<![CDATA[A librarian teacher is a school teacher who has received education or training in the field of libraries for a minimum number of hours who is also assigned to the relevant school library. The position of a librarian teacher in a school library is something that cannot be avoided in the face of limited librarian staff, but it is also not a right that is taken seriously. This study aims to provide a deeper understanding of the strategy for developing school libraries managed by librarian teachers from the initial conditions that are not optimal to reaching a more efficient and effective level at the Library of SMA Negeri 5 Bagan Sinembah. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques used in this study are interviews, observations and documentation. In the study, the strategy used by librarian teachers to improve the quality of school library development involves two main aspects: student involvement and collaboration of teaching staff, especially art and culture teachers who play a complementary role in making library facilities and infrastructure. With obstacles including limitations in library supervision due to dual responsibilities, its administration system which is still manual, and limited knowledge about digital-based library management.]]>

<![CDATA[Pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dalam bidang pendidikan memudahkan mahasiswa dalam penyelesaian tugas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa jurusan ilmu perpustakaan UIN Sumatera Utara terhadap penggunaan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dalam membantu penulisan karya ilmiah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive dan snowball. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan software NVivo dan dilakukan triangulasi untuk memastikan validitas dan kredibilitas temuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki persepsi positif terhadap penggunaan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dalam komunikasi ilmiah. Artificial Intelligence (AI) dianggap cukup relevan untuk dijadikan acuan dalam mencari referensi pada penulisan karya ilmiah. Namun, tidak sedikit dari mahasiswa yang kurang ahli dalam menganalisis platform kecerdasan buatan yang relevan dan lebih valid dalam memberikan informasi. The utilisation of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of education facilitates the completion of tasks by students. This study aims to ascertain the perception of students of the science major at the UIN Library of North Sumatra regarding the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in assisting with the composition of scientific papers. This research employs qualitative methods, utilising purposive and snowball sampling techniques. Data is gathered through observations, interviews and document analysis. The data analysis was conducted using NVivo software, and triangulation was employed to ensure the validity and credibility of the research findings. The results indicated that students held a positive perception of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in scientific communication. Artificial Intelligence (AI) was perceived as a valuable reference tool for locating scientific literature. However, a significant proportion of students demonstrated limited proficiency in analysing AI platforms that could provide more reliable and valid information.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to provide a detailed explanation of the stunting literacy approach implemented by the Labuhanbatu Utara Regency Library and Archives Office to increase public awareness and understanding of stunting. This research uses qualitative analysis using the Miles and Huberman paradigm to gain insight into the librarian's point of view. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The Library and Archives Office of Labuhanbatu Utara Regency implemented various initiatives aimed at increasing public understanding and awareness of stunting. These activities include improving literacy collection development by offering a variety of library materials, fostering partnerships with related organizations, and providing access to Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) services. Working with BKKBN, the Health Office, academics and health workers. Social promotion and campaign: Involves disseminating information through several media channels and organizing social campaigns. Devotion of local government Collaboration between various agencies Compilation of extensive literacy resources to address stunting. To achieve success, it is crucial to have active involvement and support from community members and leaders. Barriers Limited resources Limited availability of information Lack of collaboration among government organizations Recommendations Increase collaboration and synchronization among agencies Increase availability of information Improve librarian skills Conduct program monitoring and evaluation Conclusion Labura district has made great strides in improving understanding of stunting. These efforts deserve recognition and are expected to be continuously improved to achieve the goal of reducing stunting rates in Labuhanbatu Utara Regency.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tradisi jamu laut masyarakat melayu pesisir di Desa Jaring Halus, Kecamatan Secanggang, Kabupaten Langkat" yang terfokus pada sejarah terjadinya tradisi jamu laut yang ada di Desa Jaring Halus. Tujuan dari penelitian ini bahwa tradisi Jamu Laut ini sangat berarti bagi masyarakat Desa Jaring Halus. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan penelitan sejarah. Model yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan yang disarankan oleh Garraghan dengan langkah-langkah yaitu, Heuristik, Kritik Sumber, Interpretasi dan Historiografi. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan dilakukannya 3 tahap yaitu, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat ditemukan dalam beberapa hal mengenai Tradisi Jamu Laut di Desa Jaring Halus, bahwa tradisi jamu laut pada Desa Jaring Halus merupakan tradisi yang sangat melekat pada jiwa masyarakat Desa Jaring Halus. Implikasi dari penelitian ini ialah dapat melihat kembali warisan budaya, mendapatkan nilai-nilai moral yang terkandung didalam tradisi ini.]]>

<![CDATA[Information literacy is a set of skills that everyone needs in finding information. The existence of information literacy encourages a person to be able to think more critically and be able to add new knowledge related to new concepts in the world of education. Information literacy skills are needed in today's digital era. The goal is to be able to filter all information received in order to avoid false information. Therefore this study aims to find out how the development of research regarding the role of libraries in increasing information literacy indexed by Sinta in the last 5 years, answer research questions that have been compiled and provide recommendations for further research. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method and uses the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting items for Systematic Review and Meta-analysis) protocol in the research phase. The literature search uses the publish or perish tool on the crossreff and google scholar databases in the 2018-2022 period. Thus, 13 journal articles were obtained that had passed the screening stage and had been assessed for quality using the CRAAP test (Currency, Reverence, Authority, Accuracy, and Purpose). The results of the study found that all articles were of good quality and each article had a different research design, program, program success indicators and research context. However, the results of the study also show that there is the same research objective in each literature, namely increasing the literacy movement in the community.]]>

