Jurnal Tumbuh Kembang Anak Usia Dini (E-ISSN: 2985-3915) is a forum for studying and exchanging information about research and practice in the field of PAUD, especially those related to child growth and development. Jurnal Tumbuh Kembang Anak Usia Dini presents original research results from researchers from all walks of life. The main focus of this research is on aspects of child growth and development which include religious and moral values, cognitive values, language values, social and emotional values, physical motor values, and artistic values. Jurnal Tumbuh Kembang Anak Usia Dini is published twice a year, in June and December, with the main focus being aspects of early childhood growth and development. Serving journals require lecturers, teachers, students, and practitioners. Aims and Scope The purpose of Jurnal Tumbuh Kembang Anak Usia Dini is to disseminate information about the growth and development of early childhood based on 6 aspects of development, in order to improve the quality of early childhood education. Jurnal Tumbuh Kembang Anak Usia Dini is published for a global audience in order to create a golden generation that is superior, has character, and has a noble character. Our target audience includes lecturers, teachers, practitioners, students, and the general public who are interested in innovative ideas and practices related to early childhood growth and development. We look for articles that are interesting and accessible and can explore the latest thinking and emerging trends and ideas in child development design, growth promotion, and development. Jurnal Tumbuh Kembang Anak Usia Dini accepts all aspects of early childhood education, but several areas of research will be prioritized and emphasized. Abstract

This study aims to develop an educational game tool, the alphabet box, to help Group B children at TK Al Pikri Bojongmangu recognize letters. Early childhood has unique characteristics and requires positive stimulation for the development of various aspects, including language development. Language development in children is very important as it is a tool for thinking, self-expression, and communication. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The development process of this game tool involves several stages, starting from needs analysis, design, prototyping, to testing and evaluation. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires given to teachers and children at TK Al Pikri Bojongmangu. The results of the study show that the alphabet box is effective in improving children's ability to recognize letters. Children become more interested and motivated to learn letters through this game. Teachers also responded positively to the use of this tool in the learning process. The conclusion of this study is that the alphabet box can be an effective and enjoyable tool for letter recognition for early childhood. The use of educational game tools like this can optimally support children's language development.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an educational game titled "Guess the Pictures and Letters" which is designed to improve the cognitive development of early childhood. This game was developed through a systematic approach using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model with the aim of identifying the needs of children in PAUD Annawawiyah Arrahmaniyah and implementing solutions that are in accordance with their cognitive development characteristics. This game is designed to improve logical thinking skills, imagination, and understanding of pictures and letters by using interactive and interesting elements such as drag-and-drop, puzzles, and choices that children can choose from. The research findings indicate that the educational guessing game for images and letters that has been developed has been tested and validated by experts, demonstrating that this game has good quality and is suitable for use by children aged 4-5 years in developing their cognitive abilities The validation results confirm that this game can be accessed both individually and in groups, and can be integrated into existing curricula Furthermore, out of the 10 subjects tested, the majority fell into the category of Developing as Expected (40%), followed by Starting to Develop (30%), Developing Very Well (20%), and Not Developing (10%) Subject-02 and Subject-06 achieved the highest scores, while Subject-09 had the lowest score. The conclusion drawn from this research is that the development of educational games for guessing images and letters has proceeded systematically and has identified relevant needs for enhancing logical thinking, imagination, and understanding of images and letters in young children This study proves that educational games can be an effective tool in improving the cognitive development of young children.

Abstract

This research aims to develop digital digest-friendly books to stimulate early childhood literacy skills. The developed book, titled "Blue Ball," is designed to be used by children aged 4-5 years. The research used the Research and Development (R&D) method with Borg and Gall procedures, through steps such as preliminary research, product format development, small-scale trial, and final revision. Data were collected through validation sheets, interviews, and observations. The research was conducted in five PAUD institutions in the East Sahu sub-district, with a sample of 10 students from TK Negeri 4 West Halmahera and PAUD Asri Lestari. The results of the assessment and validation showed that the book "Bola Biru" is very feasible to use as a learning medium to stimulate early childhood literacy skills. The Digital Digest-Friendly Book developed in this research focuses not only on technological aspects but also on content that is in accordance with early childhood development. The stories presented are designed to attract children's attention, increase interest in reading, and facilitate interactive literacy learning. By using a smartphone, the book provides a more practical and enjoyable learning experience for children. This research shows that the appropriate use of digital media can be an effective support tool for improving early childhood literacy skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of loose part media on the learning interest of Group B children at TK Nasional Plus Tunas Global. Learning interest is a crucial factor in the success of early childhood education, and engaging learning media can enhance children's motivation to learn. Loose part media, consisting of manipulable materials, provides children with opportunities to explore and create. The research employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The sample involves two groups of children, with one group receiving the loose part media intervention and the other serving as a control. Observation instruments are used to measure learning interest indicators such as curiosity, interest, attention, involvement, and persistence. The results indicate that the use of loose part media has a significant positive effect on children's learning interest. Children who engaged with loose part media showed higher increases in learning interest compared to the control group. These findings affirm the importance of innovative and interactive teaching approaches in early childhood education.The study provides practical implications for educators and parents in selecting and using appropriate learning media to support optimal growth and development in young children. It also offers a foundation for further research on the impact of loose part media on other aspects of child development

