Abstract

This research aims to describe the learning strategies used by students in LC (Language Center), Kampung Inggris Pare, Kediri. The research question is what the learning strategies used by students in the intensive 2-week program in LC Course, Kampung Inggris Pare, Kediri? There are some aspects that should be considered in learning to speak. It includes fluency, pronunciation, grammar, accuracy, and appropriateness’. The subject of this research is B6 class students who were in the intensive 2-week program in LC which consist of 7 students. This research used a descriptive qualitative method and used two data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and documentation. The findings of this research revealed there are six strategies that were used by students when learning speaking English and the researcher concludes that the social strategy is mostly used by students with a total of 46,67%. The conclusion of this research that the social strategy is commonly used by students because they prefer to involve other people in their learning. The researcher suggests to the next researcher can further develop the theories and findings found in this study and also hopes the students can know what their correct learning strategies are to support their learning.

Abstract

The research is motivated by the implementation of instilling the values of religious moderation in students through Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning, aiming to foster positive attitudes among students towards the diverse religious landscape in Indonesia. PAI teaching involves instilling several values of religious moderation, including tolerance, morality, consultation, nationalism, equality, and equity. The diversity present in Indonesia is considered a blessing that should be preserved and cherished, thus emphasizing the need for unity among different religious, ethnic, cultural, and traditional groups. The implementation of religious moderation values serves as an appropriate strategy to promote harmony and peaceful coexistence amidst the existing differences. The research is conducted at Yos Sudarso Majenang High School, an educational institution affiliated with the Catholic Church, despite having a majority of Muslim students. This study adopts a field research approach, employing a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection methods include interviews, observations, and documentation.

Abstract

Sufism is often considered old-fashioned and not open to change, even though tasawuf also accepts new things so that reforms occur both in etymology and terminology. And the purpose of this study is to describe the essence of Sufism in terminology. The method used is qualitative with literature study techniques, then all relevant data is collected, analyzed, and finally concluded the relevant content. The results of the study show that the essence of Sufism in terms of definition depends on the point of view of each person. The principles used are the Qur'an and Assunnah and include a special dimension to discuss how best to get closer to God so that the Divine appears, Ilahi Anta Maqsudi wa ridhaka mathlubi.

Abstract

Success or targets to be achieved in an activity must be measured by a tool called evaluation, especially in the field of education. As for Islam itself, the position of evaluation is very important where the Prophet exemplified it when he carried out the task of treatises and da'wah from Allah, the purpose of this study is to describe the concept of educational evaluation from an Islamic perspective. The method used is a qualitative literature study, data collection is documentation, then the contents are analyzed and concluded. The results of the study show that the Concept of Educational Evaluation from an Islamic Perspective must be carried out in a comprehensive manner which includes aspects of knowledge, attitudes, and skills where all of these things have also been exemplified by the Prophet when evaluating his companions.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to describe the product design of learning media by game tajwid matching and the impact of using this learning media for Elementary School Level. The type of the research is Research and Development based on the model of ADDIE. Data collection technique that researcher used are questionnaire and test both pre-test and post-test. And data analysis was carried the content analysis, descriptive, and T-test. The result of research conducted by researchers can be concluded that: 1) The product of development is game of tajwid matching. The product has been validated by some experts i.e. learning material expert get the percentage of 92%, media design expert get the percentage of 88%, and from the teacher get the percentage of 88%. This mean that the game is fair enough to be implemented for learning process in the class. 2) The game of tajwid matching is effective to increase the learning result. The product proven significantly to improve the learning result and be able to be seen in the average of post test score is greater than post-test (77,42>94,84). Based on the T-test calculation resulted that tcount>ttable (7,2759494>2,036933334) means that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected.

Abstract

To improve the quality of education and anticipate the demands of competence and learning in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, The Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia launched a policy known as “Merdeka Belajar"(Freedom for Learning"). The essence of Merdeka Belajar is to explore the greatest potential of school teachers and students to innovate and improve the quality of learning independently. Freedom for learning requires teacher “Merdeka Mengajar” (Freedom to Teach), where teachers freely apply their professional autonomy in improving the quality of learning and student learning outcomes. Merdeka Mengajar can only be done by professional teachers and can adapt and face the challenges of science and technological advances throughout their careers. This suggests the need for continuous professional development of teachers so that teachers become as lifelong learner. Teacher professional development must address the problems and needs of teachers in improving student learning processes and outcomes. Therefore, the teacher professional development model that is considered the most appropriate is the school-based teacher professional development. School-based teacher professional development can make teachers as a professional learning community.

