Abstract

With the progression of time and technology, society is increasingly abandoning traditional methods and shifting towards online transactions. This change brings consequences in how products are promoted and how consumers are convinced to make purchases. Therefore, this research aims to identify potential variables that may influence consumer purchase intention on the Tokopedia e-commerce platform. The variables under investigation include e-WOM (electronic Word-of-Mouth), online reviews, brand familiarity, and trustworthiness. The analysis method employed is Partial Least Squares (PLS). Research data was obtained through a survey involving over 300 active Tokopedia users. The analysis results demonstrate that brand familiarity, e-WOM, and online reviews have a positive and significant impact on consumer purchase intention. Additionally, it was found that trustworthiness acts as a mediator between brand familiarity, e-WOM, online reviews, and consumer purchase intention. This study provides a significant contribution to the understanding of factors influencing consumer purchase intention on the e-commerce platform, specifically Tokopedia. Abstract

Global warming has become an issue for the whole world until now. The cause of global warming is air pollution produced by engine fuels from various automotives that can produce carbon dioxide. This encourages people to be more concerned about the environment, including the automotive industry. The rise of the movement to care for the environment encourages automotive companies to make electric car products which can be a solution to reduce pollution. In recent years, electric cars have started to enter the market in Indonesia. However, this is not well received by the Indonesian people. This is related to the low purchase intention of the electric car itself. The purpose of this study was to determine empirically the effect of attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, and price sensitivity on consumer purchased intention of electric cars in Jakarta. This study uses data collected from 153 respondents who are people who at least are undergoing undergraduate studies and have knowledge of electric cars in Jakarta. The data was obtained by distributing an online questionnaire in the form of a google form through social media. The data is then processed using SmartPLS 3.2.9 software. The results of this study are attitude, subjective norm, and price sensitivity have a positive and significant influence on the purchase intention of electric cars in Jakarta. Meanwhile, perceived behavioral control has no effect on the purchase intention of electric cars in Jakarta.

Abstract

Bali is the most affected region by the tourism sector during pandemic with economic growth of -9.31% in 2020. The economic difficulties faced by the community, especially those who used to work in the tourism sector, made people turn to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector in order to continue to earn income in the midst of uncertain conditions during the pandemic. This research reviewed some literature related to the role of MSMEs in Bali’s economic growth during pandemic. The results show that during the economic contraction, MSMEs have a big role in revitalizing the Bali economy. The increase in the number of MSMEs in Bali during pandemic implies that there are still many Balinese people who have a high entrepreneurial orientation. The good performance of MSMEs with a good entrepreneurial orientation is able to support Bali economy during pandemic which has experienced a drastic decline.

Abstract

The technology company GoTo has listed its share securities on the Indonesian capital market. GoTo has listed shares with a series or Multiple Voting Shares (MVS) scheme. The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has issued POJK, which regulates MVS. MVS gives rise to shares with voting rights that are different from other shares. This system is known as the dual-class voting system (DCVS). This study aims to discuss how to protect the interests of retail investors who have investments in companies that have MVS. This research uses legal normative. This study concludes that MVS must have a specific validity period, except State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). The government must own SOEs that influence many people's lives with dual-colored shares. These MVS shares do not have voting rights but still, have the advantage of dividends. The purpose of MVS is for shareholders to protect the company's long-term interests. The government owns Dwiwarna shares intending to safeguard the interests of the national economy. MVS or DCVS affects the long-term running of the company's business to remain appropriate and avoid a hostile takeover.
