Abstract

 This paper discusses the harmonious dialectics process between Hindus and Muslims through ‘urf or localwisdom which is believed to have philosophical, sociological, and psychological values with pluralmulticultural nuances for the community of Jembrana, Province of Bali. This paper focuses on searching theeffectiveness of some ‘urf or local wisdom that functioning as a means of interacting between two religiouscommunities leading to peaceful practices on Hindu-Muslim communities in Jembrana-Bali. The datasources are field observations and unstructured interviews from March-July 2019. This study is a fieldresearch using a case study method. The results show that the dialectics process with a multicultural nuancebetween Hindus and Muslims in Jembrana is through the ‘urf or local wisdom, namely male, ngejot,rebana, and mekepung traditions. Furthermore, from these four traditions, there is a process of activeinvolvement, constructive understanding, and efforts to find joint commitments from various commitments sothat a sense of brotherhood and understanding of the diversity between the two religious communities becomesextremely close. This dialectic can also shape the character of Hindu and Muslim communities in Jembranato be humanist, tolerant, and inclusive, this phenomenon then leads to the process of association, integration,complementation, and sublimation. This research contributes to the field of religious and cultural studies bydemonstrating how ‘urf traditions serve as mechanisms for fostering tolerance, humanism, and inclusivity ina pluralistic society. It confirms the theory that Islamization in the region is not a confrontational processbut rather an adaptive and integrative one. Methodologically, this study highlights the significance ofqualitative case studies in exploring interfaith relations through localized traditions.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the progressive meaning of jihad not only as religious discourses but also teachingpracticed by Indonesian Muslim from a long time ago until the reformed era. In this political transition todemocracy, Indonesian government has encountered many ideologies including transnational Islamicmovements promoting biased idea of jihad containing a lot of tension, hatred, and violence such as war,exclusive, intolerance, monolithic point of view, and single truth claim. These ideas have been extremelydifferent from Indonesian Muslim scholars and cleric thought that have interpreted jihad locally and hasbeen practiced harmoniously for a long time. Therefore identifying the concept of jihad in democratic era willbe a solution of contemporary development of Indonesian Islam and promote harmonious coexistence.Method used in this research is narrative analysis, written and spoken texts are categorized as data. Thedata focuses on the concept of jihad classified into moderate jihad and immoderate jihad as constructed byIndonesian Muslim scholars especially those affiliated with Muhammadiyah and Nahdltul Ulama (NU).This research found that jihad for Indonesian Muslim perspectives (both Muhammadiyah and NahdlatulUlama) in the post-reform era of Indonesian polity is defined as any struggle or effort made with right faithand right intention in order to strengthen the word of truth, to bring about peace, to help humanity withoutthe involvement or greed of personal gain, fame, and other fortunes continuing until the end of the day. Thisresearch contributes to the field of Islamic studies and political sociology by offering a localized perspective onjihad, distinct from Middle Eastern interpretations. It reinforces the idea that Islamization in Indonesia hashistorically been peaceful and adaptive, shaped by the nation’s socio-political context. Methodologically, thisstudy advances narrative analysis as an effective tool for examining the evolution of religious concepts andtheir implications to contemporary society.

Abstract

Philanthropic hadiths are very interesting for contextual understanding in order to respond to social problems that occur in the community such as poverty and health problems which unwittingly increase day to day. This paper aimed to present philanthropic traditions about PKU Muhammadiyah hospital. The method used by researcher was analytical descriptive by using the method of socio-historical approach and Max Weber's social theory framework. The findings in this study were: First, philanthropic traditions of the hospital was delivered by the Prophet from the Companions of the Prophet around one hadith assisted by other hadiths. Second, contextualization of hadith understanding resulted in the formulation of its name; previously named Polyclinic. Muhammad Sudja considered that Muhammadiyah has not had a hospital which handled needy people. Third, the roles of the PKU Muhammadiyah hospital are very large in the terms of public health services such as medical treatment, social services and in handling disasters. Fourth, the philanthropic movement conducted by the hospital are based on religious doctrines originating from Quran and al-Sunnah al-Maqbūlah so that it can realize the noble ideals of the Indonesians, namely the true Islamic community; the main, justice, safe and prosperous society, and hence blessed by Allah SWT.

