Abstract

Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) has become a significant psychosocial phenomenon in the virtual running community in the post-pandemic era. This qualitative phenomenological study aims to explore the role of FOMO as a motivator for participation in virtual running events and its impact on runners’ subjective experiences. Through in-depth interviews with 19 active virtual runners and thematic analysis, the study revealed that FOMO operates through an iterative cycle: exposure to running content on social media, social anxiety, event registration, result sharing, and social validation. The findings showed that 73% of participants were initially motivated by FOMO, with manifestations such as indirect competition on digital platforms (Strava, Garmin Connect) and collection of virtual medals as a status symbol. However, the study also identified ambivalent impacts - on the one hand, increasing sport engagement, on the other hand, potentially causing emotional exhaustion when participation is driven by social pressure rather than intrinsic motivation. This study makes an important contribution to understanding the psychological dynamics of virtual sport and recommends a more balanced approach in designing virtual running events, taking into account the mental health aspects of participants.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of sustainability principles into the virtual onboarding process through a qualitative narrative study approach. Analysis of five multinational companies and interviews with 15-20 stakeholders revealed that while 78% of companies have adopted digital practices such as e-documents and virtual training, only 20% explicitly measure their environmental impact. The findings suggest three main benefits: (1) a 63% reduction in paper use and 45% in carbon emissions, (2) an increase in employer branding of up to 30% for consistent companies, and (3) the formation of environmental awareness in new employees. However, challenges such as resistance to change, infrastructure limitations, and lack of measurement standards hinder optimal implementation. This study contributes a new conceptual model that links operational, social, and environmental dimensions, while recommending the development of standard metrics, cross-generational training, and stronger integration with sustainability reporting. The study results enrich the Sustainable HRM literature by offering a framework for implementing virtual onboarding that is aligned with the SDGs, especially in the context of digital transformation in the post-pandemic era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of physical, social and psychological factors on employee job satisfaction at PT. Ade Pas Palembang. The population in this study was 136 permanent employees and the sample taken was 102 employees. Sampling used the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling Technique. The type of research used is associative research. The data required in this study are primary data and secondary data. The data collection method used is a questionnaire. Data analysis uses quantitative qualitative data analysis. The analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the hypothesis test show that simultaneously/together Physical, Social and Psychological Factors have a positive effect on Employee Job Satisfaction. While partially Physical, Social and Psychological Factors have a positive effect on Employee Job Satisfaction. Social Factors have a positive effect on Employee Job Satisfaction. Psychological Factors have a positive effect on Employee Job Satisfaction. The results of the determination coefficient show that the contribution of physical, social and psychological factors to employee job satisfaction at PT. Ade Pas Palembang is 58.7%

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence consumer purchasing decisions on micro-business products using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) approach. The background of this study is based on the importance of understanding consumer behavior in the context of micro-businesses that play a significant role in the national economy, but still face challenges in identifying determinants of purchasing decisions scientifically. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey technique by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents who are consumers of micro-business products in Makassar City. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression methods with the help of the SPSS version 29 program. The results showed that two of the three main TPB variables, namely attitudes and subjective norms, had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, while perceived behavioral control did not have a significant effect. This finding supports Ajzen's theory (1991) and strengthens previous findings, especially that positive consumer attitudes and social support from the surrounding environment are the main determining factors in purchasing decisions. On the other hand, the insignificance of perceived behavioral control indicates that the aspect of ease or ability to buy is not always the main consideration, especially when the product is easily accessible. The conclusion of this study is that TPB is relevant to understand consumer behavior in the context of micro-enterprises, and can be a strategic basis for designing a marketing approach that is oriented towards consumer attitudes and social norms.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Influence of Leadership and Work Environment on Employee Performance at PT. Hindoli Estate Pulai Berayun. This type of research is associative. The population in this study was 87 employees, with a sample of 47 employees. The data used in this study were primary and secondary data. The data collection method used a questionnaire. The analysis technique used was Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini berjuang untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Kepuasan kerja, dan Lingkungan Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan PT. Vinayaka Abadi Palembang secara simultan dan parsial. Jenis penelitian menggunakan jenis penelitian asosiatif, populasi berjumlah 168 karyawan dan sampel 118 Karyawan yang diambil dengan metode Cluster Sampling. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan sekunder. Teknik analisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda, Uji Hipotesis F dan t serta koefisisen determinasi. Hasil penelitian dari analisis regresi linier berganda bahwa Kepuasan Kerja dan Lingkungan Kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap Kinerja Karyawan PT. Vinayaka Abadi Palembang, Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan Kepuasn Kerja dan Lingkungan Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan PT. Vinayaka Abadi Palembang, secara parsial ada pengaruh signifikan Kepuasan Kerja terhadap Kinerja Karyawan dan ada pengaruh signifikan Lingkungan Kerja terhadap Kinerja Karyawan. Hasil koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa variabel Kepuasan Kerja, dan Lingkungan Kerja mampu menjelaskan terhadap naik turunya karyawan sebesar 75,9% sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain diluar penelitian. Kata Kunci : Kepuasan Kerja, Lingkungan Kerja, dan Kinerja Karyawan.

