Abstract

Numeracy is the ability to apply number concepts, calculation operation skills, and the ability to explain numeracy information in everyday life. At the elementary school level, math numeracy is often considered a difficult and boring subject for students, resulting in a decrease in their learning achievement. The low learning achievement of students is one of the causes of the lack of student motivation. The purpose of this research is to assist students in increasing motivation towards numeracy learning by providing creative media implementation in the form of numeracy snakes and ladders learning media. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are students become more understanding of the material, the implementation of learning becomes fun, learning activities become interactive, and students' numerical learning motivation increases. Therefore, snakes and ladders learning media can increase the learning motivation of elementary school students in mathematics. Kemampuan numerasi merupakan kemampuan yang menerapkan konsep bilangan, keterampilan operasi hitung, dan kemampuan menjelaskan informasi numerasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pada tingkat sekolah dasar, numerasi matematika sering dianggap sebagai mata pelajaran yang sulit dan membosankan bagi siswa, sehingga berdampak pada menurunnya prestasi belajar mereka. Rendahnya prestasi belajar siswa merupakan salah satu penyebab dari kurangnya motivasi belajar siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan motivasi terhadap pembelajaran numerasi dengan memberikan implementasi media yang kreatif dalam bentuk media pembelajaran ular tangga numerasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah siswa menjadi lebih memahami materi, pelaksanaan pembelajaran menjadi menyenangkan, kegiatan belajar menjadi interaktif, dan motivasi belajar numerik siswa menjadi meningkat. Maka dari itu, media pembelajaran ular tangga mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar Matematika siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Mathematics is often considered difficult by students so that the low understanding of mathematical concepts in elementary schools is still a common problem that occurs in learning. The alternative thing that can be done by teachers is by developing innovations in learning, one of which is using card-based educational games. This review aims to examine various studies on the effectiveness of card games in improving students' understanding of mathematics in elementary schools. The method used in this article is a systematic literature study of 10 articles published between 2020 and 2025 obtained from Google scholar. The inclusion criteria include articles that are in line with card games in primary school mathematics learning and have a focus on concept improvement. The results of the review show that the use of card games such as question cards and number cards can increase student engagement in learning. In addition, students are able to understand abstract math concepts and can create a fun learning atmosphere. Thus, card-based educational games are proven to be an effective strategy in improving students' mathematical understanding in primary schools and can be implemented in learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan RME (Realistic Mathematics Education) berbantuan Assembler Edu dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa pada materi bangun ruang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen jenis one-group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SDN Tajur 2 sebanyak 19 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes berpikir kritis matematis yang diberikan sebelum (pretest) dan sesudah (posttest) perlakuan. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posttest dengan nilai signifikansi < 0,001. Rata-rata peningkatan sebesar 40 poin menunjukkan bahwa RME berbantuan Assembler Edu efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa.