Abstract

هذه الورقة تتمحور في التحليل النقدي لمنهج الشيخ محمد محفوظ الترمسي في شرح الأحاديث النبوية بالتركيز على كتابه "الخلعة الفكرية بشرح المنحة الخيرية في أربعين حديثا من أحاديث خير البرية". هذا الكتاب ذاته دليل فعال على وعي مؤلفه واهتمامه بنصوص الأحاديث المحمدية الثابتة التي تتطلب فهما وشرحا بشكل مستمر إضافة إلى أن لمؤلفه مكانة مرتفعة من بين العلماء سواء في العالم العربي عامة أم في جنوب شرق آسيا خاصةً أم في الأرخبيل (إندونيسيا) على وجه الأخص. ويتجلى أن الترمسي يوضح سند الحديث ببيان تاريخ رجاله مع قلة الوقوع في جرحهم وتعديلهم فضلا عن أنه يسير في شرح المتن على المنهج الإجمالي مع غلبة اللون اللغوي والفقهي. وذلك عن طريق إظهار المعاني اللغوية لألفاظ المتن المؤيدة بالآيات القرآنية والأحاديث الأخرى النبوية وبأقوال العلماء مع إظهار الأحكام والحكم واللطائف المستنبطة من المتن. ومع ذلك فإن للترمسي بعض القصور منها عدم اتساقية منهجه وعدم تقديمه تقييما لنوعية الأحاديث رغم صحتها ومجرد اقتباسه من آراء السابقين وعدم وعيه بالجانب التاريخي لورود الحديث

Abstract

In the state of nationalism is the spirit for every citizen. The attitudes of loving the motherland, defending the country and unity are inseparable in order to strengthen the resilience of the nation. Shaykh Abdul Latief Syakur as a local figure who lived during the colonial era, wanted to free the influence of community submission to the invaders through his interpretive work, namely Tafsīr Yā Ayyuha Al-Lażīna Āmanū. This study uses a textual and contextual approach. The nationalism spirits that emerged from this study were first the values of the struggle and progress of the nation and homeland, secondly, the principle of national defense, thirdly promoting the values of unity, and fourthly the ethical values. These four spirits are still very relevant today amid the waning efforts of the struggle and progress of the nation and the motherland, the principles of the defense of the State, the values of unity, and ethical principles in social life. The substantive values of Shaykh Abdul Latief Syakur's nationalism in his interpretation are the distinguishing values of his era's paza which can be applied to the present context

Abstract

This article departs from the reality of the presence of an audiovisual interpretation, "Lebah menurut al- Qur‟an dan Sains" by the Lembaga Pentashihan Mushaf al-Qur‟an (Pentashihan Mushaf al-Qur'an Institute) of the Ministry of Religion in Indonesia have never been reviewed. In fact, with this interpretation, Pentashihan Mushaf al-Qur'an Institute has produced and translated scientific interpretations of waf which are actually still polemic in the midst of observers of the study of the Quran. So, the question to be answered in this study is: "What is the social dimension in the audiovisual interpretation “Lebah menurut al-Qur‟an dan Sains?" This article is qualitative study with a type of literature study; a complete video containing documentation with primary material "Lebah menurut al-Qur‟an dan Sains” and supported with other written materials. This article shows two main things about the scientific interpretation of the discourse through video 'Lebah menurut al-Qur‟an dan Sains, "by Pentashihan Mushaf al-Qur'an Institute so that it was not immediately accepted, firstly, by its role as an institution that has relations and the legitimacy of forces under the protection of state institutions. Second, the position held by Pentashihan Mushaf al-Qur'an Institute is strengthened with the reality others they have asked for more to facilitate discourse for audiences; access with the support of important figures in and fully supported by access to support the sophistication of technology and information.

Abstract

The problems discussed in this research are how the existence and function of mosque in supporting da‟wah activities in Industrial Revolution 4.0 are. This research is a library study focusing on discussion about mosque as an Islamic da‟wah institution in supporting da‟wah activities in Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. The primary data covers scientific works about mosque as a da‟wah institution, while the secondary data covers various works about mosque, da‟wah, and Industrial Revolution. Qualitative approach is used in this study. The collected data is analyzed using content analysis method by reducing, displaying, and verifying the data. The result of this study finds that the existence and function of mosque is increasingly needed by Muslims community in Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. Mosque for Muslims is likened as water for fish. Muslims cannot “live” without “existence” of mosque. However, mosque is now like poisoned water, which led to da‟wah crisis befalling Muslims community these days. Muslims community is responsible to elevate mosque to the higher position since the challenge of this era is extremely heavy. One of the ways is utilizing the technology, especially information technology. It can be implemented by giving training activities, such as computer, internet, or other social media training, for mosque caretaker for the sake of the mosque and da‟wah activities.

