Abstract

The water quality in Batu Merah, Sirimau District, Ambon City, which is dominated by hilly and mountainous topography, remains a significant concern. The local community largely relies on borewell water to meet their clean water needs, but their understanding of the water quality is still limited. This descriptive qualitative study involved collecting water samples from the field, which were then analyzed in a laboratory to evaluate physical, chemical, and biological parameters. The results showed that the borewell water quality does not fully meet the required standards. In borewell sample 1, the manganese levels exceeded the permitted maximum, while borewell sample 2 revealed a total coliform count of 1600, and sample 3 recorded a total coliform count of 70, both exceeding the allowable limit of 50 per 100 ml. Therefore, the borewell water in this area has not yet fully met the clean water quality standards as outlined in the Ministry of Health Regulation No. 20 of 2023 and Ministry of Health Regulation No. 416/Menkes/Per/IX/199, particularly regarding chemical and biological parameters.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality and quantity of well water in Sifnana Village, South Tanimbar District, Tanimbar Islands Regency. Dug wells are the community's primary source of clean water, especially due to insufficient PDAM services. However, there is variation in the water quality produced by these wells. Some wells provide water that is odorless, colorless, and tasteless, while others are contaminated by dirt and coliform bacteria. Factors such as the distance between wells and pollution sources and environmental cleanliness significantly affect water quality. Regarding quantity, tidal fluctuations also play a major role, with well water levels decreasing drastically during low tides. Therefore, the community must improve well maintenance and environmental sanitation to ensure the water quality remains safe for consumption

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the Problem Based Learning model on the ability to solve problems in the IPS Geography subject in class VIII SMP Negeri 66 Central Maluku. Because studying geography is not only being able to understand concepts, but also being able to apply these concepts in solving geographic problems. Solving Problems can be seen as a process, because in solving problems a series of concepts, rules and information that are known are used to solve the problem. Students are required to think systematically to solve geographic problems. Therefore, in teaching geography teachers should be able to create a learning atmosphere. , This type of research uses a quantitative approach to calculate the percentage of numbers from the results of the questionnaire regarding the influence of the problem based learning model on the ability to solve problems in geography subjects. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between problem based learning (variable x) on problem solving variables (y) Then, it can be seen from the calculation of the coefficient of determination that the problem based learning variable (x) influences problem solving (y) by 53.2% (R.Square in the Summary Model) while 46.8% is influenced by other variables which were not examined. in this research

Abstract

his study aims to analyze the influence of taxpayer awareness and tax sanctions on motor vehicle taxpayer compliance at SAMSAT Waihaong, Ambon City. The research employs a quantitative method with a survey approach. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to 100 randomly selected respondents using a simple random sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that taxpayer awareness (X1) and tax sanctions (X2) have a positive and significant effect on taxpayer compliance (Y). The regression equation obtained is Y = 0.738 + 1.222X1 + 0.128X2, with a coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.853. This shows that taxpayer awareness and tax sanctions together explain 85.3% of the variability in taxpayer compliance, while the remaining 14.7% is influenced by other factors. Taxpayer awareness has a more dominant effect than tax sanctions, with coefficients of 1.222 and 0.128, respectively. This study recommends enhancing public outreach and education about the benefits of taxes and enforcing clear and firm sanctions to encourage taxpayer compliance. These findings provide significant contributions to tax management in regions with unique socio-economic characteristics such as Ambon City

Abstract

Water is a vital resource for human life; however, its availability in sufficient quantity and good quality remains a challenge, especially in rural areas. This study aims to evaluate the quality and quantity of public healthy water in Huse Hamlet, Sanahu Village, Elpaputih District, West Seram Regency, based on the standards outlined in the Indonesian Ministry of Health Regulation No. 416/Menkes/Per/IX/1990. A descriptive approach was used, analyzing physical, chemical, and biological water parameters. The results show that the healthy water is physically considered safe, with color, turbidity, and total dissolved solids (TDS) within acceptable limits. However, the iron levels (2.06 mg/L) and chloride (1836 mg/L) exceeded the chemical thresholds. Biologically, total coliform and fecal coliform counts reached 240 MPN, far above the allowed standard, although Escherichia coli was not detected. In terms of quantity, the water supply is generally sufficient according to the community, although seasonal variations and tidal influences affect the volume. Therefore, improved water management strategies are needed, such as filtration systems, infrastructure development for clean water distribution, and community education on water conservation.
