Abstract

Chronic kidney disease, commonly abbreviated as CKD, is a condition characterized by a gradual decline in kidney function over a period of three months or more. Between 2018 and 2021, there was a specific increase in cases of kidney failure. According to statistics, 1,602,059 Indonesian residents, including 33,828 in West Java, were affected by kidney failure in 2018. This number is projected to continue rising (Riskesdas, 2020). Globally, the number of End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) patients reached 3,200,000 in 2020. Kidney disease typically affects individuals between the ages of 46 and 50. The objective of this literature review is to determine the quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). This review utilized Google Scholar and EBSCO databases, employing keywords such as "Chronic Kidney Disease" AND "Management of patients with kidney failure". Fifteen journals meeting the inclusion criteria were selected, published between 2020 and 2024. The predominant study design was cross-sectional, with stratified and purposive sampling methods commonly used. This review employed descriptive and analytical observational methods, utilizing the chi-square test. This literature review demonstrates that sociodemographic factors, including age, education, occupation, and ethnicity, significantly impact the quality of life of end-stage renal disease patients undergoing dialysis. Furthermore, the study highlights a strong association between clinical status and psychological distress among these patients. To enhance the quality of life of these individuals, comprehensive healthcare interventions, particularly psychological support and education, are essential.

Abstract

Jamu is a traditional health drink that has survived in society until now. One of the traditional health drinks that is still ethnic until now is jamu. Jamu has taken root and become the foundation of the strength of the existence of Indonesian culture since ancient times. The purpose of this experiment is to understand the theory of Spectrophotometry, analyze the levels of samples, know the principles of the tools used, and be able to explain the application of spectrophotometry analysis in the pharmaceutical field. This study was conducted using the uv-visible spectrophotometry method using a sample of bone flu herbal medicine that wanted to know the level of paracetamol in the sample. The results obtained from the analysis of the paracetamol content in the bone flu gout herbal medicine showed that the herbal medicine was indicated to contain BKO paracetamol. The levels obtained from the three replications were 0.004%, 0.0016%, and 0.0014% with an average of 0.0010%, so, the paracetamol content in the bone flu herbal medicine sample was 0.0010%. According to BPOM (2006) BKO that is often added to herbal medicine is one of them is paracetamol. This is proven through our observations which show the presence of paracetamol content of 0.0010% in herbal medicine for gout and bone flu.

Abstract

Organization (WHO) in world health statisticsin 2021 shows that the prevalence of anemia in women of reproductive age (15-49) in the world in 2019 is around 29.9%. The results of the 2018 Basic Health Research report by Balitbangkes, in Indonesia the prevalence of anemia in adolescent girls is around 27.2% in the 15-24 year age group. The cause of anemia is generally due to lack of knowledge about anemia, iron deficiency, folic acid, vitamin B12 and Vitamin A. The purpose of this study was to determine anemia in adolescent girls in the Ciputat Region, South Tangerang. This research is a qualitative research. The sample in this study were 7 young womens. Data was collected using triangulation test, processed by data reduction method and presented in the form of narrative text. Most of the young women do not understand anemia so well, so they do not do prevention of anemia such as taking Blood Supplement Tablets (TTD), as a result, young women feel the effects such as dizziness and light-headedness. Poor eating and sleeping patterns and heavy menstruation are the causes of anemia in adolescent girls. Young women still do not understand clearly about anemia, so that anemia suffered by young women is caused by poor eating and sleeping patterns and heavy menstrual expenditure. Teenage girls often experience dizziness and light-headedness due to the anemia they suffer. Adolescent girls have never done prevention of anemia and rarely consume Blood Add Tablets (TTD).It is expected that young women can increase knowledge about anemia.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a medical condition usually characterized by blood glucose levels that exceed normal limits. Glucose in the blood comes from carbohydrates consumed through food, which are then stored as glycogen in the liver and skeletal muscles. Diabetes mellitus has a serious impact as the main cause of chronic complications, including coronary heart disease and stroke which accounts for 65% of deaths. Other complications, such as retinopathy and diabetic foot, are major causes of disability. Overall, these complications increase mortality, morbidity, disability, and the burden of medical costs. This article presents the results of research regarding blood glucose levels among the people of Kasilampe Village, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. This activity involved 50 respondents consisting of 15 men (30%) and 35 women (70%). The aim of this research is to identify blood sugar levels and increase public understanding of the importance of carrying out regular health checks. The method used in this research is the accidental sampling method, namely by selecting individuals who are accessible and willing to take blood glucose level checks. The examination results showed that 35 respondents (70%) had blood glucose levels below 140 mg/dL, which indicates good glucose control. Based on the results of the examination, there were 7 respondents (14%) in the range of 140-199 mg/dL, which indicates that the respondent's glucose level was included in the pre-diabetes category and 8 respondents (16%) had glucose levels ≥ 200 mg/dL, which indicates that the The respondent's glucose is included in the Diabetes category. These findings emphasize the need for appropriate health interventions and education regarding healthy eating patterns to prevent diabetes mellitus. It is hoped that this activity can become the basis for a more effective diabetes prevention program in the community.

Abstract

The rapid growth of hospitals has intensified competition in the hospital business, making it increasingly challenging. This situation necessitates the need to ensure that patients return to the same hospital, in other words, the need to enhance repeat visitation interest, which has a significant impact on the hospital's business sustainability. This research was conducted due to a significant decrease in the number of outpatient visits at Gandaria Hospital. The study aims to analyze the influencing factors on repeat visitation interest at Gandaria Hospital, with repeat visitation interest as the dependent variable, word of mouth, and social media as independent variables, and brand image as an intervening variable. This research employs a quantitative approach with data analysis techniques, specifically descriptive analysis using Excel & SPSS software and Path Analysis using AMOS software. The sample size, calculated according to Hair's formula, consists of 75 outpatient patients. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that word of mouth and social media have a significant positive impact on repeat visitation interest. Social media has a greater influence compared to word of mouth on repeat visitation interest. The brand image variable is proven to be an intervening variable between word of mouth and repeat visitation interest but not between social media and repeat visitation interest.

Abstract

Deviations from normal that directly cause pain and death for the mother and baby. The high maternal mortality rate is caused by high risk, namely women with 4T conditions (pregnancies that occur at too young an age, too old an age, too close a pregnancy distance, too many children). This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women about the 4T factors with pregnancy complications in the Tanjung Unggat Community Health Center working area. The research design used in this research is cross sectional analysis. The sampling technique in this research was accidental sampling of 38 people. The results of research conducted on 38 respondents conducted in August 2024 showed that 22 respondents had sufficient knowledge with a p value of 0.002, where there was a relationship between knowledge and high risk pregnancy (4T) at the Tanjung Unggat Health Center. Meanwhile, there were 25 respondents who had a positive attitude and the risk of pregnancy complications with a p value of 0.000, where there was a relationship between attitude and high risk pregnancy (4T) at the Tanjung Unggat Community Health Center. It is hoped that respondents will better understand the concept of high risk of 4T during pregnancy and be more concerned about the mother's health when planning the next pregnancy.