This study is to determine consumer satisfaction and convenience towards Maxim customer loyalty in Palembang City. This type of research uses associative. The research location was conducted in Palembang City with 100 samples. The data used is Primary Data. The data collection method used in this study is Multiple Linear Regression, F Test, t Test and coefficient of determination. The results of the study indicate that consumer satisfaction and convenience have a positive and significant influence on Maxim customer loyalty in Palembang City.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Influence of Service Quality and Patient Satisfaction on Outpatient Loyalty at Muhammadiyah Hospital Palembang. This study used 100 samples, the sampling technique used incidental sampling technique (Accidental Sampling). The type of research used is associative, the data used are primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. The analysis technique used is Multiple Linear Regression analysis, F Test, t Test and Determination Coefficient with a significance level of 10%. The results of the Multiple Linear Regression analysis of the variables of Service Quality and Patient Satisfaction have a positive influence on Patient Loyalty. The results of the study indicate that there is an influence of Service Quality and Patient Satisfaction together on Patient Loyalty at Muhammadiyah Hospital Palembang.

Abstract

This research aims to explore employees' financial needs for a crypto-based payroll system through a phenomenological approach. Using qualitative methods, the research involved in-depth interviews with 15 employees from various industry sectors who received salaries in crypto or tokens for at least six months. The research findings revealed three main themes: (1) the dichotomy between the flexibility of cross-border transactions and the uncertainty of crypto-value volatility, (2) the crucial role of financial literacy in determining employees' level of adaptation, and (3) the importance of company support and clear regulations. The results showed that while 73% of participants appreciated the system's efficiency, 85% were concerned about the instability of asset values impacting their financial planning. This study reinforces previous findings (Zhang et al., 2022; Lee & Wang, 2021) on the complexity of innovative financial technology adoption at the individual level. The implications of the study emphasize the need for hybrid (crypto-fiat) policies, specialized financial education programs, and a regulatory framework that protects workers' rights without stifling innovation. The findings significantly contribute to the development of sustainable payroll systems in the digital economy.

Abstract

The The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of products and promotions on decisions to purchase club brand drinking water in the community of Subdistrict 3-4 Ulu Palembang simultaneously and partially. This research includes associative research. The research population is infinite, with a sample size of 100 respondents. The data used is primary data. The sampling technique is Probability Sampling using the Purposive Sampling method. The data collection technique in research is by questionnaire. The data analysis used in this research is Multiple Linear Regression analysis. The results of Multiple Linear Regression show that there is a positive influence of Product and Promotion variables on the Decision to Purchase Club Brand Drinking Water in Subdistrict 3-4 Ulu Palembang. The results of the F hypothesis test show 1) There is a significant influence of Product and Promotion variables on the Decision to Purchase Club Brand Drinking Water in Subdistrict 3-4 Ulu Palembang.
