Magneton: Jurnal Inovasi Pembelajaran Fisika UNWIRA merupakan terbitan berkala ilmiah yang dikelolah oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP) Universitas Katolik Widya Mandira (UNWIRA) yang terbit 2 kali dalam setahun atau tiap 6 bulan yaitu bulan Januari dan Juli. Magneton memiliki nomor ISSN (online) 2985-5764 berdasarkan SK ISSN 29855764/II.7.4/SK.ISSN/02/2023. Magneton memuat artikel-artikel hasil penelitian pada bidang pendidikan fisika, pengembangan teori dan hasil pemikiran para praktisi yang bergerak di bidang pendidikan fisika dengan scope: Inovasi pembelajaran fisika; Metode, model, dan pendekatan pembelajaran fisika; Media pembelajaran fisika; TIK dalam pembelajaran Fisika; Evaluasi dan asesmen pembelajaran fisika; Etnofisika. Hasil Penelitian, pengembangan teori dan hasil pemikiran para praktisi yang dimuat pada jurnal ini berasal dari dosen-dosen yang berlatar belakang IPA Khususnya Pendidikan Fisika, Guru-guru IPA dan Fisika, Mahasiswa dan Alumni pada Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika FKIP Universitas Katolik Widya Mandira serta hasil penelitian dari guru-guru maupun dari peneliti-peneliti lainnya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of learning outcomes and science literacy skills of students by neutralizing animated video media on the subject matter of global warming by conducting experimental research with a pre-experimental design approach. Research with a pre-experimental design approach chosen is one group or one class pretest-posttest (One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design). The sample in this study were X1 Science class students of SMA Negeri Binino, totaling 17 people. The tools used in this study were in the form of lesson plans, animated video media, grids of learning outcomes test questions and students' science literacy skills. The results of this study indicate that the application of animated video media can improve learning outcomes and science literacy skills of students on global warming material. This is seen from the results of the posttest which has increased and the results of the N-Gain Score test calculation on learning outcomes with an average value of 0.42 in the moderate category and the results of the N-Gain Score test on students' science literacy skills with an average value of 0.43 in the moderate category. Based on the research that has been conducted at SMAN Binino and the results obtained, the researcher would like to suggest that in a learning process the use of learning media is very helpful for teachers in conveying learning objectives or material because learning will be more meaningful.

Abstract

This study aims to produce whiteboard animation video-based student teaching materials on optical equipment material motivated by students who tend to be lazy to read printed books. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity and response of students to whiteboard animation video-based teaching materials on optical devices. The method in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data collection instruments used teaching material validation sheets to determine the feasibility of teaching materials and student response sheets to find out students' responses to whiteboard animation video-based teaching materials on optical devices. Based on the results of data analysis by expert validation, the average result of all aspects of the assessment is 0.864 with a very feasible category. The results of implementation on students by giving a response of 93% with a very good category.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) determine the feasibility of physics teaching materials based in the whiteboard animation video that was developed, 2) find out the reponses of teacher and students based on the developed whiteboard animation video, 3) find out the learning outcomes of students on whiteboard animation videos in moving waves and stasionary waves class XI SMA developed. The type of research used in Research and Development using the ADDIE development stage (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data collection techniques use tests and questionnaires to obtain the feasibility of teaching materials media and studen learning outcomes in the test stage field trial. The results showed 1) the validation assessment of the material expert was 75,7% in the very good category and was in the average score of 3,035 in the very good category, 2) the validity assessment from media experts was 75% in the good and mean score 3 in the very good category, 3) the teacher’s response is 83,3% in the very good category and having an average score of 3,33 in the very good category,4) the learning outcomes obtained by students are on average 82 meeting the KKM.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the level of understanding of physics concepts on pressure material in class VIII C SMPN 3 Kupang students and determine the percentage of understanding of the concept of each indicator. The research data was obtained by giving tests in the form of essays totaling 15 numbers. The data were statistically analyzed, obtained the percentage of understanding of the concept of each indicator in order are interpret 81%, exemplify 66%, classify 72%, conclude 48%, summarize 50% and explain 61%. The results of this study indicate that the most dominant understanding of physics concepts is the indicator of interpreting and is in a very high category, while the least dominant indicator is the indicator of inferring and is in the sufficient category. The order of mastery based on indicators starting from the largest is the indicator of interpreting, classifying, exemplifying, explaining, summarizing, and concluding.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of cognitive knowledge based on the dimensions of knowledge of students on substance pressure material in class VIII of Mater Inviolata Catholic High School. The sampling used is Random Sampling. The sample in this study were VIII grade students of Mater Inviolata Catholic High School totaling 30 people. The data collection instrument used in this study was a cognitive knowledge test question. The results of data analysis can be concluded that the level of cognitive knowledge of students on factual knowledge is categorized as good with an average score of 84. The level of cognitive knowledge of students on conceptual knowledge is categorized as less good with an average score of 69. While the level of cognitive knowledge on procedural knowledge is categorized as less good with an average score of 74, the level of cognitive knowledge of students on metacognitive knowledge is categorized as less good with an average score of 67 and the overall level of cognitive knowledge of students based on the dimensions of knowledge is categorized as less good with an average score of 73.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) find out how to improve students' concept understanding after using PhET simulation as a virtual practicum on vibration, wave and sound material in class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kupang, 2) find out how students' learning activities after using PhET simulation as a virtual practicum on vibration, wave and sound material in class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kupang. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Kupang. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with One-Group Pretest-postest Design method. The research sample was students of class VIII C which amounted to 27 students. Data collection techniques using tests totaling 5 items and observation techniques. The results showed that students' concept understanding increased with a Gain score of 0.54 on sufficient criteria and students' learning activities obtained a percentage of 73% with high criteria.