<![CDATA[This research discusses the utilization of nationally accredited journals in writing final assignments by UIN North Sumatera students. The objectives to be achieved from this research are to find out the utilization of nationally accredited journals in writing final assignments by UIN North Sumatra students and the obstacles faced by students in utilizing nationally accredited journals. The research conducted by researchers used descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data collection methods used are observation, interview and documentation. In this study, the informants were FIS students class of 2019. The results of this study indicate that most students do not use accredited journals because of the lack of promotion by the library so that information is not evenly distributed throughout the academic community. The obstacles that prevent students from using nationally accredited journals are language, promotion and lack of student awareness. The implication of this research is that it is necessary to conduct user education by emphasizing the introduction of nationally accredited journals and how to access them.]]>

<![CDATA[The importance of library digitization in the context of the times is not only related to the provision of satisfactory services, library digitization is a response to technological developments, but also an effort in achieving SDGs. This research aims to analyze the role played by Quality University Library in facilitating access to information. The System Usability Scale (SUS) method was adopted for this research. Data collection was done through the Google Forms platform by conducting a survey. The results of the SUS calculation show that the average value of the usability of the Quality University library application is 63, which is in the sufficient category. Further analysis shows that there are still aspects that need to be improved, namely promotion. The conclusion of this study is that the library application still needs to increase its promotion to students so that not only final semester students are actively using the application.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi keterpakaian koleksi di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Daerah Kota Tebing Tinggi. Evaluasi keterpakaian koleksi penting untuk dilakukan karena dapat digunakan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan koleksi di perpustakaan, kegiatan evaluasi terhadap bahan pustaka perlu dilakukan agar dapat mencapai tujuan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif yang berupaya memberikan deskripsi tentang keterpakaian koleksi pustaka di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Daerah Kota Tebing Tinggi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode evaluasi koleksi berdasarkan penggunaan (use-centered). Untuk memperoleh data peniliti menggunakan metode dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa keterpakaian koleksi di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Daerah Kota Tebing Tinggi masih rendah, dengan rata-rata peminjaman bulanan yang tidak sebanding dengan jumlah koleksi yang ada. Penyebab utama rendahnya keterpakaian koleksi adalah kurangnya koleksi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan informasi pengguna dan promosi pelayanan perpustakaan yang belum optimal.Kata kunci: Evaluasi Koleksi, Keterpakaian, Analisis Koleksi, Perpustakaan Daerah, Tebing Tinggi]]>

<![CDATA[Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengetahuan, kemampuan, faktor yang mempengaruhi serta hambatan yang dihadapi mahasiswa IAIN Padangsidimpuan dalam memanfaatkan Institutional Repository (IR). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa IAIN Padangsidimpuan lebih banyak mengetahui Institutional Repository (IR) dari Word of Mouth Communication daripada melalui kegiatan User education, ini berarti melalui Word of Mouth Communication ini efektif dalam menyampaikan informasi.Kemampuan mahasiswa IAIN Padangsidimpuan dalam memanfaatkan Institutional Repository (IR) adalah mampu dilihat dari pencarian informasi menggunakan pencarian spesifik lebih dominan menggunakan pencarian berdasarkan subyek dan divisi. Faktor yang mendorong mahasiswa IAIN Padangsidimpuan memanfaatkan Institutional Repository (IR) kemudahan dalam akses, efisien waktu, fitur-fitur yang mudah dipahami, memenuhi tugas kuliah, pandemi Covid-19 dan open access. Hambatan yang dihadapi mahasiswa IAIN Padangsidimpuan dalam memanfaatkan Institutional Repository (IR) yaitu repository yang tiba-tiba error, kuota/jaringan mahasiswa IAIN Padangsidimpuan. Dari temuan ini dapat diketahui bahwa perpustakaan terkhususnya perpustakaan perguruan tinggi harus lebih meningkatkan pelatihan, workshop yang kreatif dan inovasi tentang Institutional Repository.]]>

<![CDATA[This thesis discusses the utilization of reservoir collection services at the Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan State Islamic University Library. The aim to be achieved from this research is to find out how the reservoir collection service is utilized in the library of the Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan State Islamic University. This research uses descriptive methods with a qualitative approach. By using data collection techniques, namely through observation, interviews and documentation. The informants in this research were librarians at the Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan State Islamic University library. The results of this research show that the use of reserve collections (tandon) in the library of the Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan State Islamic University. Reserve collection is a service for the use of textbooks which can be used as a reserve if the collection of textbooks provided in the circulation room has been borrowed by users. Reserve collections can only be photocopied. Its use cannot be loaned, it can only be read on the spot.]]>
