Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of poultry farming on environmental sanitation in Leahari Village, Leitimur Selatan District, Ambon City. The research uses a descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach, where data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation study. The findings show that poultry farming in Leahari Village provides positive impacts on the local economy, such as creating job opportunities and supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). However, poultry farming also leads to negative impacts such as air, water, and soil pollution due to improper waste management. Ammonia gas from chicken manure causes air pollution, while liquid waste contaminates groundwater and soil. To address this, the study suggests the implementation of biogas technology for waste management, educating the community about waste management, and strengthening regulations and government supervision. This research provides recommendations for improving the management of poultry farming waste to be more environmentally friendly and sustainable.

Economic, cultural, and social factors are key drivers of community participation in tourism activities. Awareness of the importance of environmental cleanliness and preservation has increased. The study concludes that tourism has a significant positive impact on the economy, but sustainable management is needed to ensure that the benefits are distributed evenly across the community and to preserve the environment.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought various changes to everyday life, including in the field of education. One prominent phenomenon is the increasing use of online games by students, which can have both positive and negative impacts on their behavior and academic performance. This study aims to analyze the extent to which online games affect the academic achievement of students at SMP Muhammadiyah Ambon. The research uses a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods, with data collected through questionnaires and interviews, and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that the impact of online games varies depending on the students' ability to manage their time. Some students who are able to limit their gaming time and prioritize studying continue to show good academic performance. However, students who struggle to control the amount of time spent on gaming tend to experience a decline in academic achievement. This indicates that the influence of online games is not entirely negative if balanced with good self-control. Therefore, it is important for students, parents, and teachers to work together to raise awareness of the importance of time management and self-regulation, so that gaming activities do not interfere with, but rather support, optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

Education plays a vital role in improving the quality of human resources, with the curriculum serving as a key guideline. The Merdeka Curriculum is a new policy that provides flexibility in learning to suit students' needs better. This study aims to analyze the influence of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum on students' learning interests at SMA Negeri 3 Ambon. This study employed a quantitative approach by distributing structured questionnaires to 30 randomly selected 10th and 11th-grade students at SMA Negeri 3 Ambon to gather relevant and measurable data. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results show that implementing the Merdeka Curriculum positively and significantly affects students' learning interests, with a regression coefficient of 0.590 and a significance value of 0.000. It indicates that flexible, project-based, student-centered learning can increase student engagement. However, the success of its implementation depends on teacher readiness, availability of learning facilities, and teaching strategies. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of population growth on coastal environmental cleanliness in Poka Rumah Tiga Village, Teluk Ambon District. Rapid population growth often results in increased waste production and pressure on coastal ecosystems. The research method used is a descriptive quantitative approach with surveys conducted through questionnaires distributed to 200 respondents. The study findings indicate that rapid population growth has led to a significant increase in unmanaged household waste. The primary contributing factors include a lack of community awareness regarding waste management and insufficient waste management infrastructure. Further analysis shows that communities with higher education levels tend to have better environmental awareness. In conclusion, a collaborative effort among the government, community, and private sector is needed to develop more effective waste management strategies to maintain coastal environmental cleanliness.

Abstract

When used as a promotional tool for tourist destinations, such as Ngurbloat Beach in Southeast Maluku, social media holds immense potential to increase visitor numbers significantly. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method, and data is collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results indicate that social media, particularly Instagram and Facebook, effectively enhances the beach's visibility; however, it faces challenges such as limited human resources, inadequate technological infrastructure, and a lack of coordination among stakeholders. It is suggested that human resources training be strengthened, urgent improvements to infrastructure prioritized, and stronger collaboration between the government and local communities should be encouraged. With these steps, Ngurbloat Beach can become a more recognized premier tourist destination, attracting more visitors

Abstract

Waste issues in the coastal area of Ambon City present a serious challenge that affects both the environment and public health. This study aims to identify and analyze community-based waste management strategies implemented by Moluccas Coastal Care (MCC) to achieve a clean and healthy environment. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results show that MCC implements the 4R strategy (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Replace) through education, campaigns, and practical actions such as clean-up events and recycling workshops. This strategy has succeeded in increasing public awareness, although challenges remain regarding low participation, limited facilities, and insufficient policy support. In conclusion, community-based waste management effectively drives behavioral change and maintains the coastal environment, but broader collaboration is needed for long-term sustainability.