Abstract

The difficulty of learning outcomes in the cognitive domain is a person's inability to remember, understand, apply, analyze, create and evaluate the material that has been explained. The dimensions of knowledge referred to here are factual, conceptual, procedural, and metacognitive knowledge. This study aims to determine student difficulties in working on questions: factual, conceptual, procedural, and metacognitive. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 20 Kupang. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The sample in the study was class VIII E students totaling 30 students. The data collection technique was carried out with a test technique in the form of essay questions totaling 10 items. The results showed that in factual knowledge, students had an average score of 66 with a moderate category of difficulty, conceptual knowledge had an average score of 81 with a category of no difficulty, procedural knowledge had an average score of 26 with a category of great difficulty, and metacognitive knowledge had an average score of 47 with a category of much difficulty.

Abstract

This research aims to 1) Knowing the guided inquiry learning model based on PhET simulation affects learning interest 2) Knowing the guided inquiry learning model based on PhET simulation affects students' concept understanding. The research design used is One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sampling used is saturated sampling. The sample in this study were students of class X IPA SMA Swasta Santa Familia Sikumana which amounted to 24 people. The instruments used in the study were lesson plans, student worksheets, student teaching materials, learning interest questionnaires and concept understanding test questions. The results of the study concluded that there was an effect of guided inquiry learning model based on PhET simulation on students' interest in learning with a significant value of 0.014 smaller than 0.05 (0.014 <0.05). And there is an effect of guided inquiry learning model based on PhET simulation on students' concept understanding with a significant value of 0.000 smaller than 0.05 (0.000<0.05).

Abstract

This study analyzes the use of google classroom as a learning medium during the covid-19 pandemic on learning motivation. Research objectives to find out the use af google classroom as a learning medium during covid-19 and student learning motivation after using google classroom as a learning medium during covid-19. This research includes qualitative descriptive research. The research subjects were 1 physics teacher and 5 students of SMA Negeri 5 kupang. Data collection methods include observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study concluded that the use of google classroom as a learning medium during the covid-19 pandemic on student learning motivation has gone well. Tis can be proven that the use of google classroom can increase the desire, attraction, motivation, and also arouse students desire to learn. Improving the quality of learning can be seen through increasing teaching and learning activities and improving the final of results of student acquisition.

Abstract

This study aims to produce electronic worksheets that are: (1) feasible to use to improve science process skills and digital literacy in high school students; (2) practical to use to improve science process skills and digital literacy in high school students; and (3) assess the level of effectiveness in improving science process skills and digital literacy of high school students. This type of research is Research and Development using the ADDIE model, namely Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluation. The field trial subjects consisted of 90 students of class X SMAN 2 Bangutapan which were divided into one experimental class and two comparison classes, the sample selection using a simple random sampling technique. The experimental class implemented electronic worksheets guided inquiry model and two comparison classes using conventional and contextual learning. The data collection instruments used were observation sheets, questionnaire sheets, and test questions. Data analysis techniques used feasibility analysis techniques based on the Aiken V value coefficient, practicality analysis based on the results of teacher and student response questionnaires, and effectiveness analysis based on observations of learning implementation and effect size. The results of the study stated that: (a) The website-based guided inquiry model electronic worksheet is declared feasible based on the results of the analysis of the validity of media feasibility and test questions; (b) The website-based guided inquiry model electronic worksheet is practical to use based on the results of the analysis of teacher and student responses; and (c) The website-based guided inquiry model electronic worksheet used in the learning process in improving students' science process skills and digital literacy with the results of the analysis based on the effect size measurement of the difference in the average scores of the three classes and the results of the analysis based on the effect size measurement in the medium category with effective criteria.
