Abstract

In web-based applications, communication between web (frontend) and database (backend) is crucial as it is not only used to store and retrieve data but also to perform other processes either at the frontend or backend. However, the process that is performed at frontend could lead to data leak due to weak security. Therefore, this paper presents the idea by storing all process including prepared statements of Create, Retrieve, Update and Delete (CRUD) and calculations into database using PL/SQL programming language (Oracle) where web based of Java Server Pages (JSP) is used as a frontend. The framework of Model View Controller (MVC) is applied as the guideline to handle the development of web based. Besides events advanced SQL such as stored procedures, functions and trigger event are implemented where they are used to commit the operation of CRUD. As the output, all operation of CRUD, calculation, error handling (exception handlers) is committed and process at backend while frontend is used only to display data and send input from user. As conclusion, the transaction data between web and database can be secured as well as all processes are performed in the database.

Abstract

The development of information technology is very rapid regarding the promotion of a product to be introduced to the public, for that we need media that can promote it to the public. For this reason, the purpose of this activity is to create a company profile video to help Always Tour and Travel by introducing the services provided to the public. This video contains services sold by Always Tour and Travel. Data collection techniques used in making videos are interviews and observations. In this concept there are preproduction, then production, and also post-production stages. The application used by the author is Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2020. The end result is a company video Always Tour and Travel that has been uploaded on the Youtube platform. With the company profile video, it can increase sales and information to the public

Abstract

Kassimura is a business engaged in the furniture sector which has been running for 12 years. The obstacle faced by Kassimura while carrying out his business activities is the sale promotion which is carried out using Facebook ads which include Instagram, Facebook is not effective because it makes advertisements that are not true. The methodology applied in this research is a qualitative descriptive analytical method which aims to solve practical problems in the modern world. Results of the study in form of the design and advertisement through facebook ads. The implementation of the research gave many positive impacts where the owner of the Kassimura company felt that sales had increased more than before because of the good and correct way of advertising accompanied by an attractive design

Abstract

Practical work is a mandatory course carried out by final year students before the thesis is completed, with the aim of gaining practical experience which is carried out for approximately 3 months in the field. Where practical work is carried out from October 25, 2021 to January 25, 2022. In carrying out practical work activities the author serves as a field supervisor and finds obstacles in a project for the construction of the Show Unit Villa Marina Opus Bay, there are several constraining factors during the project work process. This affects the implementation time which results in not being completed on time. The obstacles include material delays and lack of manpower. In carrying out these activities, data collection was carried out using field observations and field documentation.

Abstract

PT. Dua Utama Jaya is a company that engaged in training and certification and located in Batam City. This company has been established since 2004 and focuses on providing internationally certified training to support industry, construction, oil, And gas. The problem experienced by the company is the lack of information about services and only through brochures, websites, and through individuals. Therefore, the company requires media information about the Company Profile to inform the public in introducing the company. The methodology applied in this research is the Applied research. To produce a good and quality company profile video-based media design, it is used for supporting applications such as Adobe Premiere CS6 and Filmora. The results of the Video Company Profile will be uploaded to the Youtube Platform owned by PT. Two Utama Jaya. Provide Information about The Company to The Public and Improve The Image for The Company

Abstract

Tanjak is an accessory used by the people at the time the Malay kingdom stood. However, the traditional era began to develop into the era of digital culture and Malay heritage is fading. The purpose of this study is a form of concern if culture is simply forgotten without any attempt to reintroduce it. With today's technology, climbs can be visualized using technology that can display 3D objects in the real world. This technology is usually called augmented reality, so tanjak can be known to the wider community which can be accessed using smart devices that support augmented reality and use the operating system android. This research itself uses the method Multimedia Development Life Cycle. In the process using a variety of software such as cinema4D, Unity, adobe illustrator. The output obtained is an application augmented reality with a .apk extension that can be downloaded using the google play store

Abstract

In the current era, the development of information technology is growing rapidly, a lot of information that we can access through the digital world based on the website. One example of the impact of technological developments is that companies are starting to make company profiles. The purpose of this research is to create a company profile for Hassani Can Packaging as a tool and media to be able to reach more and wider areas as well as a means to overcome difficulties in finding new customers. In this study, the waterfall method will be used to design the company profile website, where the website has a homepage, about us, products, career, and contact us.

Abstract

Cafe has been a chosen place especially for teenagers up to adults as a place to hangout and dine in. Numerous café established has made micro, small and medium enterprises competitions fiercer than ever, by café services to food menus. The importance of promotion can increased by promoting with mouth to mouth, up to promoting in social media to attract more people to visit the café. Promotion is a method to make consumer attention towards a brand or brand awareness. Therefore, micro, small, and medium enterprises must have a video media as a tool to promote its business. With company profile video to promote its business name towards people. This article explains the process of implementing Community Service Project by Universitas Internasional Batam student for 89 Degrees Coffee & Roastery café. Writer will develop company profile video as a tool that will be used as promotion on one of many social media which is Instagram, using cinematography technique. Abstract

The development of globalization affects people in various aspects of life. One of them is the fast-food industry, people prefer to eat at fast-food restaurants where food is prepared and served quickly. The increasing growth of fast-food restaurants causes strong competition between fast-food restaurants. The purpose of this study is to develop and test a framework to investigate the significant effect between social media marketing, perceived value, perceived quality, and behaviour intention and the intervening effect of the brand image and customer satisfaction in fast-food restaurants in Batam. The respondents in this study are customers who have visited the top five popular fast-food restaurants in Batam. The sample’s criteria used in this study is non-probability with judgemental sampling method. A total of 250 questionnaires were returned and the data were analyzed using SEM (Structural Equation Modelling) PLS. The results of this study indicate that social media marketing has a significant effect to brand image, perceived quality, and perceived value have a significant effect on customer satisfaction, brand image and customer satisfaction have a significant effect on behaviour intention.

Abstract

This research focuses on street kid, who spend their time engaged in daily activities or wandering the streets and public places due to financial constraints in their families. Batam City, in particular, has a significant number of street children involved in various activities such as busking, selling cigarettes or newspapers, and even car cleaning at red lights. It is essential for the Batam City government, especially the Batam City Social Service, to prioritize the welfare and development of these children. This study aims to examine the policy implementation of the street children development program in Batam City, identifying the obstacles hindering the effective execution of this program. The qualitative research method, including observation and interviews, was employed to gather data. The findings reveal two key policies implemented by the Batam City Social Service: control programs and socialization and skills training. However, several challenges exist in implementing these programs, such as the lack of shelter or resting places for street children. Through this research, a deeper understanding of the policy implementation process and the barriers faced in the development of street children in Batam City can be gained.
