Abstract

In this modern era, technology and information continue to develop in accordance with the development of human needs. One of them is the internet. The internet has many benefits, including as a means of communication, entertainment, and a source of information for education. To access the internet, a wireless network that is flexible, practical, and high mobility is needed. Students generally access the internet for their learning needs by using smartphones, laptops, and other devices through wireless network facilities at their residences and public places. Based on the results of a survey to the Batam International University dormitory, it was found that wireless network facilities did not yet exist. Therefore, it is necessary to install a wireless network in the Batam International University dormitory so that dormitory students can access the internet. This PkM activity is carried out through various stages, including the preparation stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage. The result of this PkM activity is that dormitory students can connect to the installed wireless network and access the internet for learning and other needs.

Abstract

This article discusses the design, development and implementation of a simple web-based internal control system and accounting records for MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises). One of the problems which is commonly occur to MSMEs is that they do not have clear cash flows of the enterprise, there is also no financial information report / financial statement that can be used as a guide in making business decisions. MSMEs or the subject who experience the same problem in this study is Sufins Coffee, a business running in the field of coffee shop. The method used in this study is by observation, interviews, and documentation. The implementation of the web-based Accounting Information System (AIS) made by the author shows a very pleasing result. Reports of financial information generated by the new system can assist the owner in making decisions.

Abstract

The design of the company profile is made as a promotional media, introduces and conveys information to potential customers. In the video company profile, which contains a company profile, Hello Education’s private tutoring programs and learning systems. The collection technique uses the step method by using the data obtained in the form of video. Data collection was carried out using observations and interviews, making video company profile design using the Adobe Premier Pro CC 2017 application as the design progress. The results of the company profile video have been implemented on YouTube and Instagram, with that it has been proven that customers can increase by using the implemented video company profile

Abstract

The purpose of this practical work is to help OMA Tour & Travel in promoting several tourist destinations in Batam City to local and foreign tourists by using videos as promotional media that will be published on Youtube. This video contains several collections of information about tourist attractions such as place descriptions, available facilities, entrance ticket prices, operational times, as well as addresses and locations of tourist attractions. In the process of merging videos, the author will use the Wondershare Filmora X application as a means to combine the videos. Data collection techniques carried out in this activity are observation, interviews, and also documentation. The author hopes to help increase local and foreign tourist customers and expand marketing reach on OMA Tour & Travel.

Abstract

This study develops a system that provides information about the location of producing vegetables and fruit and the route to the selected location in the form of a map in the form of a GIS system. This research was conducted to support the Department of Agriculture and Food Security of West Bandung Regency (KBB), which does not yet have such a system. Information about agriculture and food crops is still in the form of news and simple and there is no map feature, let alone a route feature to the location of producing vegetables and fruit. Making this web using the PHP programming language, MySQL database, CSS, HTML, Google Maps API. Information on vegetable and fruit producers was obtained from the Department of Agriculture and Food Security of the KBB. The map was taken from Google Maps, then edited to provide information on producing vegetables and fruit and travel routes to the selected location. The results of this study are a Geographic Information System which is displayed in the form of a website equipped with features in the form of information on the location of vegetables and fruit producers, news, articles, visitor comments, maps and routes to vegetables and fruit producers. These maps and routes have been adapted to the actual conditions to be passed by web visitors or fruit and vegetable commodity seekers in West Bandung district. The location of this object was obtained by conducting a direct survey to the object of agriculture and vegetable and fruit producing plantations. By implementing features from the Google Maps API that utilize the Auto Update function and Directions Service to display maps in mapping the location of agricultural commodities for this geographic information system, visitors can find out the locations of agricultural commodities in West Bandung district without having to ask other peoples. Website administrators can add new vegetable and fruit producing locations or change or delete. From the results of the questionnaire, it was found that the geographic information system for mapping agricultural products in West Bandung district has been running and functioning well with a satisfaction level of 76.92%.

Abstract

The current modern era is an era that is very dependent on network and internet, one of the benefits is to provide convenience, especially for MSMEs ( Micro, Small, and Medium EnterPrises), Company located behind padang called Union Jaya is one of them, they still use book to record all their transactions so that the data is invalid and cannot be used as a reference for store development. So this practical work aims to help Union Jaya companies to manage data, cash register systems, and valid report, this website is designed using a PHP program and then impelemented according to the company’s criteria, this website is expected to be able to ease the owner’s handle the store and provide references, especially when owner taking business decisions for the future and can be a solution for other PkM.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore how public discontent with government policies is addressed. This is a descriptive qualitative study that describes how the collective treatment of perspectives carried out in policies is in line with current social conditions. The goal is to avoid misunderstandings between municipal and federal governments. The following step is to discover the truth. Individuals involved in policy implementation must be able to explain their policies to members of the public. Furthermore, the policy should be founded on execution integrity so that the recipient understands the action. Policy knowledge may conflict with what is happening on the ground. To increase public trust in the government, the implementation of handling public opinion in the form of documents, pictures, and related policies by the government itself must be done openly, honestly, and responsibly. Environmental conditions and inter-organizational relationships may have an impact. Characteristics, organizational resources for program implementation, and the government's ability to overcome them which is guided by general guidelines for public service implementation: openness, accountability, status, participation, and equality.

Abstract

As weak policies are blamed for poor economic outcomes in many developing countries and institutions and governance have taken on a greater role in explaining policymaking, this article provides an overview of a collection of papers in the respective study on institutions, governance, and economic development in Indonesia. Many scholars assume that institutions and governance are ultimately interconnected. It is understood that if an institution in a nation is fair, the integrity of the nation's governance would also have to be decent. Therefore, such studies have never been conducted in Indonesia. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach to analyze how an institutional approach might affect Indonesia’s governance and economic development. The results of the research indicate that institutions and governance contribute an equal impact in a country's economic development. The economic development process in Indonesia is hindered by a poor governance system, exacerbated by a lack of commitment and consistency.

Abstract

Warung Akai is a business that engaged in selling basic necessities since 2016. From the beginning of its operation until now, Warung Akai uses a manual recording system in an ordinary cash book to process every store transaction. This causes omissions in data recording and shop owners also experience difficulties in planning for store expansion in the future because they cannot clearly know the financial and stock condition of the store. This study aims to solve the problems faced by Warung Akai in recording data and processing financial reports. This research produces a web-based accounting information system that is able to record all store transactions from sales, purchases, stock of goods, to processing financial reports. This accounting information system is designed using the PHP, HTML and CSS programming languages and uses XAMPP as a localhost web server. The implementation of the accounting information system has succeeded in increasing efficiency and effectiveness in recording transactions, planning inventory and processing Warung Akai's financial reports.

Abstract

Renjana Kopi is one of the Coffee Shops in Batam that sells contemporary coffee and non-coffee drinks. However, Renjana Kopi does not yet have a promotional media in the form of a promotional video that can introduce it to the wider community. Promotional video is a form of communication of marketing activities or advertisers, and disseminating product information to consumers who want to persuade. Therefore, we need a promotional media in the form of a video in a cinematic concept that can provide information and advantages of Renjana Kopi. The methods used are direct interviews with the owner of Renjana Kopi, direct observation to the location, and literature study. The results of this research will be implemented on Renjana Kopi's social media account via Instagram. The promotional video can increase sales, and is useful as a medium of information for the public.
