clearly), qaulan ma'rufa (talking with wise), qaulan karma (speaking with noble words), qaulan layyina (speaking gently), and qaulan maysura (speaking politely). In addition, librarians are also able to uphold the principles of ukhuwah islamiyah (creating good relations with users), tabbayun (always cross-checking on developing information), and also fastabiqul khairat (inviting staff and users to compete for goodness).]]>

<![CDATA[Increasing the information needs of students can be used as material for evaluating innovations for libraries in increasing the availability of information and developing the literacy skills of Islamic boarding school students. Islamic boarding schools are a gathering place for students to gain knowledge and general knowledge and religion. The purpose of this study is to explain the innovation of the Library in improving the literacy of students and the obstacles faced in efforts to increase literacy. This research uses the qualitative descriptive method. The informant determination technique that has been used is purposive sampling, which is a technique for collecting research data based on certain considerations. The informants interviewed were 3 students of Pondok Pesantren Darunnajah who took advantage of the library facilities. The results showed that the library made several innovations in meeting the information needs of students. First, the Library provides OPAC as a means of retrieving the collection information provided. Second, develop digital collections as a source of learning. In addition, pesantren set a policy to ask students to provide new books that will be served in the library, as well as cooperate with other institutions through various information training to meet the information needs of students. In addition, there is a role for literacy ambassadors who bridge the gap between the information in the library and the students. The obstacles faced are the limitation of students in obtaining access to cyber information due to the existence of a pesantren culture that prohibits students from having communication media devices in the form of cellphones and laptops personally outside the Islamic boarding school. <![CDATA[Penyusutan arsip merupakan kegiatan pengendalian arsip yang efektif dalam pengelolaan arsip. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses penyusutan dan upaya yang dilakukan dalam mewujudkan efektivitas penyusutan arsip di Pusat Arsip I Kemendag RI. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses penyusutan terdiri pemusnahan arsip yang tidak bernilai dengan menggunakan jasa pihak ketiga dan penyerahan arsip yang memiliki nilai berkelanjutan ke Arsip Nasional Republik Indonesia (ANRI). Unit Kearsipan I telah berupaya untuk mencapai efektivitas penyusutan arsip melalui penetapan tujuan, integrasi, dan adaptasi. Penetapan tujuan dilakukan melalui penetapan jadwal penyusutan arsip; integrasi dilakukan dengan melaksanakan pembagian kerja untuk mendukung pelaksanaan penyusutan arsip yang maksimal, dan adaptasi dilakukan dengan menyesuaikan dengan perubahan terkait sarana dan prasarana. <![CDATA[This study examines the development and mapping of printed literatures on “Walisongo”. The study aims to reveal the strength of the collection concerning Walisongo among other collections in the UIN Walisongo library. The results showed that the query "Walisongo" illustrates that the collection of walisongo stored in the library is only 0.091 % of the total number of existing collections. The mapping based on the conspectus shows that 14 titles (48.28 %) of the collection above are at the comprehensive level; 6 titles (20.69%) are included in the research level category; 3 titles (10.34 %) are included in the instructional support level; 3 titles (10.34 %) are categorized as basic information level; 2 titles (6.90%) are at minimum level; and only 1 title (3.45%) is in the out of scope category. The mapping based on subject analysis shows that the books about Walisongo mostly study the da'wah of Walisongo, which shows 34.48%. The rest examines the subject of tarekat, the history of Islam in Indonesia, biographies of Islamic figures, Sufism, mythology, fiqh, sects, and Javanese history. Furthermore, mapping based on loan data from circulation services shows that all books about Walisongo have been borrowed by users.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelayanan perpustakaan dan bagaimana persepsi pemustaka mengenai citra profesi pustakawan di Perpustakaan Nasional RI, serta seberapa besar pengaruh pelayanan perpustakaan terhadap persepsi pemustaka mengenai citra profesi pustakawan. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksplanatif dan mengambil jumlah peserta responden sebanyak 99 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik insidental, yaitu pengambilan sampel secara kebetulan. Data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner disebarkan kepada pemustaka yang berkunjung langsung ke Pepustakaan Nasional RI. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelayanan di Perpustakaan Nasional RI masuk dalam kategori sangat baik dengan skor 3,67. Persepsi pemustaka mengenai citra profesi pustakawan di Perpustakaan Nasional RI juga dinilai sangat baik dengan skor 3,59. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, pelayanan perpustakaan memiliki pengaruh terhadap persepsi pemustaka mengenai citra profesi pustakawan, dengan nilai R Square sebesar 0,445 atau 44,5%, sedangkan 55,5% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian. Dengan demikian, hipotesis yang diterima adalah H1 = pelayanan perpustakaan berpengaruh terhadap persepsi pemustaka mengenai citra profesi pustakawan di Perpustakaan Nasional RI.]]>

<![CDATA[Libraries are valuable assets in the acquisition of knowledge, but often individuals, especially students, face "library anxiety", which creates feelings of tension, fear, and helplessness while in the library. This condition is common and can hinder academic performance. This study aims to determine the factors of Library Anxiety and library programs as an effort to overcome Library Anxiety at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Library Center Jakarta, using Constance Mellon's Library Anxiety Theory. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observation, documentation and literature review. The results showed that factors cause Library Anxiety at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Library Center Jakarta, including the size of the library building. These users need to learn where library services and facilities are, how to start activities in the library and what can be done there. To overcome this, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Library Center has several library programs, including Library orientation, information guidance, library program socialization, and information literacy workshops. This research contributes to library and information science by identifying the causes of Library Anxiety and analyzing the programs implemented to overcome this anxiety at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Library Center Jakarta. The results of this study can assist libraries and information managers in developing more effective strategies to support users and overcome the challenges of Library Anxiety.]]>

<![CDATA[The Instagram account @baznasindonesia is the main source for the public in finding information and references regarding activities related to zakat. The purpose of this study was to measure how well followers evaluate the quality of information on Instagram @baznasindonesia, to measure how much Zakat, Infak, Sedekah (ZIS) practices are practiced by followers on the Instagram @baznasindonesia account, and to measure how much influence the quality of information has on the practice of Zakat, Infak, Sedekah (ZIS) instagram followers @baznasindonesia. The research method in this study is quantitative with simple linear regression as the data analysis technique. The sample used was 100 respondents taken from followers of the @baznasindonesia Instagram account with a questionnaire. The results showed that the quality of information was considered very good with a total mean of 3.40 in the scale range of 3.25 – 4.00 (Very High) and the practice of Zakat, Infaq, Sedekah (ZIS) had a total mean of 2.93 in the scale range of 2. .50 – 3.24 (High). Furthermore, the quality of information has a fairly strong correlation with the practice of ZIS, which is equal to 0.483 which is in the range > 0.25 – 5 (quite strong), and the amount of influence given by the quality of information on the practice of Zakat, Infaq, Sedekah (ZIS) is 0.233 or 23 ,3 %. Based on the results of the study, instagram @baznasindonesia managers from BAZNAS RI need to add more comprehensive information, such as integrating information owned by BAZNAS RI on Instagram @baznasindonesia . ]]>