Abstract

This article discusses the grave pilgrimage, visits someone's grave with the intention of praying for it and takes lessons from death called the pilgrimage of the grave. The problem in this paper is that there is a contradictory hadith about grave pilgrimage. In the early days of the arrival of Islam, the pilgrimage of the tomb was forbidden from the Shari'ah of Islam (forbidden by the Prophet) because the friends at that time were still obsessed with the culture of kejahiliyahan, which made the grave a place of cult and the weak faith of Muslims. After the spirit of Islam is strong in the soul and heart of the heart, the Messenger of Allah recommends it. Even the portion of the sunnah of the Prophet and wasilah to get his syafa'at is to visit his grave. So in the philosophy of Islamic law, the tomb pilgrimage has a purpose including several benefits for pilgrims, for example taking ibrah (lessons), can soften the heart, remind death and realize the existence of the Hereafter (doomsday). While the benefits for the inhabitants of the tomb (the mayyit), namely with the presence of prayers and greetings that were read and pronounced from the pilgrims, then it became a relief to alleviate the torment of his grave, as in the hadith of the Prophet. The circumcision of the law is the grave pilgrimage in a review of the philosophy of Islamic law, provided that the grave pilgrimage gives greetings and prayers to the grave expert, does not sit and step on the grave, not slaughter the animals on it, not bernadzar to those who have died. The tomb pilgrimage does not include bid'ah, even the sunnah because the Messenger of Allah made a tomb pilgrimage at the tomb of his mother Aminah. The hadiths about the prohibition of grave pilgrimage must be compromised with the recommendations of the tomb pilgrimage. So that at the meeting point according to the philosophy of Islamic law, the pilgrimage of the grave category of practice recommended and circumcised, is not part of the practice that is prohibited or dibid'ahkan (bid'ah astray)

Abstract

Business is a sector that is practiced by everyone, one reason why many people who are struggling in this sector is driven by their desire to live in prosperity. There is a lot of understanding out there that says that business ethics don't have to be involved, because it will hinder income be earned. This research is a research library with descriptive approaches, which are describing the analysis of Business Ethics: Analysis Of Al- Ghazali's Economic Thought With Sufism Approach. The method of collecting data in this study is documentation, journals and books. Then analyzed using content analysis, which is by analyzing the library data that is descriptive or scientific analysis of the message premise. Data analysis methods are deductive, inductive and comparative. understanding of Al-Ghazali (450-505) regarding the function of ethics in business. According to him, ethics is very important to be included in business activities. We find many ideas like this in some of the phenomenal works, especially in the book Ihya Ulum al-Din. In that case the writer tries to trace some works related to his thoughts, with great hope that he will get the whole idea about ethics in business.

Abstract

This paper discusses the meaning of ‘Usr and Yusr on QS. Al-Insyirah: 5-6. To understand the meaning of a word or structure of Quranic verses is highly complex. Thus, understanding semantically becomes an alternative, that is to reveal the synchronous and diachronic meanings. This study explains two conclusions. Firstly, the basic meaning is a meaning that is absolutely attached to the intended word, without being able to be changed by anyone as long as there is an agreement between the speakers. In obtaining the basic meaning of the word 'usr there are several meanings, among others: oppression, distress, being poor and so on. While the word yusr has the meaning das` ar as follows: easy, gentle, and so on. While the relational meaning is the meaning will change according to the elements that accompany it. The word 'usr there is a new meaning of meaning when juxtaposed with other words, as follows: oppressive, blackmail, precarious, and so on. While the relational meaning of the word yusr has several meanings: left wing troops, available, giving birth easily. Second, synchronicity is research by focusing on one particular period, whereas diachronic is research by considering the development of language from one time to another, both before and after. Then in the meaning of the Qur'an simplified into three parts: Pre-Qur'anic, Qur'anic and third post-Qur'anic.