Abstract

.This research aims to discuss the educational role of cultural Sufism teachings in strengthening religious moderation in society. This research adopts a qualitative approach by applying descriptive-analytical methods. The type of data collected in this research is qualitative and not in the form of statistical figures. The main research data sources include literature related to cultural Sufism, religious moderation, and wahidiyah teachings. In addition, secondary sources for this research include references related to the main topic, taken from articles, books, and documents from previous research. The results of this research show that the role of wahidiyah as one of the products of cultural Sufism in Indonesia in strengthening religious moderation can be seen from the implementation of wahidiyah teachings, especially wahidiyah teachings which cover the social field, namely: 1) the principle of indiscriminate broadcasting and development of wahidiyah ; 2) Group division is based on general social differentiation in society, they have the same rights and obligations; 3) "strategy for establishing social balance" which originates from the fourth principle of Wahidiyah teachings, namely yukti kulla dzi haqqin haqqoh (giving rights to everyone who has the right; carrying out obligations without demanding rights); 4) The core teaching of "efficiency and productivity of personal and social life" which originates from the main teachings of Wahidiyah, namely taqdimul aham fal aham tsummal anfa' fal anfa' (to prioritize things that are more important and more useful than those that are important and useful). By implementing Wahidiyah teachings according to the guidance provided in the Wahidiyah prayer, the values ​​of religious moderation have been well formed in every person practicing Wahidiyah, whether as an individual, a servant of God, or a member of society in the dimension of diversity in general.

Abstract

PPIM Ngruki has attracted controversy and is considered contrary to the New Order government since its establishment fifty years ago. This is because some of its founders rejected the establishment of the Single Principle of Pancasila as the State Ideology. Since then, the founders of PPIM Ngruki, including Abu Bakar Baásyir and Abdullah Sungkar, have been fugitives from the New Order government. Despite the fact that some PPIM Ngruki alumni are involved in such terror activities, people with links to the Al-Mukmin Ngruki pesantren are often considered members of the same group. Literature research or literature study uses a qualitative approach to obtain data and uses various literature as sources. In this study, researchers use the results of previous research on the subject or type of research related to the research subject. The instillation of tolerance values in the curriculum, teachers, and students shows the strengthening of religious moderation education. The cultivation of PPIM Ngruki's tolerance value is also seen from two things: first, PPIM Ngruki does not impose the enforcement of Islamic law; second, PPIM Ngruki received positive responses and had a middle stance on politics. Thus, it can be concluded that the cultivation and implementation of tolerance values in religious moderation education at PPIM Ngruki has gone well.

Abstract

This study explores the concepts of celestial science education within the work of Muhammad Yunus bin Abdullah, a lesser-known Falak scholar in Indonesia, particularly in East Java, and his book "Risālatil Qamaraīn Fī Ijtimā’in Nayyiraīn." Classified as Taqribi Hisab Hakiki, the book undergoes an extensive content analysis, involving a literature review and qualitative interviews with celestial science experts. The findings indicate that the book "Wasīlah Al Mubtadi’īn Fī Tarjamati Risālatil Kamaraīn Fī Ijtimā’in Nayyiraīn" presents a comprehensive approach to learning celestial science, covering fundamental concepts, intricate calculations of the lunar month initiation, and detailed explanations of astronomical phenomena. Utilizing classical Arabic terms explained in Javanese Arabic (pego), the book maintains a connection with traditional celestial science while ensuring local accessibility. Emphasizing the disparities between sidereal and synodic months, the text integrates practical applications of arithmetic and trigonometric principles. Notably, acknowledging multiple sources indicates a broad approach to celestial science education, and the inclusion of practical information fosters a balance between theoretical and applied knowledge, aligning the study with both classical and modern perspectives in celestial science.

Abstract

Hadith, as one of the primary sources of Islamic teachings after the Qur'an, plays a significant role in guiding the lives of Muslims. This research delves specifically into the community's perception of the importance of Hadith in Islam, aiming to explore both theoretical and practical implications. Theoretically, this study provides an initial foundation for further exploration of community perceptions regarding Hadith's significance, while practically, it offers insights for advancing studies on this topic. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method, the research collects qualitative data from primary sources, including literature reviews of various perspectives, and secondary sources, such as articles, books, and prior research. The findings reveal that the community's perception of the importance of Hadith is reflected in its implementation within their social environment, emphasizing universal principles without discrimination, equal rights and responsibilities across social groups, and fostering harmonious relationships. By adhering to Hadith teachings in alignment with Islamic principles, the values of community life manifest in the behavior of individuals as servants of Allah and as members of society, promoting virtuous and harmonious living.