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of picture card media on the language development of children with speech delay. The research employs a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design. Sampling technique used is purposive sampling to simplify the data collection and processing. The sample comprises 25 students with speech delay from RA Se-Kecamatan Bunyu, Tarakan City, North Kalimantan Province. In this study, the assessment of children's language development is conducted using the Denver Developmental Screening Test (DDST), commonly referred to as Denver II. This tool is designed to measure child development for individuals aged 0 to under 6 years. Denver II includes 125 test items categorized into four domains: personal-social, fine motor-adaptive, language, and gross motor. For this research, the focus is solely on the language domain, with modifications made to suit the specific conditions. A total of 26 statement items were included. The results indicate an improvement in Language Ability Scores: The Paired Sample T-test results show a significant difference between the pre-test score (mean 51.40) and the post-test score (mean 90.64). The increase in the mean score by 39.24 points signifies substantial progress in the language abilities of children with speech delay following the intervention using picture card media. Statistical Significance: The significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000, which is less than 0.05, indicates that the difference between pre-test and post-test scores is statistically significant. This reinforces the conclusion that there is a positive change in the language abilities of children with speech delay. The limitations of this study include the relatively small sample size and the limited duration of the intervention. Future research with a larger sample size and a longer intervention period may provide a more comprehensive understanding of the impact of picture card media.

Abstract

Aktivitas bermain yang dilakukan oleh anak-anak tidak akan bisa lepas dengan bergerak. Bahkan, bergerak menjadi substansi utama dalam bermain yang dilakukan oleh anak-anak. Untuk itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menjelaskan batasan bergerak dalam konteks kegiatan bermain yang dilakukan oleh anak-anak. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif-deskriptif yang sumber datanya adalah dokumen berupa buku dan artikel yang membahas bergerak dan bermain. Tekni pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan membaca dan mencatat. Data-data ini kamudian dikaji dengan menggunakan analisis isi. Hasil penelitiannya adalah bergerak merupakan basis utama dalam aktivitas bermain; bergerak yang dilakukan anak dalam bermain berorientasi pada pertumbuhan fisik dan pengembangan kognitif; dan mekanisme bergerak anak dalam bermain distimulasi oleh kerja fisik dan kognitif.

Abstract

The implementation of holistic early childhood development integration in PAUD units can also inhibit the increase in stunting rates that are so high, especially in villages that have programs to accelerate the reduction of stunting. In addition to optimizing early childhood nutrition, the village government also optimizes one village to have one PAUD teacher who is trained to increase his competence and quality of the program to accelerate the decline in stunting prevention and subscriptions. Parental education and knowledge is the main priority, which is a habit in the community when providing care and providing nutritional intake for early childhood growth and development in the home. The habit of parents in providing this parenting pattern is still a problem in using old patterns in parenting; this habit is something that often happens in each home. The village PAUD unit institution, TKIT Subulussalam, Banda Aceh City, is a research site that was researched using qualitative methods. Based on what was done in the field, the focus of research conducted by researchers turned out to be three factors that the community and parents did not know that the problem of stunting occurred in early childhood, namely: (1) unbalanced nutrition; (2) care that is not in accordance with the standards of child development achievement; and (3) personal hygiene and the environment where the child is or can be called clean and healthy living behavior

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of the Character-Based Holistic Learning Model (PBHK) which focuses on the nine pillars of character in instilling an attitude of independence in early childhood at Nurul A'in Kindergarten. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The CBHE model aims to educate children to become individuals who are not only cognitively intelligent, but also have strong morality and independence. The nine pillars of character in the CBHE model include love of God, independence, discipline, honesty, respect, compassion, caring, fairness, and self-confidence. The implementation of CBHE in Nurul A'in Kindergarten is done through three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. In the planning stage, teachers compile teaching modules that include learning objectives and materials. In the implementation stage, learning is carried out every day with a gradual method: knowing feeling (Monday and Tuesday), telling a story (Wednesday and Thursday), and acting feeling (Friday) which involves various media such as storybooks and hand puppets. Evaluation is done through daily assessments categorized in developmental milestones, such as Not Yet Appearing (BM), Less Appearing (KM), Already Appearing (SM), and Consistent (K). The results show that the implementation of this model is effective in shaping children's independence, although there are challenges such as time constraints and less than optimal parental support. This study recommends close collaboration between schools and parents to ensure consistency of character education at home and at school
